Getting documents notarized with a young kid is rough but what can you do when the kids if part of the reason a document needs to be notarized? When I raised my voice in frustration, the driver informed me that his supervisor, Brandon, was listening in on the phone but would not allow me to speak to him directly. This lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic customer care is absolutely unacceptable. To make matters worse, as the driver walked away, I heard exactly what he called me under his breath. He may not have realized how well I hear, but it only confirmed the complete lack of respect and professionalism in this delivery. He then told me to send the documents to another email address so they could print them for me. They ship FedX, so I was tracking online, yesterday it stated that my item was out on a truck for delivery from San Leandro at 8:05 AM. For those of you *bay-areans* you know that is a scant 17 miles from Dublin. When nothing arrived at 9:00 PM, and the FedX truck had left my street I called the 800 number. The customer care person expressed concern, and we put a trace on this package. After that, it all fell apart. I received a call this AM saying there had been a *security* problem in San Leandro, and my package was not available. WTF?? I asked to escalate the issue, and waited for a manager who told me there was nothing they could do, it had been stolen. OK....why was I not told that in the first place? I have since had a myriad of apologies, but obviously no package. I understand this is not unusual....my issue is that the communication and service from the FedX people was not forthright. Protecting themselves? Maybe, but I will never consciously use them again. Now to work on the refund...I am sure that is going to just as easy as this has been.
