This business really helped me out in a pinch. I needed to print out a set of square photos for my photography class. I came in at the ninth hour and they were able to access the images from Google Drive and print them out. The quality was nice and I didn't have to pay too much. It was like $10. I asked them to cut and trim the photos but they said there would be a charge. So, I just went down the street to Kinkos and used their free paper cutter. It would be nice if this place had a computer center to work on projects. I had to sit on the counter and use my laptop. Eventually, I went next door to the Hawaiian food spot to work and then came back. Still, this place lived up to their name - Fast Imaging! read more

Families can make you crazy. I won't go into the gory details, but I needed a lot and lot of important documents copied asap. Not only did I need them copied, but I needed them copied in a specific fashion. And the documents were a mess. So I was more then stressed when I entered Fast Imaging and saw they were quite busy. However, when I talked to Mandeep Kaur and told her what I needed and why, she told me she would personally handle everything and could start immediately. She was wonderful and I instantly relaxed. After copying the first few pages, she checked to make sure everything was being done to my satisfaction. She also checked on the originals since they were old and fragile, to make sure they were being copied correctly. Mandeep went above and beyond to assist me. She was kind and helpful; and you could tell that a quality product and customer service are important to her. I have used Fast Imaging before and their work has always been spot on. We used them to make a poster and invites for my mother-in-law's birthday. The person who helped us with the poster really improved the look of it. It was a big hit at the party. We have also used them for other services and they have always been prompt and reliable. Every year, I produce an oversized (13"x19") photo wall calendar for my family. For 20 years, I took it to a binder in San Francisco, but unfortunately he retired at the end of 2019 and closed the business. This is the second year that I have taken the calendars to be spiral bound at Fast Imaging, mostly because they were the only outfit that didn't just tell me it couldn't be done. Last year, they didn't deliver when they said they would (at least a week late), I had to ask more than once for hanger holes to be drilled so the recipients could hang their *wall calendars* on the wall, and I even had to bring one of the calendars back because it was bound out of order -- which they blamed on my negligence. (I didn't argue because they rebound it at no charge.) This year, anticipating untimely completion, I delivered the calendars (with order double-checked!) on Nov. 29. I finally got them back on Dec. 14, a week later than promised, because they initially forgot to drill the hanger holes (even though they wrote it down and apparently remembered me from last year). Do I detect a pattern here? I won't even touch on the pricing, which increased a whopping 50% over last year. Even pandemic inflation can't account for this. I don't like to write a negative review, but as a professional with my own business, I know that when you promise a client something, you do it. Either that or you resign yourself to customers who don't come back. My 2023 calendar will be bound elsewhere. read more

I was on a time crunch to trying to get photos printed for a gift and The workers there were extremely helpful. The lady (I think it was the store owner) went behind my expectations to help get the images printed and resized them manually so they would properly fit for my gift! Not a friendly place and a total rip off. They charged me a $9.99 fee because they had to open up multiple PDF's. Really? You click them and they open, it's not worth a $10 surcharge. Also, the girl mixed up all my files and I ended up with an unorganized pile of papers. Ended up paying $13 for something that should have cost $3 I don't recommend this place for standard printing jobs. read more

I had my office store front sign done here. I had a great experience and would do business with them again! I went in to have a larger window sign made and dealt with Zaz. He was kind and very helpful. The entire staff was very friendly and courteous. I had went to the FedEx Kinko's in Alameda and got the "run around" They promised the same sign Fast Imaging would make but proceeded to call me 3 days later saying they couldn't do it and the sign would come in 10 different pieces. Fast Imaging was very fast and provided great service. After letting them know I was a new business they were willing to make a "push" and "pull" sign for free. Simply cannot recommend this site highly enough. In July, my nonprofit was referred to Fast Imaging Center by the West Alameda Business Association for a very large "boulevard banner." Despite a very short turnaround time, Zaz pulled out all the stops so we'd have the finished product on time. When we needed another banner in October, we returned to Fast Imaging without hesitation. Printing is 5 stars, hands down. Thank you so much you guys. First time having a banner printed, and they did an amazing job with it. We literally submitted the graphic at 6pm and it was done by 11am the next day. I was told that they stayed late past 11pm to make sure the print turned out well and would be dry for me to pick up the next day. SUPER impressed, and appreciated their work very very much. 4 stars only because I wish that the Berkeley branch, which is the place that took our order (they don't do the printing, Alameda does), would have helped us to communicate with the Alameda printing shop better. The lady was helpful and nice in Berkeley but she was relaying the message between the printer and us about where to put grommets on the banner to be hung under a canopy, and the message did not come through clearly. We got there thinking the places we grommetted were ok but the printer there told us he deals with canopies all the time and could have suggested that we marked out where our canopy cover had its grommets so they can match the grommets accordingly. We basically had to take the banner back (un-grommeted), and mark the holes and bring it back to have grommets put in. But since we needed the banner that very next day, we decided to just live with it as is and used binder clips. Will probably measure it out properly and bring it back. If we had known that the Alameda folks could have just communicated directly with us, we all could have saved on a lot of time and energy. Anyway, will not hesitate to use this print shop again, but would probably go straight to Alameda instead next time. read more

Had a somewhat rushed work project - the boss wanted to do Kinko's but I chose Fast Imaging instead after reading their reviews...like a previous poster noted, you pretty much deal with the same folks here, as opposed to Kinko's where it's a revolving door of different personnel, which can lend itself to miscommunication and lots of errors. The Fast Imaging folks provided constant feedback and the job was done for half the cost of the Kinko's quote. The boss was impressed!!
