After 15 years with Shred Wise things went drastically bad. We were charged for a shredding that didn't occur on a holiday and the owner said we were lying. Next the owner charged us more then we were told for invoices that were already paid but claimed the payment was for back due invoices we hadn't paid. We had no clue this even happened as we never received payment reminders. When we provided proof of payment the owner claimed using chaos and confusion that the late invoices were from years prior. I spent hours providing documents to prove we had paid and asked for proof on their end. Their proof was a report that would have taken me even more hours to go through line by line. Trying to be professional I let it go and said just keep the money we didn't owe but paid and let's end the business relationship. As a parting shot Shred Wise gave us a shredding invoice for an empty can when they were removing it. read more

I only give 5 star reviews for those who FAR EXCEED expectations. For me, 4 stars is a great testament to great service. ShredWise is that company that goes well above what would make me a very happy customer. This family-owned business has implemented a modern process while maintaining solid client communications and care. I think I had the pleasure of speaking to only family members for my most recent experience. Let me explain the kind of care I received from these incredible people. Recently, I relocated to Idaho from Yorba Linda, CA. While packing up and towards the end of the process, I found I had collected a number of boxes I needed to have shredded. I didn't have any time to wait as I was leaving the state in a matter of a couple of days. Things were urgent and I was not going to move this trash with me, it had to go. I called ShredWise and Sherry answered the phone as she did the first time I used their services months prior. To her great credit, she listened intently to my sob story (I can be incredibly verbose; see this post as an example). It becomes immediately clear that Sherry was concerned for me, as if she was a member of my family, and asked to call me back in a few minutes. She called back within 3 minutes and informed me that if I was okay with it, she could have my documents picked up, but she was unable to send a truck onsite for in-person shredding. I really couldn't believe she was willing to do this for me. Later that day, yes the same day, her son dropped by my empty house and picked up my boxes. He was a great guy and equally service-oriented. But there's one more part to tell. Since I had already changed my address from CA to ID, the Zip Code on my credit card seemed to be causing them issues to charge me for their great service. I felt terrible. But Gary called me up and we worked it out over the phone. He was great to talk to and took care of the situation I had created with kindness and care. Long story short, if you are anywhere in Southern California where ShredWise services, you'd be sort of foolish to use anyone else. If it was economical, I would ship all of my future shred boxes from Idaho to them moving forward. The single negative aspect of this experience is that Sherry and Gary are not in charge of operations of all of my favorite fast food joints, retail stores and government agencies. Had they been, the world would tick along without a hitch, it would be more human and family oriented, and the world would be a much better place. We need more Sherry and Gary teams in the world. Spoke to Gary and he was so rude. They gave me a window of 9am to 1 pm and said they would call prior and did not call until they were out in front of my office. Within a span of about 5 minutes, Gary called and yelled that we had a standing appointment. I told him I had just left so whomever was there had not been there for more than 5 minutes and I did not get a call ahead of time. When I told him I didn't want to argue about it, he said "forget it" I don't need to deal with this. I haven't given a business 5 stars in years, but in the case of Shred Wise, it is warranted! I had 5 Hefty bags full of old receipts and personal papers I needed to get shredded. A Google search yielded a number of places in the nearby Anaheim Hills area. However, most of these places were in UPS or similar stores, where you had to deliver the bags to them. They weighed your bags, and you pay onsite. A third-party shredding company would come later, pick up the items and shred them offsite. I did not feel comfortable not being able to see my stuff shredded. In contrast, Shred Wise made it so convenient and safe. They made an appointment to come directly to my townhouse. Danny showed up right on time. He loaded my 5 bags into a bin (similar to a trash bin). Then he carted the bin to the truck. I was able to watch via a camera my stuff being loaded and shredded. From the time he arrived to the time he completed the job took only 10 minutes! I ended up paying $90 for the service. Convenient. Punctual. Secure. Affordable. What more can you ask for?!
