Went to Shred Time near LAX to get rid of some old documents, and the whole process was incredibly easy. From 1 to 41 pounds, it's a flat $20, with an extra fee after that, which felt very reasonable. As soon as I walked in, someone met me at the door, took my bag, and placed it on the scale right in front of me so I could see the weight. Super transparent. Then they had me watch everything being shredded live on a TV screen, which was honestly such a cool and reassuring concept. Edson came outside to our car, all smiles, and insisted to take all of our bags inside their dugout for shredding services. Solo Homerun. Judy welcomed us for attending and led the way into the office area to pay for services. She was so sweet & kind...and her infectious smile lit up the room. Solo Homerun. Shred Time charges a basic minimum rate of $20 for up to 40 pounds of paper = $0.50/lb. and anything over is $0.49/lb. Solo Homerun. Shred Time's facility/office & playing-field is very clean. They have complimentary coffee pods in the lobby. There's parking right in front. But make sure to let them know you're arrived because there's a few stairs leading to the on-deck circle...and Edson or someone else will gladly carry everything inside the stadium. Was in & out of there in no time. Highly recommended for all your shredding needs. Anytime you're greeted with a smile makes for great customer service! I met Hannah who was very knowledgeable and big smiles! The process was super easy and we watched out things go to the shredder! While looking at the price sheet the shredding of "clothes" intrigued me as I had a bag of items for GoodWill .... it was explained that the clothing was mostly uniforms, etc. and that made a lot of sense. I have been a happy customer of Shred Time for YEARS now, as you see from my previous reviews - but I will be looking for a new shredding company now. I scheduled their truck to come out to shred for their $120 rate for 10 bankers boxes (+$6 ea additional box). They gave me a window of 12-1pm. I called the day of service just before 12 to confirm they would be there in the next hour. Rose was trying to be helpful (the only reason for 2 stars), she said the driver would call me to give me an eta. Even though i called to check with her FIVE TIMES, I never got a call from the driver. She said they had a big job right before me so I tried to be understanding. After waiting around for them til almost an hour after my window passed, still with no call back, I called Rose to reschedule. Fast forward to my rescheduled appointment, for 10am. No window, Rose gave me a firm time, bc I had to wait for them the previous week. Shortly after 9am I called to check on their eta. Rose again said the driver would call me with an eta, & in a deja vu-y kind of experience, I received no call. I called her back as 10am was approaching & still no eta. Only after I cancelled did the driver call to say he may be able to arrive at 11am. I was not about to wait around yet again to see if they would be able to actually make that time. I am disappointed in how unreliable this service has become. It makes me sad to look for another shredding company after relying on this one for so many years. read more

I took about 10-years of old documents, some personal in nature that needed to be shredded, but way too much for my home shredder. Brought the pile (49 lbs worth) to Shred Time on Saturday morning...the gentleman helped me carry the documents from my car, and let me watch as he shredded them. Easy as can be. Reasonably priced also. Very glad I found this place...I'm sure they do really large jobs, but it's nice to know where you can go with smaller jobs also. read more

Stopped by Shred Time today with an ever-growing box of paperwork, documents, etc. that had been accumulating and moving with me from a couple of different homes. Greeted immediately as I approached the open door, we moved my box of old stuff to a scale to be weighed, then dumped on to the shredding platform. This place was great. The guy helped me take my shredding materials out of my trunk. It was very fast and inexpensive. I only had 48 pounds and it only cost me $23.52. You didn't have to have a minimum of so many boxes or so much weight or whatever that's the part I like, as long as you have $20 worth of shredding to do they'll do it. What a great experience. The place is very conveniently located, just south of Century Blvd. off La Cienega. I only needed 2 boxes of old tax papers shredded and the way I was treated, you'd think I'd brought 100 boxes. A guy came out to my car, took the boxes inside, weighed them in front of my eyes and then took them through a nearby door while I watched everything being shredded on a TV monitor. Used them on President's day! I called in the morning to check if they were open and they told me they were until 5pm. Drove from Studio City to their location near LAX and finally dropped off the 5 bags of documents we've been accumulating for a while. The front desk lady greeted me and even came to my car to help me carry some of the bags. She put them on a cart, took them to the scale, showed me the weight and proceeded to create the receipt for me. I sat there watching satisfyingly how they shredded everything I dropped off!
