We are buying a 21' rec van. At the moment we have access to a long driveway, but if that changes is it difficult to get a space to park it?

Hello Margy S! Thank you for your inquiry, and we welcome you to our facility for parking of your recreational vehicle. Our year-round gate hours are 6 am - 9 pm daily. We offer a flush and fill station to refresh your vehicle as well. Feel free…

I needed help with a move from a third-floor unit without elevators in the peninsula to a complex…read morein a bustling intersection in the city on pretty short notice. Booking: I sent an inquiry directly with the company due to their stellar reviews, and they were able to schedule me in for my preferred time/day. The overall process was really convenient, especially because of their flexible time window. Moving: the two movers, Herman and Aleksei, were incredibly efficient and very sweet/patient throughout the move. I appreciate that they handled both my expensive & economical items delicately. Also, I wasn't completely prepared on my end with the move such as knowing details like where to park for loading/unloading or even which items to move vs discard, which I had been dreading for weeks. However, thanks to their expertise and versatility, the move was stress-free. And a huge shoutout to Herman for his guidance and coordination that really ensured a seamless experience. Overall, this company lives up to its 5-star rating, and I highly recommend Herman & Aleksei if they are available!

Paid a little over 2.5k to move a 630 sq ft 1b/1b 3 miles and had 3, and eventually 4 movers. Overall I'd say it was good, not great When I scheduled I explained I had two walkins with lots of clothes - they assigned me three people when I likely needed more as I had a walkup. We ended up totally missing the window for the move which is more my fault but I had asked the people who confirmed if they felt it was reasonable. They helped move the hanging items (which I expect) and had me pitch in to pack the glass despite having asked for them to send someone to do this. It's not an issue but I do think there was a general lack of communication bw the movers and the ppl who helped book that made the day less efficient than it could have been. I'm happy to pack those things as it gave me an outlet for my moving anxiety and saves me time ofc but even without packing glass it still took 9 hours When I realized we were pretty behind it was very easy to get someone else last minute at noon, so that was helpful and everyone coordinated quickly to make it happen. All the guys were also very respectful and carefully wrapped my furniture (table, 4 chairs, coffee and side table, large tv, bed and heavy lifting frame, chair desk and small wine fridge). I think I have a lot crammed in to a 1B and was overall a good experience, though not quite as smooth or efficient as my previous SF moves Pros: Crew is friendly Didn't break anything, including my fancy stemware Cleaned up after themselves removing wrap and paper Very efficient by helping me add an extra mover at a reasonable cost ($50hr) Cons: Timing ended up being totally off :( not their fault completely but I tried to communicate several times during booking I had a small elevator window and a lot of stuff Pretty pricey for a 1 bed 3 mile move

Huge move from San Jose, CA to Daytona Beach, Fl. Coast to coast…read more I feel I dodged a bullet with many moving brokers trying to secure a contract through a hard sell and promise of *literally* unbelievable rate quotes. Doing further research I found there's a common and growing scam to quote low, then hold your stuff hostage until you pay surprise extra and extreme charges. Anyway, I went with U-Pack after researching the various container drop-off and load options. Contract terms were straightforward and no surprises on drop off. Both the start and end, U-Pack and their shipment team were super easy going with the schedule. Just call a day before drop-off/pick-up and they were able to make it happen. I had 3 cubes and two went to destination and the 3rd was stored by U-pack for a bit while I secured a longer term storage unit, and they dropped it off there. Make no mistake, packing and loading the cubes is a huge freakin' task. Do it in layers with large flat items working as "walls" to help hold stuff in. And ratchet strap each layer. A special call out to JW, the forklift operator in San Jose! He was one with that machine and able to maneuver with extreme skill and precision, including a very narrow and long driveway with tight gate and cypress tree. He's a magic man and was able to place the cubes perfectly between sidewalk and street and back yard driveway - saving me $ and headache dealing with the San Jose tax assessor regarding a permit if cubes block street parking and/or sidewalk. Other thanks to Skee (Ski?) at the drop in Florida. Also skilled w/ the lift and super accommodating on placing the cubes where I wanted. Finally, Gerry (Jerry?) and Lorenzo at dispatch. You'll be given a pretty huge window (like the whole day) for drop-off/pickup, but I'd give a call and they'd be able to narrow that window to a couple hours.

Recently, I scheduled another move but changed plans, and I forgot to cancel until a week before the move date. Though you have to call to cancel, it's all automated and very quick, and I'm very grateful that there was no fee. If I realized a day later, the fee would have been a fairly reasonable $50.

When I was deciding on a moving pod service to use, I was initially hesitant to choose U-pack…read morebecause of overwhelmingly negative reviews I've seen on Trustpilot. Since U-Pack was the most economical choice out of other options I explored, I decided to take a chance. I'm happy to say I made the right choice. The process of setting up a time and place to drop off my container was very easy. The requirements for the drop-off were clearly explained. However, I wish it was possible to automatically receive a location-specific assessment of whether or not a parking permit for the container was needed and, if so, a link to the location's website for applying for a parking permit. Even better would be if U-Pack could, for a fee, apply for the permit on my behalf. On delivery day and pickup day, the driver who dropped off my container was very courteous. I was easily able to track the status of my container's delivery and arrange for a dropoff of the container at my new location. One suggestion I would have for the dropoff process is allowing for choosing a time for the truck to arrive. I had an incident with a neighbor at my new location where the truck carrying the container was blocking their driveway. He was worried about being able to leave for work on time, although the truck driver had quickly finished his business and left the neighborhood. I would like to be able to schedule the dropoff for after the neighbor had left for work to avoid incidents like this. Overall, I had a positive experience with U-Pack and would definitely consider them again for my next move in the future.
