I did not know I had to place an order ahead of time for my History 7B reader. I easily walked past this place on Oxford and had to retract a few steps. This place is owned and operated by Indians just like Krishna Copy Center where I had to buy another read right before tonight's purchase here. The name of this place is repetitive if you think about it. Replica means copy, so Copy Copy? I know, I'm funny. Anyway, I have to wait until tomorrow to pick it up when I need it right away for a class discussion tomorrow morning. Grr! read more

I almost never write crappy yelp reviews, but the customer service here is seriously poor. not sure what the hype about friendliness here is about. maybe replica is only nice to those who are making copies with them? I called to see if a course reader was in stock and was hung up on mid-sentence. (this was pretty shocking in light of the positive yelp reviews!) on picking up the course reader, I greeted the man behind the counter (Amit, I'm guessing) and received no greeting back: only a silent stare, and was then finally asked if he could help me with something. overall an extremely unpleasant and rude experience unlike any other in Berkeley. (pretty sure it was the same guy from the phone call.) again: it could be that Replica is accustomed to mistreating students who are forced to come here and put up with their rudeness to pick up readers. but for $60, I expected at least common decency. read more

I have been to Replica Copy regularly over the past year. I tend to print just a few pages at a time. First of all, there is no absurd fee for using a computer, and the printer, "Old Fiery," is reliable and fast. The employees are friendly and honest. If I had to be critical of something, there is a $10 minimum for debit/credit purchases, so if your print job is small, make sure to have cash (or more likely, change, given the reasonable cost of black/white printing). Replica changed hands/management rather recently. After months of the self-service computers being out of service they have shifted to no longer offering self-service printing options at all, which is very disappointing. You can email them documents to print, however these are rarely done on the spot, and you would need to return "in a few hours," or even the following day to recuperate your work. Often the self-service copier (they only have one) is occupied or offline, so there's really no point in ever going here, unless you have a large order that you send to them in advance. read more

I use Replica all the time for our business - they are fast, cheap, and do a good job of making our not-so-professional artwork actually look like we intended it to look, even without the proper bleeds and color format. They have done some beautiful posters, bookmarks, programs, brochures, postcards and more for us. I don't bother comparing prices with other printing places anymore because Replica almost always comes out as the cheapest if we select the pick-up option. They have also done same-day jobs for us at a significantly lower price than FedEx. One qualification: I haven't done any huge quantities here. This is the best printing service I have used in Berkeley and surrounding cities. I arrived on a Sunday afternoon, having foolishly forgotten to check their hours. Though the store was closed, the employee inside allowed for me and my friend to go in and purchase our readers for Bio 1A/L (UC Berkeley course). Incredibly affordable printing, only $19 for my lab manual and all of the pre-labs and worksheets printed out!
