Top notch printing quality and incredibly efficient. I've used them a couple times now to print postcards for work and placed my order on their website (there's a pretty easy set up process if you have artwork made already). I was confused about something online so simply called and was able to have my question answered right away. My order for 500 postcards were ready in the same day! I had to re-order the same postcard a few days later, but I didnt want the same amount so I didnt press the reorder button online. I was able to email them to place my order for a different volume and again my order was ready in the same day. Very friendly service in person when I went to pick up. The staff is kind, friendly, and professional and their prices are very cheap. I was impressed by the quality of the photos I printed and by how affordable it was. They have self-service, or if you need them to do it for you, the usually have ready later on the same day. I love Replica! I'm a graphic designer in Berkeley, I use them all the time. They always make me look good. I recently had them print a small, soft cover art book (staple stitch) everything was perfect, the color, resolution, pagination. I had previously used an online printer with awful results. Using Replica was a treat! And the price was the same. Their turn around time is excellent. Really fast. Much faster then PS. The biggest drawback is that the neighborhood's Parking is awful. (I'm sure I'll get a ticket eventually) My only tip is check to see if there's a minimum number of your order. I think I've paid a premium for a small run in the past. read more

Amit and team are amazing! I have to hand it to them, as Replica met my deadlines and even gave me a surprise when I saw the price. To go into detail is: I had many files with special trims and varying text weights and they were able to give me pointers on what to adjust and change for future prints. They also helped adjust my files so they fit better with no issues without me asking as they will tell me what's happening as they check the files. My deadline was in two days but I had emailed them my requests the prior day for confirmation and checking. I went to Replica the next day but both techs were out for reasons I can agree are unavoidable (first time this has happened in my few times here); but I have to say "WOW", because the next day (the day before the deadline) I showed up at 10am to hand off the other files to learn they already started printing my custom book. This was for my portfolio so they saved me by a long shot. They know the ins and outs of what works and what doesn't as I didn't give them the style of paper for the book but they did what was best and appropriate and the surprise was I actually found the book looked better than I thought the outcome would be. It wasn't a forced decision as they elaborated why those options were chosen because the options I wanted originally wouldn't have worked in the overall binding. The best part is they did all my prints in the same day which is hard to get from other professional print shops. The quality is amazing as well as their prices are competitive. Definitely one of my go to places to print when I need things done. Big Pros: They tell you if files are off somewhere and give you instructions on what to change for future. ( I've used them a few times and each time they tell me what could be changed if there's a problem) They don't haggle you on anything even when you have special requests on prints as they will tell you what's possible or not and if there's a solution. They also explain and show you the types of paper if you're unsure on your choice. They even give you a expected finish time so you can prepare yourself if you are requesting same day printing. I'm conflicted about the experience I had here. I had to print a portfolio (color - very important!) and some drawing sets (b&w) for a last-minute job interview. I came in to have over 200 pages (20 color, the rest b&w) printed an hour and a half before closing... On the one hand, the employee who helped me was super accommodating and got everything printed very quickly. But on the other hand, when I went home and opened the shrink wrap that they put around my prints, I was shocked to find that 3/4 of the color pages had a large, obvious fold running across each page. Granted, this means that they technically only messed up on 15/200 sheets. However, it is simply unacceptable to me that the employee would use paper that has been damaged on such an important set of prints. I would still recommend them for most jobs as they are knowledgeable and quick, but if you're looking for a really high quality printer and details are important, I would look elsewhere. read more

I've been getting stuff printed here for the past 3 years. Everything from resume's to event flyers, to posters. I even came in once, desperately needed a ream of paper, and they sold me one! Replica offers the most economical printing service in Berkeley, especially for color printing. For prices like $1 for a full color 11x17 poster, the quality is excellent. You can upload your job online through their website and they'll let you know when your order is ready for pick up -- very convenient. If the website is too confusing, you can also bring your file to the shop. When printing a large job (e.g. 2000 postcards) they'll even offer you a chance to print a proof. I've encountered very fast turnaround time, usually 1 day or less for small jobs and no more than 2 days for a large job. 10/10 would recommend. read more

Although we didn't use Replica Copy for our printing projects, I was inclined to write them a review due to their decent customer service. As part of PILLS' NCPPS Programs Committee, I was responsible for finding a company that would quickly and cost-effectively print our symposium programs. When I first got in touch with Replica, we were looking for quotes for not only the programs but also a few poster boards. Amit followed up on my request with inquiries about stitching and bleeding (printing borders) before sending me an official estimate. We pulled together and finalized our program 4 days before the symposium, which had resulted in some changes to the number of pages and quantity of programs needed. As such, my objective was to obtain updated price estimates. Unfortunately, Amit was unreachable by phone and email, and due to the time-crunch we were in, we decided to send our printing project over to Krishna Copy. Below were the price quotes for our printing project: Item: booklet, saddle stitch, 48 sides including cover (cover: 4/1 on 32lb Smooth White paper, inside: 1/1 on 20lb White paper) Quantity: 300 Price: $409.14 Item: 2' x 3' B&W poster mounted on foam core Quantity: 2 Price: $67.98 Total: $477.12 + $41.75 tax = $518.87 All in all, Replica was professional and very thorough in their understanding of our printing projects, and their prices were comparable to those of Krishna Copy. I loathe kinko's after having them botch almost every project I gave them starting in design school. I was making a small run of wedding invites for a friend's wedding and needed to print on specialty paper. I went in, printed a color profile, rematched my colors on my laptop, and then had the guy working print them. The paper was a little slick so he had to run most of them through manually. He was so PATIENT and FRIENDLY. Also, how were 20 color copies only $5? I almost felt guilty not tipping because the service was so great! read more

Love it here. Cheapest printing I've paid for. GREAT customer service. I printed a book (350 pages) and it took 30 minutes. I asked them to print it out like a regular fiction book (8"x5.5" paper) and bind it into a booklet. The book cost ~$13. I left for 20 minutes to grab a bite to eat and came back it was done! I almost never write crappy yelp reviews, but the customer service here is seriously poor. not sure what the hype about friendliness here is about. maybe replica is only nice to those who are making copies with them? I called to see if a course reader was in stock and was hung up on mid-sentence. (this was pretty shocking in light of the positive yelp reviews!) on picking up the course reader, I greeted the man behind the counter (Amit, I'm guessing) and received no greeting back: only a silent stare, and was then finally asked if he could help me with something. overall an extremely unpleasant and rude experience unlike any other in Berkeley. (pretty sure it was the same guy from the phone call.) again: it could be that Replica is accustomed to mistreating students who are forced to come here and put up with their rudeness to pick up readers. but for $60, I expected at least common decency. read more

I needed to print readers ASAP. I expected it would take a day or two, but I came in with a PDF of the readings, and they took care of me right away. I had 15 copies of my reader (~200 pg) within two hours. (NOTE: This was during the summer, maybe one of their slower months.) The folks here pay attention to details. I wish I'd known in advance that they'll scan and clean up pages free of charge -- and prefer to because they care about printing a clean and high quality product.
