Awesome local business with the the most friendly and helpful staff. I received a weird return label from a shoe company that didn't quite get all the numbers on the label. I took it to Jackie Ruiz at Playa Place at about 10 minutes before they closed for the day. Jackie noticed that the label wasn't right, but she reprinted it for me AND took it to the correct mailing center for me that night. She stayed in touch very much the way all mailing companies do making sure I could track my package. She sent me a confirmation receipt as well. Jackie went above and beyond what I expected and I got my return in the mail a few days later. She even checked back to make sure I got it. Need a private post office box or place to receive packages? Playa Place is that Place! You get a street address in Playa Del Rey with a suite number and everyone delivers to it! You can ignore all those "we don't deliver to POBs" warnings. I opted for Playa Place which is a little bit further from me than the other 2 big named stores first because it's a privately owned, small business and second because I can park right outside the door! Convenience! Better than that is Monica who owns Playa Place. She calls when you receive a package and if you need one shipped, she does that as well! No long lines and hunting for a parking space! Monica is also fun to talk to. Yesterday I mentioned I was headed next to buy a gift card. She reminded me that she also had cards... BEAUTIFUL CARDS! You won't find anything like these at the big stores. My card is as nice as the gift! Have something in Polish that you can't read because you don't know the language? I bet if you're nice Monica would even translate it for you. Much, Much more than just walking in to a huge place with hundreds and hundreds of boxes... at Playa Place you get personal service and smile when you leave! read more

I've been a client of Playa Postal for several years. During that time there was a change of ownership and several employees. I'd like to give a shout out of appreciation to the manager Chris! He's exceptional in every way; he greets me with a smile and a welcoming hello everytime I enter, and I've witnessed he does the same to each customer. He puts aside his work when I come in to make sure that my mail and packages are received, and treats each customer as an individual, not just another paying client. In a world where customer service is so often lacking, it's refreshing to see a manager that cares so much about the business and clients. It's a pleasure to do business here and I've just renewed my annual contract based upon the excellent service and customer care he provides. When there is an issue with another employee not getting packages out, Chris is there to quickly resolve the issue in a friendly, sincere way. I used to put a word doc on a thumb drive, and bring it to fed ex MDR in order to get any printing done. Printers die easily and the cartridges are a pain to replace. When driving down Culver we noticed a new banner outside PLAYA PLACE - so decided to phone about printing. Wow - Jackie is on the ball. Printed, Notified Completed, Delivered in a Manilla Envelope.
