I was lucky to discover JP Paper Shredders in Azusa. I needed to shred about 40 lbs of documents from home containing sensitive information. Donna was quick to respond and is such a genuinely lovely person. She is environmentally conscious. After shredding, they bind the scraps into large bales which are then shipped to a factory where they produce recycled toilet paper. Paper contains cotton fibers and not trees! Thanks for sharing the knowledge with me Donna! Also, the efficient staff at JP will shred the documents before you leave the warehouse, to provide peace of mind regarding your privacy. Donna will then provide you with a certificate attesting to the shredding. Will definitely use them again for my future paper shredding needs. Reasonably priced, trustworthy, and great customer care! read more

A friend recommended this place years ago, and I was SO slow to gather all of my old documents and get them shredded. Even though they are now a bit farther than I expected, it was worth driving a few extra miles to work with this company. Donna was very professional, and the process for this family-owned business is more efficient than I anticipated. You watch your papers being shredded, and they offer a certificate upon completion. I never thought I'd be so enthusiastic about paper shredders, but JP Paper Shredders is the best ever! Donna is so so friendly and helpful! My father had years worth of documents to shred, and he wanted to watch the shredding to make sure all his information remained secure and confidential. JP was the only place I found where you can watch the shredding. It was a great experience. The very nice man showed me where to park, then unloaded many heavy boxes from the car for me - 160 lbs of paper. You can watch as your documents are shredded, and you know all your information is safely destroyed -- in just a few minutes. On top of that, the price was fantastic, and the best price around. It was only $40 for 160 lbs of paper. The whole process was quick and efficient, and even fun. It was a huge burden lifted! THANK YOU! read more

I went here to recycle an SUV-full of boxes of paper. At first, I had to wait a while for any service. The man working the forklift took his time with moving things before paying me any attention. However, he was kind and helped me unload my SUV when he did come around to it. However, the woman who manages the place is a condescending, judgmental person - VERY RUDE and unpleasant to deal with, and obviously a greedy money-grubber. It wasn't until everything was unloaded that she looked into my boxes and deemed all the paper as "confidential", asking me to pay $125 to shred them. I had also called right before getting there, telling them I was bringing in boxes of nonconfidential paper to recycle, and yet she still insisted after we got them unloaded to charge me extra. My boxes contained over-a-decade-old decommissioned real estate reports - the addresses are all public knowledge that you can find on Google Maps and the phone numbers were of the company I work for, which had no problems getting rid of these files. The old lady insisted they were confidential and proceeded to rudely take out paper from my boxes and show ME what I had in them. Being the person throwing them away, I KNOW what kind of information is in my boxes. But she continued to point out phone numbers and address OF THE COMPANY I WORK FOR and tell me that the people that numbers/address belonged to would not be happy with me throwing their information out, which is utterly ridiculous. In retrospect, I should have had her call one of the numbers and embarrass herself. She kept angrily bringing up the possibility of going to jail for wanting to recycle these papers and said condescending things like, "Pshh, I'm glad that I don't have anything in there!" I reminded her that these were MY boxes that did NOT contain any of her things, but she continued to insist I could go to jail and that she's happy to not have anything in my boxes. Who does she think she is to pass judgement on my trash?? She shreds papers for a living. Not run her mouth like a law-enforcing recycling drama queen. I was done there and told them, "Alright, let's throw it back in my SUV!" The lady kept saying how I'm trying to break the law and that I can go to jail - as if I was a convicted criminal already. The issue was settled, but she was still nagging, judging me as if my lack of business with her made me a bad person. To top it all off, they did not help me load up my SUV, even though they were perfectly content unloading it 10 minutes before. I had to stuff the boxes back into my car with her standing there in the warehouse, angrily talking behind my back with the man and staring at me. There are lots of other recycling places in the the San Gabriel Valley. If you value nonjudgemental, kind service, AVOID JP PAPER SHREDDING and to elsewhere. read more

Highly Recommend! If you have piles of important documents that need to be properly shredded, this is the place for you! I find myself going every 2-3 years. Their shredding method is not confetti cut but I'm happy to have the job done quickly and while I watch. The shredded paper is then sent to be re-purposed as dry-wall, not sent to a landfill. Call for pricing and same day appointments. They charge by weight. I found it super affordable. read more

Really nice folks and very efficient. We were in and out in about 5 minutes. Saved me so much sitting at my little paper shredder dealing with 15+ year old financial documents that I came across while moving recently. If you got tons of stuff to shred and not a lot of time to deal with on your own, this is the place. read more

I just utilized their shredding service, and I am so happy that we went to this establishment. The first younger gentleman I encountered was busy, assisting other people with their recycling, but still gave us a friendly greeting, and made sure to find another employee to assist us immediately. The other gentleman who helped us, Jose, was so friendly, and answered all of my son's questions about how the process works to shred the paper, and was incredibly patient with us. We absolutely will be returning for any future services needed! read more

We had an event last night featuring JP Paper & Recycling's Shred truck and it was fantastic. Donna and Darrell were both friendly, clear, professional, and easy to work with, from start to finish. A few good notes: -Customer service was definitely an A+. I always got my call answered or immediately returned when calling their office. -Services were very affordable. -Donna and Darrell were both very knowledgeable and patient, and answered all of our questions. -It's important to us that the truck is not late for these events because we have clients waiting to get started on their shredding. Darrell contacted us ahead of time to confirm, and showed up early, ready to go. We are totally satisfied with their service and look forward to seeing them next year. read more
