The building itself has a really charming, old-school feel to it. It's not modern or flashy, but in a good way. It genuinely feels like stepping into a little piece of the past, which I appreciated. They open at 8:30 a.m., and while there was a short wait and a line, that part was understandable given the holiday season and the fact that many transactions understandably take time. What really stood out was the young Latino gentleman with glasses working the counter. I didn't catch his name, but he was incredibly efficient, patient, and had a genuinely good attitude. As someone who doesn't regularly use the post office and needed to send certified mail, I definitely needed a bit of guidance, and he handled that smoothly. You could clearly tell the difference between customers who come in regularly and people like me who needed some direction, and he treated everyone with the same level of respect. He honestly deserves five stars on his own. That said, the overall experience lands at four stars for me. I was a bit surprised by the cost of certified mail, which came out to around $11, and I'm not sure if that's standard or holiday pricing. I also noticed he was on his phone calling the Covina main office, which made me wonder if he was trying to get backup. During the holiday rush, having only one worker feels like a lot to put on one person and can slow things down for customers. I'll absolutely be back since this is my local post office, and I'd happily update my review if staffing improves. Overall, it was a solid first experience, and that employee truly carried it with professionalism and a great attitude.

In 2006, I was fortunate to attend the dedication of the post office in honor of Captain Lillian L. Keil. She was a resident of the City and retired from the US Air Force as a Flight Nurse during World War II. She passed away in 2005, Congress passed a bill naming this post office in her memory. I vividly remember Congresswoman Hilda Solis initiating this request and Commander George Ogden from the West Covina Veterans Post speaking on Captain Keils' numerous awards and achievements. Salute to the military officials and troops who fight to keep our Country safe!! Note: The City has a second post office by City Hall, but it's a smaller satellite office. They do not have residential home delivery service. All mail at 5pm is taken to this location on Rimsdale Avenue. A large semi truck arrives at 6pm and takes ALL outgoing mail from the City to the hub in the City of Industry. That is the logistics of sending and receiving mail in this city. We are able to use the self-service machine to buy postal and mail small packages, letters and bills (*:*). Good and efficient service, you can depend on them to assist you every day. I needed it for my daughter's end of the year field trip and honestly wasn't quite sure what the process was or what paperwork was required. Jinesh was extremely informative and took the time to break everything down for me. He explained that I needed the proper Live Scan request form from the school district before the fingerprinting could be completed. Instead of rushing me through or giving unclear instructions, he made sure I understood exactly what was needed and told me to come back once I had the correct paperwork. I returned this morning with everything in order and was assisted by Arsh. She was very sweet and upfront about being new and still in training. I let her know I was patient and in no rush at all. She took her time, made sure everything was done properly, and even had someone assisting her over the phone until Jinesh arrived and stepped in to help finish up. The entire process was smooth and only took about 10 to 15 minutes since I arrived early and it wasn't busy. I really appreciated how welcoming and helpful everyone was. They didn't make me feel rushed or confused at any point. For something that could feel intimidating the first time, they made it easy and stress free. They also offer a wide range of services including mailing, printing, faxing, PO boxes and more, which makes it a convenient one stop shop for a lot of needs. Overall I felt genuinely helped and taken care of. I would absolutely recommend this Postal Annex location and will continue coming here for future services.

Other than the tiny parking lot, it looks like there is plenty of street parking, but just read the signs for the street sweeping days. LOCATION: The post office is located east of Irwindale Ave and on the north side of Calle del Norte. Irwindale Park is on the south side. I arrived just before 10:30AM and there was one spot open in the small parking lot (WOOHOO!). As soon as I walked in there was NOBODY there! Two ladies were eager to assist me and answered all my questions. I was literally out the door within 2 minutes. That was by far the greatest experience I've ever had at any USPS office. Note that they are open from 10AM to 4:00PM and they just close between 2:00-2:30PM for their lunch break. 116/100 Reviews for 2016

I had a mixed experience at this location. I came in to get passport photos and the first set they…read moreprinted had red and green lines on them. The second set came out overexposed. When I pointed it out, an associate named Jeremy told me that overexposed photos are usually accepted by passport services and that they are just college students so there was nothing they could do. For something I will use for the next ten years, I expected a proper and non overexposed photo, especially since I was paying for it. His attitude felt very dismissive and unprofessional. I told him that I would share my experience in a review and asked for his name. He then said that I was threatening him, which was unnecessary because a customer mentioning a review is not a threat. It is simply feedback. Around 5 pm he also asked me if I was going to leave because they were closed, even though I was still waiting for the issue to be corrected. Being rushed out felt rude, especially since the delays were caused by the store itself. Fortunately another associate, whose name I did not get, was very kind and willing to help. He reprinted the photos and tried different adjustments. Thanks to him I was able to leave with at least one usable photo from each set. Overall the service at this location depends on who helps you. Jeremy needs significant improvement in customer service, but the other associate provided excellent help and saved my experience.

This store is very quaint and welcoming! The owner/person at the register was really nice. And they have great prices here (there is a shipping store walking distance from us but their prices are not great or service so we are willing to drive here). I highly recommend coming here for your box needs! And they have some sports paraphernalia like jerseys and Nike shoes (all under $100) and random trinkets.
