I work for a small family owned company. We had 30 boxes to shred. I had no idea who to contact. Iron Mountain was contacted first. I was quoted $200.00 to drop off (3) large bins. The large bins would arrive 2 weeks after my initial contact. Once the bins were dropped off the bins would be picked up a week after. Long story short the whole process would take 3 weeks. Not Good!! My boss just wanted these boxes gone asap. The owner of the company also mention he wanted to hire a company that would shred our customer's files on site not at another location. My next step was to GOOGLE a local Orange County company that would shred our customer's files on site. That is how I found SoCal Shred. The appointment was set for 1 week later from my initial contact. The price was only $140.00 to shred all the files on site!! I saved my company $60.00!! My boss was super happy!! Our company had a little over 80 boxes to shred and using Socal shred was great. Prices are very reasonable and the job is done quickly. From the first call to the truck arrival SoCal Shred's customer service was fantastic and friendly. They have a large truck that they bring so make sure your business has enough room for it to park. They arrived a few hours earlier than our initial appointment time, but they made sure to call ahead of time to inform us that they would be there early. I was sent to help close out an office that had accumulated 24 years of "stuff". Literally tons and tons of paperwork & files. I called around for a mobile shred truck and received three price quotes. I spoke with Neil Davis at SoCal Shred and his price was quite a bit less than the others, so I went with him. Not only that, but he was able to send someone out right away while the others wanted to schedule something in future weeks. We needed help right away. When SoCal Shred's truck arrived, the service man was extremely pleasant and hard working. There were four of us that helped, but the guy from SoCal Shred was truly a beast! He did as much work as the four of us combined: loading bins full of paperwork, cancelled checks, binders full of reports, etc. We shredded almost 10,000 lbs. of paper that afternoon. I was completely satisfied and very impressed with them. Funny thing: in the next two days after the work was done, both of the other shredding companies called me back and offered a slightly lower price to get the work. They honored the quote given over the phone, showed up at my door within minutes (no joke, they happened to have been in my neighborhood when I sent a spur of the moment email to Neil), the process was done right in front of me (which was comforting) and now I'm no longer opening a closet looking at hefty bags filled with papers which I was contemplating and not getting around to shredding myself.
