Design-A-Sign - My Sola salon glass door sign - Graphic Design Near Me - Albany, California

This review is not about their quality of work. It's about their professionalism and customer service. I was hoping to get some banners printed when I reached out to Sandy. She responded quickly with a quote, but after a few email exchanges, she stopped responding. I waited for a week, then decided to go with another business. read more

I really want to give them more stars as i like the guys there. But After spending over $1000 on an assortment of signage for my business, Many plastic exterior realtor type signs with wire frames Several Large Framed metal Exterior signs, a large banner vinyl canvas with grommets , a Metal 2 sided sandwich board a car sign I can say only the one for my car window (which I insisted against their recommendations to have it installed on the INSIDE of the glass) has lasted and looks decent at all. All the other signs immediately showed signs of scratching and wear of the printed material. I had asked them the same day I picked them up as they immediately got some marks on the logo. They implied they were still wet and it was my fault. No solution. No concern that they were selling me something that would immediately become crap and not met exterior conditions. Well I have since found out that they never do a vinyl protective coating over the stuff they print which means even months or years later it wears off really easily. You will not be able to scrub or clean your exterior signs from them. Compared to signs I had made from another company 12 years ago these are JUNK and were a HUGE WASTE of MONEY!!$ My old signs from another company are still washable, full color, no scratched off destruction to the printed material. I would NOT recommend this venue for signage of any kind also no signage info on sight about text size of Font styles and which are readable from which distance etc... basic signage vendor important info for clarity when making a sign for a client- yes? not here i guess read more

Awesome shop. Priced very reasonably and very easy to work with. Eric helped me with a van I needed decals for and it turned out great! One little hick up but its no big deal. Very satisfied with the service! Thank you Eric! read more

Design-A-Sign did AMAZING work. We came with an idea and they made it a reality. They have a really cool and laid back demeanor, so we never felt pressured or awkward trying to explain something. Eric & Nick were very friendly and helpful through the whole process. We will be back to work with them again if we open future shops, or need more signage. read more

Design-A-Sign - We couldn't be happier! - Graphic Design Near Me - Albany, California

Cash flow is tight but my new garden service needs to spend on quality marketing. Erik did a proof for our door-sign and I put down a deposit and three days later (they are closed on the weekends) I had me the most-def design ever hands down. Design-A-Sign does quality work at affordable prices. read more

Before going to Design-A-Sign, I went to another sign shop, who took forever, then did it wrong. I had to request my money back. Seemed like the other shop only cared about big orders. That left me needing the sign done fast, so i could have it for an upcoming event. Design-A-Sign listened, did what I wanted, and got my sign done ahead of time. read more

What fast and friendly service! I was driving in Albany one day and passed Design-A-Sign. Something caught my attention since I had been considering for two years to finally get magnetic signs for my car for my Feng Shui Business. I went inside, described what I wanted, placed my order, and --voila-- the signs and decals were done lickety-split. In just a few days I had the very things I had been thinking about for over 2 years. That simple! Eric and the gang at Design-A-Sign are awesome! They made the process EASY! I highly recommend them! :-) read more

I came into contact with design a sign when I first started first select Pest Control about a year ago. Eric was exceptional then and absolutely exceptional now. I highly recommend designer sign for any signage needs. Eric is honest, transparent, and willing to make adjustments when things are brought to his attention. This is my second vehicle and I hope to have all my vehicle's logoed by design a sign. Thanks again Eric you're the best read more

We have about 20 vehicles in our company's fleet that have all been done by Design a Sign. We come back because it is a convenient location, the prices are affordable and the work is always clean and precise. We are always impressed with the way they come out and definitely make our company look more professional and it also brings in extra leads from being seen on the streets. We have also done a few banners with them and have come out looking fantastic. Thanks to Eric and his team for the great work!! read more

I have used these guys twice now for signage for a couple of public projects and as much as I think they are really nice guys - their work was far less than perfect. The artwork on one of my sign orders was not fixed as they said they would before the printed the sign (I paid them extra to do this). But I gave them another chance with a second sign order - an acrylic sign where the signage is mounted on the back of a piece of plexi - and this white sign came back to me with black dust bubbles (air pockets) embedded in the sign. When I asked them about this the women behind the counter - I think the mother of the boys that runs the shop - was very arrogant and did would offer to redo the sign. She seems to be running the show down there now and in her mind the customer does not come first. I paid nearly $50 for this 7 x 11 sign for which she felt I should not complain since it was such a good price! (I thought it was pretty expensive for what I got on top of it having flaws!) Anyway- I am sorry to say I am going to have to find another shop to work with in the future. read more

We needed a new sign after thirty years in business. I called, we talked, I imagined and they executed. The sign turned out great. Most everyone I have spoken to, thinks it is wonderful. They were easy to work with and got the project done in a timely fashion. Sandy was really helpful, her practical suggestions turned out to be just right. read more

Sandra helped the Albany Rotary Club with a very challenging job (a bronze plaque), and came through beautifully. She even found a way to include the Rotary logo even though it was a lot smaller than would normally be required for bronze casting. Beautiful result and in plenty of time for the dedication. read more

This place is great. They helped me with a really odd project for my show and did a great job. Not only were they up for an odd request, they were excited to do something new. Really great service. Very happy. Thanks! read more

My business has been burglarized 3 times. The last time this burglar broke my front two windows to get inside. Design-A-Sign helped numerous times with printing up the window stickers (they never fade in the sun). They are very nice and helped make the process a lot easier for me. read more

I was so happy to find them. I ordered a banner elsewhere that was without a critical center grommet (no one wants a saggy banner!) They added a center one for me on the spot. I wish I had found them when I was looking for the job in the first place. Really great vibe in there I hope to have the opportunity to work with them in the future. read more

Our business spent a while looking around for signage services, and I'm glad we settled on Design-A-Sign. Sandy and Erik were super friendly and professional about creating new our new storefront signage. From the quality of the work to the installation, we are very pleased! read more

I had an unusual project: To create a sign that was a large version of the cover of a children's book I'm having published, with a cutout for a kid's face, for photographic purposes. Every other vendor I contacted either seemed vague on whether this was going to work, wasn't willing to do the cutout, and/or charged more. (And several never got back to me at all.) Eric, at Design-A-Sign, however, really took the time to understand the project, do the math, adjust the design so the hole for the face could be big enough for, you know, a real human face, and create the cutout--and it looks fantastic! Better yet, they got it done quickly, in time for an event I had coming up. Couldn't be happier. read more

Design-A-Sign they did for sure. Both Eric and Nick were easy to work with and custom designed this sign for my business. Very happy with the results. The end product performed as intended and they met the deadline for production. read more

If you don't have a time-sensitive project this is the place for you. Otherwise, try someone else. Two times I needed vinyl letters (about 36 of them) cut for a wall, and I needed them on a deadline. But times I was assured they would be done on time and maybe even earlier. But times they didn't have them done anywhere near on time. And with no apology, just an "oh, well." Don't bother. read more

These guys have helped my business out twice now, and I couldn't be happier with the product and the service. Called up late on a friday for a banner I needed done for Saturday morning and they hammered it out just in time saving the day. They also were inifinitley patient while the city of berkeley went over our hanging sign design for our business up the street. It still looks great after 3 years. read more
