My experience at this PostalAnnex was terrible. Jinesh was rude from the start and did not want to help me lift or move my package onto the scale. I had a prepaid return package, but he still tried to charge me $10 just to send it out. That makes no sense for a prepaid return. He came across as unwilling to do the work and looking for extra ways to charge customers. I ended up going to another PostalAnnex in Glendora, where the person working there was kind, helpful, and surprised that the location at 1171 E Alosta Ave, Azusa, CA 91702 tried to charge me extra for a prepaid return. This kind of service makes PostalAnnex and FedEx look bad. I would not recommend this location. If I could give negative stars, I would. read more

I've had a paid mailbox here since 2020 (it's now almost mid-2026), which means I've had a lot of interactions with the folks working here over the last 6 or so years. When I first got my mailbox in 2020, the hours were very good with them being open the majority of the day during the week, even during COVID, and they were open both on Saturdays and Sundays. I really don't like writing negative reviews about places, because some people/places have off days (just like everyone does), but this is not just one day with them.... it's EVERY SINGLE DAY. Here is a list of items I have put together for your reading pleasure, and for the record, I will NOT be renewing. 1. Hours are basically whenever they feel like being open (especially on weekends). Sometimes there's a sign on the door during regular business hours that they're on break and the door is locked. (See the attached photo.) Their hours are now 9am-6pm during the week and Saturdays 9am-4pm when they used to be open earlier in the morning, later in the evening, and on Sundays. Oh and if they go on "vacation", they close for an ENTIRE WEEK and write an email to everyone two days before that our mail and packages will be held until they return. There is NO way to access the mailbox or receive packages during the time they're closed. Remember, I pay a monthly fee to have mail received here... 2. They are no longer open on Sundays like they used to be a couple of years back which means I have only Saturdays to check my mail. Since I work 9am-6pm during the week, I usually can only get to my mailbox on Saturdays. Sometimes they take the weekend off and close without saying anything. And guess what happens when they close on the weekend unexpectedly... I CAN'T GET MY MAIL FOR THAT WEEK. 3. They charge for literally EVERYTHING. Debit card fees and transaction fees. They used to accept packages up to 50 pounds. Then it was lowered to 30 pound. However, is your box heavier than 30 pounds? There's a "handling" fee. Need a piece of tape? Fee. Need one copy of something? Fee. I'm surprised I'm not charged for breathing the air in the building. 4. I pay for a mailbox for a reason. I want to be able to receive packages that are secured and held for a few days until I have some time to pick them up (which is usually on Saturdays). Well, if you leave your package for 3 days or more, there's a fee for that. Do you only have your debit card with you to pay the fee? Sorry, there's a fee for that. See Item 3 above. They were closed on the preceding Saturday? Sorry, there's still a storage fee. I was literally going to be charged a fee for ONE flat 9x11 envelope when I came 5 days later to pick it up after it was received. A FEE FOR AN ENVELOPE!!! 5. The ONLY good thing... and I mean *ONLY* good thing is that I get a text message and email whenever I receive mail into my box. That way I don't have to guess when mail is there. But again, if I leave a package there more than three days (even if I'm out of town for longer than that), there's a fee. And if they're closed for the weekend, I have no way to access said mail. The TL;DR version is that you should avoid renting a mailbox here. You pay a fee to not have access to your mailbox outside business hours and when they close randomly. Also be prepare to pay a fee for basically everything. read more

This place is ridiculous! I came in to get some photocopies and asked how much it was per page. She never replied. Just asked me what I needed copies of. I gave her the items needed and it was over six dollars for seven pieces of papers to be copied when I asked her if I could throw away unneeded notes, she told me oh that is closed, we can shred it for you but for shredding there is a charge! Looks like they're trying to make a buck anywhere they can. Their personal items for sale in here is such as children's toys and CD jewel cases! Obvious sign that this location is struggling. With it being over 100° outside, It's prolly about 98 degrees inside-They obviously don't turn on the AC to make their customers comfortable. I was the only person in there, there are no customers to be seen whatsoever. No one getting their mail or anything else. I will go somewhere else for copies or any sort of mail service needed! Well, the gentleman who helped me was friendly and when I balked at the pricing for the live scan he assured me that it was a normal competitive rate, and I believed him. When I left I found out that others in the local area were charging something similar to half or less of what he ended up charging me for the rolling fee. I sent an email to try to fix the situation and ask for a partial refund since the pricing had been misrepresented and was effectively dismissed. I would not recommend coming here unless you absolutely have to and I also recommend that you double check any pricing on your own and definitely do not take the advice of anyone helping you in the store. read more

I called this DHL service point beforehand to confirm the pickup schedule and was assured DHL comes daily before 3:30 pm. Based on that information, I dropped off my package Wednesday morning. When I checked the tracking on Friday, it still hadn't moved. They then told me it wouldn't be picked up until Monday. I came into the Postal Annex in Azusa last week for a Live Scan and it was my first time ever needing one. I needed it for my daughter's end of the year field trip and honestly wasn't quite sure what the process was or what paperwork was required. Jinesh was extremely informative and took the time to break everything down for me. He explained that I needed the proper Live Scan request form from the school district before the fingerprinting could be completed. Instead of rushing me through or giving unclear instructions, he made sure I understood exactly what was needed and told me to come back once I had the correct paperwork. I returned this morning with everything in order and was assisted by Arsh. She was very sweet and upfront about being new and still in training. I let her know I was patient and in no rush at all. She took her time, made sure everything was done properly, and even had someone assisting her over the phone until Jinesh arrived and stepped in to help finish up. The entire process was smooth and only took about 10 to 15 minutes since I arrived early and it wasn't busy. I really appreciated how welcoming and helpful everyone was. They didn't make me feel rushed or confused at any point. For something that could feel intimidating the first time, they made it easy and stress free. They also offer a wide range of services including mailing, printing, faxing, PO boxes and more, which makes it a convenient one stop shop for a lot of needs. My first time coming here was last week on Monday or Tuesday. I've been here 2 other times since then. First day I walk in with 1 fedex package & 7 USPS packages. Jinesh (Business Owner) immediately tells me how many packages I have. Reluctantly he takes them. The very next day I come back with 1 fedex package & about 8 USPS packages. He tells me he can't take the USPS packages because "driver won't take them" I leave very frustrated. Today I go back in with 3 fedex packages & he refuses to take them & says to take my business elsewhere. Ever since day 1 he's been rude & reluctant to take packages at a Postal Annex. I don't know what his problem is but I'm also calling FedEx and filing a complaint against this certified retailer. I will never step foot in this dump again. I came in, paid less than $25, got my photo taken (and even got to choose what photo I liked best!!!), had it printed and the process was complete! Was in and out in less than 10 minutes. The owner is extremely rude and sneaky, as he secretly added extra charges to my transaction. Fortunately, I checked the receipt details after paying today. I went to the store to drop off a package, knowing they don't provide free sealing services like other stores. So, I planned to purchase tape from them. There was a gentleman ahead of me being assisted by the owner. Seeing that I only needed to make a quick purchase, the owner asked the gentleman if he would be okay with letting me pay for the tape first. The gentleman kindly agreed, and I thanked him. I paid using Apple Pay with my credit card, but shortly after, I noticed two additional charges on my receipt besides the cost of the tape: a $2 service fee and a $1 transaction fee, both of which were taxed. I asked the owner why I was charged a service fee, and he claimed it was for "cutting the line." This was the first time I'd ever heard of such a fee. I explained that I never requested to cut the line and insisted that he refund the service fee. Initially, he refused, but I argued that he hadn't informed me about this fee beforehand, nor had he mentioned the transaction fee for using Apple Pay. After some back and forth, he finally agreed to refund the transaction but asked me to repay using a debit card, explaining that there would still be a transaction fee for debit card payments. I told him I only had my credit card linked to Apple Pay. He then insisted I pay with cash. I returned to my car and found a $100 bill--the only cash I had. When I handed him the $100, he said he would still charge me a $1 transaction fee because breaking a $100 bill was "inconvenient." I explained that I had no smaller bills. The tape cost is around $6, and in the end, he gave me $91.2in change. Yes, he even charged tax on the $1 transaction fee, which was completely absurd. After refusing pay for the service fee, he was very rude during the whole conversation afterwards. The photo is the amount he charged me at the beginning when I used Apple Pay. ( not sure if he really refund for this transaction. Still showing in pending status ). I only brought a tape $6. Renewal Reminder: Consistent with our policy, we sent out a renewal reminder 15 days before your due date, specifically on December 15, 2023, for the upcoming January 1, 2024, renewal. This was intended to provide ample time for renewal arrangements. JT: I received no such renewal reminder on December 15th. I checked my voicemail/text message/mail box/email and no such renewal reminder existed in any of those places. In fact, to add a little bit of insult to injury, Just yesterday (1/11/23) did they introduce the ability to renew your mailbox online! Amazing funcionality, why was it not introduced a month earlier when many of the renewals would be coming up, what's the value in introducing something 10 days after the new year, so I have 356 days to renew ahead of time? 2. Extended Grace Period: Recognizing January 1st as a holiday, we not only provided the standard 3-day grace period but extended it further to 5 days. This was to accommodate any potential delays during the holiday season. A reminder and an offer to waive the late fee, if the renewal was processed promptly, were communicated via a call to your Google Voice service on January 5, 2024. JT: That is inaccurate. I received a voicemail on January 4th from you asking for a call back. There was no such mention about a late fee waiver on this date, You must have made a call to another person on January 5th 3. Late Fee Policy: The original contract includes a provision for a late fee after the grace period. In appreciation of your continued business with us, we proactively reached out to offer a waiver of this fee, as mentioned in our voice message on January 5th. JT: Again, I still have the voicemails from you on the 4th and the 8th and in both messages, there were no such mentions of of a late fee waiver. As part of a franchise, we adhere to specific guidelines, including non-reversible system-generated charges. We strive to accommodate our loyal customers within these constraints. JT: While I understand this, I would have appreciated the heads up as part of the initial rental agreement. Your rental agreement should have the fees listed out so customers know what to expect ahead of time. They can be "subject to change". 5. I needed to return a package that was delivered to me for an order I canceled. I asked the employee to "return to sender." He acted as if I was bothering him and replied, "just leave it there. In this case we were dealing directly with manager Mr. Tinish understands concept of dotting your i's & crossing your t's. Excellent experiences at Postal Annex on a scale of 1 - 10 a ten hands down. I recently worked on a gift with Mr. Tinish with a picture of a lake taken on a clear day, sky line a rich blue, a very personal sentiment. We transferred picture on to a canvas. We worked together on this idea but what impressed me the most was how involved Mr. Tinish got involved as if he wanted the perfect gift to happen by making some suggestions. This store is great! They have always been so helpful and always so friendly. I want to post an incident that happened to me here last week. I was sending a package for Christmas, and there was a lady who had a german shepard dog with her, a beautiful dog, to whichI spoke to to tell the dog he or she was beautiful. The lady very rudely told me to NOT speak or touch her dog! I was surprised at how angry she was, and told her that I would never touch a strange dog, she was adamant that I spoke it, I said I was sorry, and left the store, happy to leave. the owner of the store asked the lady helping me to call and apologize to me.! that was so unnecessary, as I totally understood that some people are very protective of their dogs. I came here to get a document notarized -- anyway that's not the point. The point is that it doesn't matter what you need done, they got you. While waiting, I realized they do shipping, passport photos, copies, taxes, faxes, and probably time travel if you ask nicely enough. I have a box I've been meaning to send to family in Mexico (a small town where there isn't even a postal service) I'm sure Postal Annex can make it happen. I even noticed that the owner does Real Estate? Unless the ads on the TV monitor were just for show. ZERO STARS!! Bad service! I'm used to dealing with Sam at the Ups store in Covina. These people here are terrible, I have them another chance today and the gentleman (Janis?) wants to charge me a dollar for a piece of tape. Then more money for a sleeve to put the shipping label. Update: Oh geez...your personal attack was totally unnecessary and unprofessional. I went to a different place today and got exactly what I wanted for less than $1. See the results attached. Original review: I went in to get a PDF printed in 11x17 color. There was a problem with the sizing of the file and it couldn't be done. The lady helping me was really nice and tried her best. When I said I would come back tomorrow with the right file, she stopped me before leaving and said she still had to charge me for the copy even though I wasn't leaving with the product I came in for. I was shocked. Apparently, it's their policy to charge for printing regardless of whether you received the printed copy or not. I ended up asking for the mistake copy as to feel better about paying $2.31. When I saw that I couldn't even use the mistake copy, I complained about having to pay for it. She went to talk to her manager and long story short, I ended up paying $3.81 for a faded unimpressive 8.5x11 color copy. Basically, I paid more for an unusable version of what I originally came in for. read more

Horrible service and they will overcharge you fees! If you can avoid this place, please do. Because of Covid I haven't returned to the office in months and I finally found myself stuck at home without a printer. I just needed a single page printed out in black and white and it cost me $1.31. At any other place you can get a black and white printout for 25 cents. The first lady who helped me insisted I use a rental computer to print out my document. I handed over my usb drive and told her the title of the document, however she couldn't find it and told me if she continued to look for it she would charge me a service fee. All I needed to do was glance over at the computer and find the document to open it. Instead she directed me to the rental computer with a code to find the document myself. After less than two minutes of using the computer, I went to pay the fee for the printout. A second lady told me there's a charge for not only the page printed but the time I used the rental computer. HOW CAN YOU NOT MENTION THIS TO CUSTOMERS WHEN YOU INSIST THEY USE THE RENTAL COMPUTER?! Anyway I was pretty frustrated at this point and just paid the $1.31. However, she told me if the service is under $20 there would be a charge on my credit card so I handed over a $20 bill and 31 cents. She proceeded in doing the math on the receipt. It doesn't take a math genius to know that $20.31 - $1.31 is $19. However, this lady not only did the calculation on my receipt but then made me wait even longer to do the calculation again on her computer. I left in awe at how incredibly absurd this entire transaction was. I will 100% never return and gladly drive a further distance to avoid the service here. read more

If I could leave no stars, I would. I went to this location to pick up a package I had paid for, and the manager tall guy with black hair in the office was so rude. He had the worst customer service attitude. Because another mail carrier messed up on their job, he would not release my package to me. I had to call the police and contact the company for help. That was the only way I was able to receive my package. If it were up to the manager inside the building, he would not have given it to me. I'm very disappointed with the customer service I received from this company and will not be using them ever again.
