I needed help finding the right machine and I needed help operating it. I'm not familiar with these big, commercial copy machines. I had 2 large files of medical records to copy for a court case. It was over 200 pages and a few were double-sided. The employee that was there was incredibly rude when I asked for help. . Unbelievably rude. Her tone of voice was scathing. She said things to me that are unacceptable to say to a patron of one's business. "Just use your brain" and "This is 2026 and you've never seen a copy machine before?". There was more, but I think this gives you an idea. Use an extremely sarcastic tone of voice when you read those quotes. Not a fan of the guy that worked there. He rolled his eyes at me and had subtle attitude in is voice When helping me. I just ended up leaving I guess he was upset because the file resized itself and he said it would be very small if they resized it. It resized itself to a bigger size which I didn't know it would do. When I open the file myself it's the correct size. He told me I need to resize it and I said ok thanks and started to leave. Then as I'm almost at the door he wanted to know when I needed them by, and to still send them over but I explained I was going to try to resize them like he told me to before I came back and he was very short with me. the interaction was very uncomfortable. I came in to use their guillotine paper cutter for something I already had printed elsewhere! They were kind enough to let me use one. I also then bought some envelopes that fit the postcards that I was cutting. The woman who helped me was kind and hands-off - she let me use their paper cutter and do my thing while she helped other customers. It's April in the COVID year, so getting anything is a chore. I am doing an online class and we have to have an 11X17 thing done. UPS was down for the count. The Montclair UPS shop is dreadful, the UPS shop in Adams Point did not answer the phone. The UPS corporate website is broken. I took a whack at the Fed Ex website and was afraid I was going to pay for copies that would get printed out in another state. I found this local shop. Called on the phone, got the staffer, sent email with the image and asked for five copies. It was a small, cheap job and she trusted me enough to have the five copies waiting on the counter for me when I showed up. Paid with a credit card and was done in a few minutes. read more

Absolutely amazing customer service I received today from Jason! I was in a panic because I had come from the other copy place a few doors down next to the nail shop, and they told me they no longer allow printing from their computers, or computer usage at all, and told me I would need to send my sensitive documents through their emails(which I did not feel right about doing) I had been going there my whole life, but was treated like a step child, lol! I really needed these documents by 4:30 and I'm so glad I stepped out and tried something else! From now on I will be going to Copy Plus where the customer service is great, and the customer service rep enjoys what he does, and is kind to the customers. Don't use this site for your copy needs, there are lots of other places nearby. I was charged $3.55 for a six page email on regular copy paper. I have been charged less for resumes. I needed 5 pages printed from another email, a week later went to FedEx at 300 Lakeside and paid .89 cents. read more

LAST-TIME CUSTOMER: HAD TO PAY FOR 4 UNUSABLE TEST COPIES So I go to Copy Plus because it's right across the street from my Safeway. Big mistake. I started on one machine, but the prints came out too light, so I asked for a different machine. When the cashier was ringing me up, the boss/owner called out from across the room, "he made some copies on the other machine, too." I told him they were too light. "You should have stopped after one or two." So I forked over an extra 27 cents and am never going back. UPDATE: I emailed the guy to share my Yelp review. Here's his reply: "I am happy, I have one less of these as a customer, to deal with in future. Who gives .... to yelp, anyway." So there you go! Want good service? I've been using Copy Plus for about 15 years, through consulting business and now my real estate operations. They've always been really really nice to work with. I've scoped out the cheapest place for flyers on Grand Ave. there--there are a couple of other shops on the right going down the hill--but I always come back to Copy Plus because it's great service, I can email stuff to them from my computer and pick up later, and it's always done and done right. Came here to grab their phone # (to make sure they got a job I just sent) and saw the bad review--can't imagine it from those guys. read more

I needed to make a few more copies of a class book I was publishing for my students, so I walked down the hill to Copy Plus. I was favorably impressed at first--the store was spacious and well-organized, the man behind the counter greeted me right away, and the machines were speedy and easy to use. The price (5 cents a page) was a bit more than the other copy shops on the block, but still very reasonable compared to FedEx Kinko's or Copy Central. However, the quality of the copies was disappointing. The lower third of each page was sprinkled with tiny black dots, and some of the text was blurry. It wasn't bad enough that I'd demand my money back, but I will likely choose one of the other shops nearby next time. read more

The location is convenient and there is street parking. Yesterday, I went in with a disk and notes. There was black and white copies, the majority color ie handbook, policy and procedures, and some individual copies (because my printer is down). They completed the job and it was ready in 2 hours just like they said. On prices, I have nothing to compare because I usually print my own stuff. The people were friendly. Only issue...I thought it was a little weird that they charged me extra since everything was on a CD. Not sure that is a normal procedure at other copy shops?? Overall a good experience. I have used their services many times, mostly for copies and for printing fliers and posters. Service is great and prices are decent (except for faxes!) and you can email files over for processing. Not sure how extensive their services are, but for the basics this is a great local shop and I will do business with them again. read more

I went in for some color printing of business flyers and they were super fast, copies were great quality printed directly from my file, and the price was better than anywhere. I don't know if that alex j. guy is a plant for Kinko's or something, but the folks at Copy Plus run the most real, most honest, and most inexpensive copy business in the Bay Area. I can't imagine why people line up to get ripped off by the big corporate copy shops when Copy Plus is right here. They have always helped people i send in, always did high quality work. We recently did a large pamphlet with color photographs, different weights of paper, etc. Another shop charged $5.20 each; Copy Plus charged $2.38. I asked if they didn't want to perhaps charge a little more, in order to stay in business. They are always pleasant and enjoyable to deal with. Having been a customer here for about 20 years I was expecting at least decent customer service. However, such was NOT to be the case. I was charged two times for the same service. When I tried to solve the problem, the owner told me I was lying, told me to talk to his employee, (she could do nothing), told me to call the store (they could do nothing), refused to work with me and my financial institution to solve the problem...in general, yuck, terrible service. I made 8 phone calls to try to solve the problem. This corporation (yeah, I found out they are a corporation) is the personification of bad customer service. I will never return. This location is super convenient. I can stop by Safeway and then run across the street to get copies done or send a fax. The prices are reasonable and the woman I've interacted with seems nice (although very quiet). They don't use a copy counter so I wonder sometimes how they charge appropriately. I always keep track of how many copies I make but it just seems weird that they don't have a way to count copies. read more

A friend of mine told me they do great work, so after shopping around at a few different copy places, I decided to give them a try. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I am a student at UC Berkeley, and had fast approaching deadline on big term project, which required a lot of collating and binding. I needed a lot of help from the staff and they were more than willing to assist me. The owner of this business attempted to charge me once for services not provided and another time apply extra charges which he said were "new for today"!!! Then I talked to a friend who lives within the same neighborhood as me and she said she went through the same problems and had to go to a different copy shop. I told the owner this is no way to treat customers but he just said it's his business and he can do what he wants. It was absolutely a horrible experience, he actually insisted I pay the charges saying as the owner he can set any rules he wants and it's a free country. I went into to print out from a flash stick. I asked how much it was per page. I was told ten cents per page. I was shown to a computer, I plugged in my flash stick and started printing. The printer was incredibly slow. I finished printing my 43 pages and went up to the register. I was told the total was over $7.00. I repeated that he had just quoted me a price of ten cents a page. He said," Oh but there is the cost of being on the computer." Now I have been in other shops where printing out from a flash stick is very fast and is charged simply by the page. You are not doing anything on the computer except pushing the PRINT button. In this day and age when business is bad and where there are a lot of choices of where to go, I think misleading people as to the price of services is a bad business decision. Disappointing customers is not a good thing. Having customers feel like they were mislead is even worse. read more

The woman behind the counter seemed busy and a little stressed but she was friendly, got my job done quickly and charged cheaper than the other places I called. This is a review I should have written long ago. I've used Copy Plus for almost 20 years, for more than one business. They are outstanding. Always meet their commitments, with high production quality. I don't use them to make copies, but to run professional print jobs for business cards, brochures, folders, inserts etc. One time we spotted a tiny error that we didn't catch in the proof and they re-ran the print job at no extra charge to us. I would NEVER use this place!!! I called last night to ask if they had the capability of printing a rush project if I sent it electronically. I very specifically told the owner/manager that I would be sending it using Pages software. He confirmed that they used this software and this would not be a problem. I further discussed the project and the timeline and he assured me this would not be a problem. At the end of our conversation, I repeated that I would be sending this in Pages software and he assured me they could process that. I received a call this morning from the person that handles electronic orders. She told me they do not use Pages and could not process my request. This has caused several people HOURS of extra work that we did not have time to do. I checked with him prior to determining how I would send the files so that they would be compatible. The person I spoke to this morning said "I'm sorry, he's old and he just doesn't understand this stuff"......pathetic! I work at a school and have regular copying needs.
