I had to request a rush academic poster printing last week. I made an online order late at night, and Inder kindly provided the printed poster before noon! Furthermore, even the price was extremely low! The poster quality was superb, and Inder provided an extra piece of large paper for wrapping. I was looking for a professsional printing shop to have some nice posters printed before an event. I'd created a nice, high resolution image in Photoshop but I hadn't yet figured out where to get it printed. I looked on Yelp and saw that lots of people said great things about Inder at Fast Imaging, so I reached out. The best way to start is to email one of the Fast Imaging locations from the email addresses listed on the company's web site, and then also call if you're in a hurry. I was able to upload my very large image file to Dropbox, share a link, and then coordinate with Inder. Later that day I went to the University Ave location, met Inder in person, and we chatted while he did the print job right then and there. He ran a test on two different weights of poster media, and one of them worked strikingly well for my needs. Then he ran a full run of 20 more prints right then and there and he even used a machine to smoothly and accurately trim the margin afterward. The result was a professional quality poster that I took to my event out of town the next day. My poster was quite a hit. Inder is very friendly and personable, and I'm looking forward to bringing my future print needs to Fast Imaging. It is possible to get last minute print jobs done (but we're human, so that's not guaranteed), and my recommendation is that you don't wait until the last minute. I think the only bad reviews are from people who are disappointed that they couldn't get their print jobs done last minute. The equipment in Fast Imaging is pretty amazing. read more

After calling multiple small businesses around the East Bay, this was the lowest quote I received. The customer service was exceptional and friendly. He went above and beyond in communicating with me via phone and email, and his feedback on sizing was so helpful. I appreciated that he printed a smaller version of the poster for me so I could see how it would look before printing the full-size version. He also gave me feedback on the best way to export the document to come out with the best printing result. The price point was very reasonable. The only thing I would change about my experience is how they process online payments (a "credit card on file authorization form"), which did not feel as secure to me as other payment methods, so I ended up paying upfront in person. Very terrible service! I wanted to make signs because I'm going to a wrestling show, and I'm not good at art at all. I was stressing looking for a design artist. Inder said he would help me. I asked to meet up in person so I can actually show how I want my signs to look. He himself said he will "text" me in "about 2 hours." I found that fishy as is instead of saying he'll call but hey, I needed his services. I then asked if he's still willing to meet up because he didn't have the decency to tell me he won't make it. Then he text later saying he got home late. Don't know why he couldn't tell me at the moment as I was waiting for him to contact me since I was excited to get mi signs made. Move over Staples, I ain't ever printing with you again. Yes, Fast Imaging is a slightly more expensive than Staples, but the service and care you get is worth it! I was in a bind and needed some printed foamboard, I called around and Staples was cheapest, but they couldn't do it in the turn around time, and Fast Imaging was the next best option and they far exceeded my expectation. They had it done in the time they said they would, its of the best quality, they wrapped it and sent me off my merry way. The quality is top notch, the service was wonderful and they offered to help with any design needs for future projects as I had a slight sizing failure. I'll be back, for sure! read more

They are absolutely amazing at what they do here! Inder and Jocelyn have fantastic customer service and get things done so quickly. I've come here for several print jobs, ranging from a few pages of PDF files, to printing a birthday card I drew, and even giant temporary sleeve tattoos I've needed to wear for a cosplay. For the tattoo, I provided my own inkjet tattoo paper that I bought from ebay, and brought it and the PDF files to them. Because it's a sleeve tattoo, they recommended me to divide the tattoo into different sections so that it can be printed out onto different sheets of the paper. They were hesitant to print the tattoo, but they gave it a shot, and it worked out fantastically. I've gotten so many compliments. Now that I no longer live in Berkeley, I just wish that they could be open on weekends, but I try to make it out here whenever I need a print job done. They get all the 5 stars! read more

Fast Imaging is open M-F 9-6pm & closed on Sat/Sun. This is my favorite copying center in the East Bay & had a great experience with them recently for an order of business cards. I've previously been to Fast Imaging for printing out copies yet I was very happy with my experience at Fast Imaging recently when I ordered a box of 500 business cards to be done. At first Inder said it would take a few days to complete my order yet he ended up doing the order same day w/ a fast turnaround. Inder has been making business cards for 26 years so is a master of the craft as I feel he has logged in his 10,000 hours & has the experience. I appreciated his help fine-tuning some of my images & his suggestions for making the business cards better with subtleties that I feel made the difference. I especially like his feedback to find a good card stock to print them. After looking at several samples I found the perfect card stock. Summary: This is the epitome of customer service. Restaurants, cafes, clothing stores, gyms, barbers - they can all learn from Inder and his dedication to providing excellent service. This guy truly cares about his customers and he's made printing his craft. My Experience: I needed a quick print for an art portfolio book. The portfolio had graphics, photographs, and text, so I was looking for a printer with an Inkjet printer for higher quality images. Many local printers only use laser printing, but Fast Imaging has both! I came in at about 4:00pm to do some test printing. The employees told me i could test print a couple of my pages to make sure the colors came out the way I wanted, but to print the portfolio booklet, I would have to wait a full day. They told me the test prints would be done in an hour. I left and came back at about 5:50pm. Thats when I met owner, Inder. He personally took my printing file, printed several more test prints for me on different kinds of paper. Recommended different book binding options for me. Personally took the time and printed and bound my book himself, all while juggling phone calls and handling his employees. He talked me through the whole process and he gave me an amazing price on it. By the time I walked out of the store, it was 6:20pm. YOU GUYS. THE STORE CLOSES AT 6:00PM....this guy took the time to print and bind my book AFTER STORE HOURS. who does that?? Most printing places (or any store for that matter) will say "sorry come back tomorrow and we can get it done for you." Not Inder. I went to Fast Imaging a week ago to print some booklets for Society of Asian Scientists and Engineer (SASE) West Regional Conference. The event had professionals from GE, Lockheed, Google, and other big name companies attending. We wanted to print 200 booklets for our attendees from all over California to introduce the speakers and time schedule for workshops. When we first printed the proof, I didn't notice a printing error where the name of 2 speakers were completely wiped from the middle of the page! By the time I realize the mistake, 200 copies have already been printed. However, the owner was more than willing to work with me to re-print the entire order. Free of charge! Literally the best experience I've EVER had with a printing service. I needed help printing something immediately, and asked over the phone if they could print it and hand it to an Uber driver so it could make it to our required appointment on time. The document was printed in a matter of moments, and the man who helped me (I forgot to ask his name in all my frazzle.. and really wish I had!) offered to give it to an Uber driver, no additional costs, fees, complaints. I walked in needed some invitations printed by end of day, not knowing it would be a few hours (since they have lots of other projects on deadline, too). Jocelyn helped me decide on which type of paper to use, and how much I was willing to spend to make them look fancy. She printed proofs of my files, so I could make the call. I needed to get a project printed out for my class and being a total newb that I am- Fast Imaging was extremely helpful, patient and FAST! Everything is high quality... from the paper, to the imaging, to the binding. The whole team is friendly and knowledgeable and they are willing to take the time to get to know you and teach you about their craft. I will say, you should come in knowing exactly what you need done and a general idea on how that is to be accomplished. Inder and the staff are real professionals. They stand by their promised QUALITY and TIMELINESS. I had to print a 140 page Full Color Graphic portfolio for a job application and they managed to print 4 PERFECT copies overnight. After not being satisfied with the color reproductions on the 4 test prints, Inder sat down with me and helped me packaged necessary indesign files (2 gigabytes) so use them to Color Match it with his printer. The colors were spot on. He used that test as a proof such that the final copies would be the same colors or else the prints are free. Also the I can get down to .12 Lineweights. I've never been able to print that thin on prints elsewhere. Also I had specified Wire O binding (wires with square holes) Inder did not have any in his Berkeley Shop so over night he went and picked up a box so he can use it for my portfolio specifically. This is by far THE BEST printing place I've ever been. That's saying a lot since living on University and Shattuck, there are printing places everywhere I turn. As a member of a student organization on campus, we get very limited funding. Inder is very understanding of my situation and is always willing to work with my budget for printing brochures, certificates, etc. He is also very willing to assist me in achieving the highest quality prints! Whether you want a simple photocopy of a document, to have a document notarized, to laminate a picture, to print a brochure, to create a feather banner or have your thesis project printed, this is the place you should be coming to. They are honest, helpful and knowledgeable. The owner, Inder, works hard, and will strive to meet whatever deadline you have. They now close on the weekend, mostly because they work super hard throughout the week. Bring a flashdrive, send it via email, talk to them, and have your work done with them. Although the reader you presented me almost brought me to tears (mind you, a 1000 page reader for a class that already has a thick textbook does that to you), you did share in my dread even saying to another customer, "If you think your reader is large, look at hers *points to mine*." The price for that reader was actually cheaper than I expected ($32). At other places, I paid more for a reader that was only 1/2 of the size! The staff was friendly and answered all my questions. If you're looking for real customer care, reliability, and quality, I highly recommend this place. My wife and I have come to Inder, the owner, twice now to get some projects printed out for our wedding and he has truly gone out of his way to make things happen for us. The first time we went to him, we were in a time crunch and he was closing up, but he was more than happy to help us in finishing with our prints.
