I contacted Duxwell on a Friday afternoon around 3:30pm because my work team needed posters quickly for a hiring event the next day. David was so courteous, calm, and clear when we spoke on the phone, and I learned that anything size 12"x18" can be prepared in under an hour. Since the prints were needed before 10am the next day, David said we could either pick the finished posters up later that evening, or he could call the specialist in earlier Saturday morning. It turns out, David was gracious enough to call his technician in the same day and the team was able to pick up 5 posters just a few hours after I initially reached out! He was very friendly and thoughtful in explaining what product and pricing options I had. I decided to come to the shop to drop off my book and it was quite bustling with many customers coming and going. An order like this would typically have a next-day turnaround time elsewhere, but even with how busy they were they said they could get it done by end of day. Duxwell Printing is a fantastic little shop in the heart of Chinatown. David, the owner has been in the print business for nearly 25 years. He's very nice, extremely helpful and professional. I had a rush job and needed over a thousand pages of legal documents printed and he knocked it out in less than an hour. I just walked in off the street and he said no problem. I strolled down to a corner restaurant and had a nice Vietnamese lunch and by the time I finished and sent a couple emails, David had everything packaged and wrapped up for me. David was incredibly responsive and helpful. Unfortunately my own personal printer broke before I was able to print addresses for my wedding envelopes. I already had the envelopes I wanted to have printed, but many places do not take customer supplied envelopes. This was not a problem at all for Duxwell printing. I stopped by to show David the envelope size/type and he said it would be no problem at all for their shop. I had 139 envelopes addressed for only $20. A very reasonable price for the service. The envelopes came out perfectly! And David had the printing complete the very next day! 10/10 service. I will be coming back here for any of my printing needs and would recommend to anyone who's in a pinch. Definitely saved the day for my wedding invitation envelopes! One thing to note is that I already had a mail merge file completed and the envelopes formatted for printing on a Word document. It's recommended to provide Duxwell printing with the PDF file of addressed envelopes so your fonts and sizing are exactly the way you designed them. When you PDF your word document mail merged envelopes, it should PDF to the correct size if you've set up your word file correctly. read more
