Allen is always so attentive and welcoming and helps me figure out the best price for whatever package I'm sending out, whether its a huge care package or an envelope of documents. I am that girl ( i admit) that never has stamps or boxes, or any mailing supplies for that matter, so knowing i can come here and Allen will take care of everything, is such a relief! Came in to drop off a small white document box full of paper to shred. The cost was a $1 a pound. The guy charged me $25 saying it was 26 lbs and gave me a $1.00 discount. There was no way it was 25 lbs. I asked him again and he said yes. It was at the most 5lbs to 6 lbs. So he took me for $20 which is not a discount. I did not want to get in argument so I just paid and now letting the world know not to do business there. It is hard for me to believe this is honest mistake when u weigh a box. read more

Allen is excellent! I've never experienced such great customer service @ a mailbox center and will only go to him from now on whenever I need to send packages. I had a unique situation in that I needed to send a gift to Tanzania on behalf of a family member. I wasn't sure what would be required to send something to Africa and needed to make sure it got there safely. Allen was very thorough in walking me through the process and made sure he answered all of my questions. He even sent me pictures of what the items looked like after he had prepared them for shipment so I knew they were securely packaged. I was there for almost an hour and during that time, he had regular customers coming and going. Allen knew all of them by name and vice versa- a very small town feel which I found very refreshing. When I found Mail Box Planet on Yelp a few years ago, I realized later it actually opened at the same time I opened my PO Box. I could've saved myself 12 years of frustration if I'd gone straight to Mail Box Planet instead. Thankfully I've had a few years now of appreciating Allen's customer service and reliability. He knows all of his customers personally and really takes care of us, like calling to let you know you got a package even if it fits in your box. His service is invaluable when I'm traveling. I don't have to impose on anyone to get my mail for me, and can ship stuff home knowing it'll be safe and climate controlled until my return. Occasionally I have to get my friend's mail from his mailbox place across town when he's traveling, and the experience is like night and day from Allen. I really think my friend should switch even though he lives in Santa Monica! Sometimes I'm skeptical of places on Yelp with great reviews because they don't live up to the hype, but Allen has truly earned all his adoring customers. Allen is the best. I use Mailbox Planet for my mailing address because I work out of my house and don't want to put my home address on my business card/website. Mailbox Planet gives me a real street address, so people think I have an office. It is 5 minutes from my house (if I walk it is 15). Alan has never failed to call me when a package or FedEx arrives. If I'm going to be out of town I send all my online purchases here so they don't sit on my doorstep. The price is reasonable; he gave me a discount on my first year.
