Our daughter is getting married in August and we wanted to get our invitations "hand stamped" at USPS. I visited two USPS locations in Palos Verdes but both did not give me the impression it was something they wanted to do. Through a friend, I heard about the Manhattan Beach location on 15th - specifically due to Vanita and Martha. I brought in our invitations this morning and Vanita was so courteous and helpful. All the invitations were hand stamped and we are more than grateful for Vanita's help. I highly recommend this location. read more

This is a good small post office. If you time it and have time on your hands, so waiting in line is not an issue, it's a good post office as the staff are friendly. Parking can be easy, and the area is nice with lots of places to shop and visit before or after. Typically only one window is open with one person servicing the line, and there's no self-service automated kiosk like the one's you'll find at the main post office or larger ones. read more

I avoid coming here as much as possible. Had so many bad experiences in the past. But sometimes it's necessary. Haven't been here in a few years, and of course the one time I come back the clerk is rude for no reason and seems extremely annoyed at my simple questions. read more

I've had a post office box at the 15th Street location for more than 20 years. I cannot say enough about the two ladies who work there. Sometimes they're the brightest spot in my day. When looking at these other Yelp reviews I was sad to see that they're still here when some are 7 years or more old and they say they haven't been in the post office for years. I really like this post office! It might be the best post office I've ever had to go to LOL Not because it's the coolest or newest but because of the two ladies who work here. On a busy Friday afternoon an hour before closing, Vanita gave concierge level service to each customer, multitasking , working quickly and efficiently, and offering helpful info after very pleasantly asking them what they needed--all the time coaxing a glitching computer. She was efficient , proactive and really seemed to enjoy helping customers. When I arrived she was helping a perfectly able bodied & thirtyish customer carryout a heavy package and did so again later while another customer was filling out paperwork so nobody else had to wait a second longer than they would have anyway--because she moves fast! Everything in the small space was well-organized and clean. Give this lady a raise, have her train staff at the Beverly Hills & Marina Del Rey post offices , but most of all hope she stays at MBPO! read more

Vanita and Martha are wonderful. They both are warm and friendly even on the busiest days. People complaining about this location don't realize it's a smaller location and sometimes one of them is required to be in the back while only one can be up front. They both try to meet everyone's needs as best as possible. I've seen many rude people complain about wait times or being closed for lunch from 12-1. You want to mail a letter at 12:10? You're already cutting 10 minutes into their lunch break. Be respectful. Go to the one up the street on 10th and Sepulveda if you don't have the patience. I will always find the time to come to this location because the service is always great. read more

Martha shut the door on me. There was no line and it is 12:10 noon I asked her of she can just let me send one mail and buy an envelope. She said she can sell me an envelope but not let me send my mail. I asked if she had any consideration to others she said she shuts off people all day. And wished me a nice day. Wow. I live west of Sepulveda so this is great for me because of the location. However, every time I go there, I am amazed again, at just how terrible the service is. I have gone and there was a small scrap of paper taped to the door, it was hand written with a sharpie and said "closed for lunch".?!? The US Post Office....closed for lunch! I have gone in there and there is no one behind the desk. When I called out, an irritated voice responded to just wait a couple of minutes. The line grew and several other people called out (and honestly, not one of the people in line was rude)...each time....same response. When she finally came out 15 minutes later, she was actually annoyed! Why do I go back? I just hate the thought of venturing out on to Sepulveda when I don't really need to. And, hope springs eternal, maybe one day it will be a happy experience. ....but if you are doing anything more complicated than a simple transaction....avoid the aggravation. read more

I grew up in Manhattan Beach so I've been using this post office for many years. I enjoy mailing things to people so indirectly I also love (the idea of) the post office. This location is small (only three windows and, usually, at most, two are open) and has limited hours (Mon-Fri, closed by 4). A couple of times I've arrived only to find a sign on the door saying that they are closed for a while for lunch because they are short-staffed that day. While annoying, I haven't gotten too upset. The same ladies have been working there for years and I find them to be very kind and patient. The parking lot can get busy since it's small and shares the space with Joslyn Center and the MB Chamber of Commerce but it is usually possible to find a spot. I try to go off-hours, if I can to avoid waiting in a long line. They are generally pretty efficient, though, so I haven't waited for too long. My family had a post office box here for many years and never had any issues. The Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce is in the same building. read more

She's amazingly helpful and has always maintained a great professional attitude.(pretty rare in my post office experiences) I've been using this post office for years and years and I always hope to see her behind that counter when I walk. The hours of operation are ridiculous. They close at 4pm M-F and when one day I finally made it during that window they were taking a lunch break. From 2-2:55. Seriously? It's conveniently close to downtown MB I'll give it that but come on. read more

I wrote a bad review on this place when i had to send in my Taxes this year. I had to wait 25 minutes before they opened and that was 35 minutes after they were supposed to open. I got nothing but dirty looks form the woman who opened the place for asking "are you supposed to open at 9:00?" now 2 months latter i found out the held my taxes and mailed them late to the IRS. Costing me $390.00 in late fees. and I mailed it a week early. NEVER go here. parking sucks as well! GO to the mail place on Sepulveda across from Ralphs. they are great people. read more

This place is not open on Saturdays like it says here on yelp. Also note that the post office on Supulveda in MB is not open until 5 pm like their pickup slips say. Technology has failed me again! I'll give 3 stars for having a parking lot. read more

So frustrating to go to this post office. It used to be better. I am pretty liberal and not anti-government. But I understand why people hate the government after visiting this post office. It is most inefficient and hardly ever open when it's supposed to be. Who closes a post office for lunch? There's one person usually only there and slow as molasses. Long lines do not motivate them to get help or move any faster. I can't imagine a private business ever running this way and being able to retain customers. I live in town and like walking to this location but the experience is never good. I don't know how we can make this better or why the people there don't care. It makes all government employees look bad. read more

Starting on May 26th this post office closed between 12-12:30p. I came in at 12:23p and thought a few minutes wait....waited 30 minutes for someone to open the door but no one came out. At 12:45p, someone came in. Half the people thAt were waiting had walked out and left. Long wait! read more
