Please go to the UPS Store (they are awesome!), FedEx, or USPS for any shipping or mailbox needs. I tried to support a local business, and it failed me miserably. They refuse to own up to their mistakes. I am extremely disappointed in Alberto and The Mailbox. They are changing the facts after the fact. Please do not believe any response they post here. I tried multiple times to get them to do the right thing. Mistakes happen, but it is what a business does when that happens that matters. I needed to get a notarized document by Friday at 3 PM. I was in their office on Wednesday and knew the cutoff was probably around 4 or 5 PM. We looked at 2-day options to make sure it got there before Friday at 3 PM. I decided not to risk it and paid extra to have the package arrive Thursday night by 8 PM, based on the understanding that it would be sent out Wednesday. I have their receipt that says Thursday at 8 PM, not Friday at 8 PM. I was never told it would miss the Wednesday cutoff. If I had known, I would have paid extra for FedEx Overnight Priority to get it there Friday morning or gone to FedEx myself where the cutoff is 5 PM. The package did not arrive on time and caused major issues. When I contacted them, they told me to file a claim with FedEx even though they knew it was dated Thursday and not eligible for a refund. I spent an hour on the phone with FedEx on multiple calls, a total wild goose chase. After I found out the package missed the cutoff, they changed their story and said I had been told about it and that they were doing me a favor trying to make the cutoff. That is not true. If they had said the cutoff might be missed, I would have made different choices including a 5 minute drive to Fedex store to get it there by 5 PM or again, sent it Overnight Priority to get there by Friday by 11:30 AM. I thought I was supporting a local business, but they do not deserve support. I am disappointed they refuse to make this right. They may reply claiming I was told otherwise, but that is not true. If something goes wrong, you will be out of luck. Go to the UPS Store (they are great) or FedEx Office instead. This was my first and last time going there. read more

The mailbox helped me out a lot I came to get a document notarized at 9:45 I did have to wait a bit since they let me know I had to wait until 10am for Albert to come in but it was quick and easy process for $15 it was close by my house so if I need the services again will definitely go! read more

I go in here to either mail things or drop off my FedEx packages. I think they don't accept USPS but they do take UPS and FedEx. They are so nice here and I'm glad we have them in our little town! read more

Usually these places are dingy and the staff is careless. Had a very different experience here. And never realized that we had a shipping place right in town! They do UPS and FedEx, but not USPS. Not a problem for my needs. The woman who helped me was just super nice and helpful. I got in and out quickly. Worthy of a shout out. OPEN ON P-DIDDY DAY! (president's day) had to get a notary done with a quicknes and didn't know where to turn... until i turned to my Yelp App... bam. done. again. located on Main St, next to the public parking lot, ironically, with a mailbox in front. private mail boxes and shipping available here. nice lady greeted me and got started on my notary. i also had the pleasure of having her send it out via fax. $13 and 5 mins later, i'm back out the door. BAM! done son! some guy also came in to buy 1 white envelope for $.25. not bad. great little service and nice lady. come check it out. read more

Truly terrific service! I blitzed in the door with a load of gifts to go to two different addresses on opposite sides of the country. One had long, skinny dowels and a bunch of size mis-matched items, some fragile. The other had plain fragile items and overall less random sizing. It took quite a bit of measuring and re-fitting to find the right box, pack all the fragile items in bubble wrap, collect the addresses, and ready the boxes for out the door and on their way. Robin was great, totally unflappable even when two customers with different questions arrived in the middle of my boxing up. They were happy to "get in and get out" without complications, and I was OK with the interruption--it's that kind of place--people are courteous and careful! Major applause to Robin, who despite my items' mis-matched sizes and a Rubic's cube of ways to keep the fragiles organized in the boxes and delivered safely, got it all done pretty quickly even while interrupted by quick-question customers. I didn't have the heart to make them wait for simple things when my double-box set was kind of a pain to wait through. Led to some nice conversation, too! Smiles all round at the end, so: Wow! Knowing this is a sensitive thing given my mom recently passed, I was met with care and respect and told not worry, it would go out that day. Needed to get a signature on a form notarized. The lady was very helpful and was able to take care of it on the spot.

Small, but efficiently ran establishment. I work down the street so I come here when I need a stamp or send something out. Both ladies that have assisted me are really nice. An individual stamp cost 70 cents. There's also a mailbox out front. Oh, and I snapped a picture of the front door so you can check out the hours. read more

Love this local place. I come here often now since our downtown ES USPS closed. They sell a book of stamps for ten bucks and will mail packages, help stop junk mail, notarize documents, etc. Great location and Robyn is really nice. You can also rent post office boxes. read more

I think I have been in this place three times since I've lived in El Segundo. Each time I think, it will be a good experience. Well I was wrong again. The woman there this morning, I don't know if she's the owner or the manager or what, but she needs to be better at customer service. Not only this time, but the last couple times I've been there- she always seems in a hurry and inconvenienced that I'm at her shop. Sucks, Box #902 refuses to stop sending me advertisements via my printer. The company, Mail Box, the rents the boxes refuses to give the information so I can contact the person renting that box or attempt to get them to stop sending me ads I didn't ask for or want. read more

I went in today to send a package to Canada and first the woman told me it wasn't possible then after I convinced her that it was she reluctantly agreed. Then she spent about 25mins trying to figure out the paper work and seemed completely put out the whole time. Finally I had to leave (I was picking someone up at the airport and their plane landed) without my package being sent What an epic waste of time I would not recommend going here. read more

into the ebay experience but not into lines and supporting corporations? do you live close to the mayberry of the south bay? southbayberry, if you will? if so, you gots to check out the mailbox. burdened with 5 items that needed special packaging and shipping, i wandered into the mailbox, past the woodshop project styled PO boxes (think varnished plywood. the chris-craft of cubbyholes) to the back counter, where on two seperate days i was helped quickly, efficiently, and cost-effectively. small boxes were only a buck and they threw the labor and peanuts in. this makes liquidating the excesses in my home an easy endeavour. there's a lot to love about el segundo -- always 72 and sunny, good eats, small town vibes, and, of course, the mailbox. read more
