The service provided was excellent. I got there early and they weren't opened but they assisted me anyway. The guys there were really nice and very sociable. For the amount of documents I needed shredded, I'd say the price was a good deal. Better than I expected. Will I come back for future services? Absolutely! Omg!!! When you know you know. Have you ever been overwhelmed with a mountain of papers that you dread to shred? ( see what I did there?) I found The Shredding Place on Yelp and guess what! They are amazing!! Johnny, Julio and Larry will shred your important documents and other items either with a scheduled appointment or you can leave them, your choice. I chose to wait to have the full experience and I was not disappointed at all. The process is speedy and thorough. Love this place!!! I will be back. read more

Whether you're shredding a room's worth of paper or just a little box, they will take care of you. You can make an appointment or just come on in. I always use them when we have shedding that would cause our little office shredder to die. Can't beat the prices too! Support small family owned businesses! read more

When you have private or confidential files you want to shred, you can trust Shredding Place in Torrance. I've been using their services for over 16 years. I have clients' files with their personal IDs, clients' medical records, my old TAX files, the company's records, old Fax records files, old DVDs and CDs, and my past school's personal information. They have all types of shredding machines for paper, discs, old cassette tapes, old VHSs, hard drives, films, etc., at their facility. You can drop off or make an appointment to be a witness to the shredding process yourself. Their prices are less than half the price of the UPS Store shredding service. Even if you have a lot of everyday shredding items, I highly recommend Shredding Place. They're exceptionally trustworthy. To be frank, they did not ask me to write and post my honest review on Yelp. read more

What a great company! I was caught in a bind calling all over the South Bay. I told myself that I was going to try one more number to see if I could get someone that was open on Saturday. I called and they were not open, however they were coming in later. I met them at their office and what a joy meeting with them. After ten minutes job done, had a great time, great conversation and will make it a point to bring all my recycling here! read more

Brought in 4 boxes, he weighed them, poof, then im done. Great experience. Owners made this very easy.

My experience with this place was great! I was in the process of moving across the country and had lots of documents that I wanted shredded. I have a little shredder but it would have taken a really long time to do it myself versus showing up at their business with maybe a 140 pounds of documents that they were able to shred in maybe 10 minutes. I witnessed the shredding which was a fascinating process. I also had them destroy multiple hard drives, iPhones, iPads as well various items that were no longer usable. I don't often write reviews but if you are looking for this kind of service I would highly recommend this business in terms them being very helpful and having great prices! read more

I just finished digitizing about 20 years of photos and needed to discard the originals. Very happy to find this on Yelp, and it's so close to my home! I thought about making an appointment to watch them shred, but really just wanted to get rid of things quickly, so stopped in instead. I brought in photos, negatives and receipts and it came out to $16 ($1 per pound). They gave me a certificate of destruction and said it would be done by the end of the day. The whole thing was quick and easy. I don't often have a lot of shredding, but if I ever do again I will be coming here. read more

I made an appointment because I wanted to watch the documents being shredded ... more out of curiosity than concern for security. I called on a Saturday and got an appointment for that afternoon. I arrived just ahead of the time for the appointment, paid $15 ... this price is good for up to 45 lbs ... very reasonable... I was taken to the shredding area and watched the process. "I was in and out" in about 15 minutes. this was a good experience... The two employees were courteous, efficient, and knowledgeable. Yelp is my "go-to" and I've never been disappointed. read more
