Update: the company finally came to pick up the bin. I asked the driver for a certificate of destruction and was told it would be sent along with the invoice. I received the invoice and no certificate. So I called the company , got Rosemary again, to request one and was told they do not provide one!!!! I pointed out the driver, employee Karen and their website said they provided one. Then Rosemary said she'll get one but doesn't know when. Stay clear away from this company. Our business has been using this company for some time now and have been needing their services more than usual lately because our company is moving. Do not bother with them. Whatever girls answer their phone calls are atrociously rude and act like talking to their customers is a chore. They don't work with their clients, act like their clients owe them something other than payment of services, and overall leave an awful taste in your mouth. We have switched companies and suggest to start clear from this one. Maybe invest in customer service training for the girls that answer the phones. read more

I usually don't write reviews but had to write this. Spoke with AnnMarie today and asked for ACH withdrawal monthly and her response was for me to initiate it. After letting her know I usually have the vendor do it and request the info they need including a voided check, she responded with a strong tone that I needed to do it and that they are really busy. She was rude and not accommodating at all. The staff there does not respond very well when they are asked to do something or look into something. All vendors should have access to do a ACH withdrawal. read more

What a FANTASTIC experience!! We are moving and had years' worth of papers and documents to shred. The Paper Depot was so easy to work with, and very professional. Even during COVID, all I had to do was park my vehicle and a gentleman came out with a bin and helped me transfer hundreds of pounds of paper to be shredded. I had the option of going back with him to watch my items get weighed and gobbled up by the shredder, then simply paid the per pound price. Done and done. 6/22/2017: I brought in my annual 40 pounds of documents to shred. The pricing has changed since my last visit in 2015 and they now accept credit cards! YAY! They not only provided me with a written receipt but an electronic receipt sent immediately to my email as well! 0-30 lbs costs just $10 31-60 lbs is $20 It's a great service and I love watching my documents shredded before my very eyes! Although they are several miles from my home, it is well worth the annual trip vs purchasing expensive shredders that jam and fall apart after the first day of use. This is the only company I can find in the OC that offers such a walk-up service to the general public. I do not trust dropping off my documents at places such as Office Max or Staples to sit in a bin for later shredding. My 40 lbs of paper filled up their trashcan about 3/4 of the way, just to give you a visual example. Thanks again, Paper Depot! 2/2015: I brought 45 pounds of documents to Paper Depot today. The woman at the desk called for a gentleman to come take everything out of my truck bed. He dumped everything into a trashcan, weighed it and then shredded my can full of documents right in front of me. It's an automated system that is attached to their truck and you watch as the trash can is lifted up and then watch your docs get shredded on the video feed on the truck. Very fascinating! CASH ONLY! You get up to 200 lbs for just $40!! Or, $20 for the first box and $10 for the second box (if you are under 100 lbs), It's a super deal and I was in and out of there in 10 minutes. read more

Not worth driving there to have anything shredded. We did not want to "leave" our stuff at Staples etc. and this place said we could stand there and watch it be shredded at $10 per bankers box. They then proceeded to take our box away from us - take it out of our sight for five minutes - put it in a generic trash can (we assume) and tell us to watch generic stuff being shredded. Avoid this place like the plague! I had approximately 72 storage boxes and 60 banker's boxes in a storage facility. The scheduler said they needed to send out their 24 foot truck for that big of an order. I arranged to meet them on a Monday morning at 8:15. The man showed up with a small Chevy van. When I called and spoke to the girl I scheduled the pick up with, she said she never told me they would send the 24 foot truck and basically called me a liar! These folks offer no customer service! Whoever is in charge of the phone is the rudest and most offensive human being. I called about 10 minutes ago to place an order for our bins to be emptied and the tone of her voice was extremely rude. I was trying to explain what services we needed and the woman on the other end of the line she kept cutting me off and talking to me like if I were an idiot that didn't know what services we needed. Highly recommend. Recently did a major filing purge and needed a reasonable way to get everything shredded. Got quotes from some other places but almost everywhere was at least 3 times the cost. I appreciated being able to see that the documents got destroyed while I was there and that confidential info was not sitting around anywhere or subject to too many eyes. They were available for me to bring the stuff up any time before 3pm, dumped it from my boxes into one of there bins (which the truck picks up and pulls the papers out of, so no one else actually ever touched the papers), the guy pushed it to the truck, the truck lifted and shredded the papers, I got a ticket with the number of pounds shredded and went inside to pay my very reasonable bill, that was the amount I expected :). Apparently they can pick up at a business but not a residence. Location was easy to find Contrary to one of the pictures in the review, I found no papers on the ground. read more

Great place!! You can drop off and watch as the put your documents into the grinding machine that eats up your paper and spits it out. Most places you drop off to you don't even know when it is done or not. read more

Horrible experience using these guys... The lady who answered the phone was rude didn't know what she was talking about it seemed like, she answered most of the ?s I had for her with "I'm not sure"... they were scheduled to come out on Tuesday the 10th I had even called them early that morning as they told me to do and make sure were on schedule so I did that and she said yes we will be by later today Long story short no call no show... Not even a call back next morning we had to call and she was rude again and the manager didn't care either she well sir it just goes back on the schedule for a later time .... As a business I highly recommend finding an alternative company. Do not let their prices fool you. I work for a very large international PVC company and test ran their services at our CA location for cardboard recycling. The CUSTOMER SERVICE, if that's what you can call it, was horrific. It took my 3 months after our last service to get my questions answered about where our check was. She was the rudest woman I have ever spoke with at a business. Their BILLING department is a joke. We were due for a check in August and it took me til November to get an answer from someone and it wasn't until then that they issued the check. I doubt that it would ever have been done if I had not inquired. AWFUL service. read more

We have used this company for a couple of years. Initially we had a large one-time shredding and recycling need. They were awesome for this service. We set-up a monthly shredding service and recycle disposal. All went smoothly until about six months ago. They indicated our volume was too little and didn't really warrant them sending their shredding trucks out to our location. We were told if we set up a shredded account and paid a fee than it would be worth their time. We did as they asked and paid a fee....service continued to be sub par as now they send the mobile shredder but do not pick up the recycle containers. When calling to see if someone was coming out we have been told the last four working days we are on their schedule for the day. Still nobody shows. I called last night and the lady (Theresa?) was rude, condescending, and very passive/aggressive. I asked them to terminate our services and pick up their containers. 11:35 today and had to call again to make sure they are coming. This lady was very friendly and nice. Hopefully they come soon. read more
