Free parking across the street. Older Post Office, I really like the detail inside. There were two Large tables, very convenient because I had to get two medium postal boxes & pack two orders onsite. Went on a Monday morning, it was super empty. M My only complaint is they didn't have any of the fun stamps available. So I got two books of the boring flag stamps (booooo). This is my closest post office and it sucks! Honestly, I feel bad for them because they're very slow and unorganized in there. There's like the one and only lady on staff at al times.. It's just frustrating because they lost a whole package I shipped out weeks ago and a buyer was refunded due to this post office's negligence. Like, I just thought I'd have to record packaging orders in case someone tried to claim their package never came but now I have to record because I can't even trust the people who are supposed to be trusted with delivering! My packages are typically late to ship anyways but now I have literally lost money due to this place literally losing a whole package! They can't even tell me where it is so I can't even get it back either like seriously that is so unacceptable and the fact a buyer had to be refunded, that just makes me look bad. It all falls on me in the end and this place doesn't even have an answer, don't even know what the hell is going on.. I can't depend on this post office and that's sad! My first time returning packages at this location and it will be my last. The attendee was rude. Mind you, I've never had to return anything before. So when it was my turn she just looked at me with a blank stare. I was trained to have customer service, you greet the person you're helping out, this lady did not. I go to this post office because it's the closest one, and tbf, they're good with delivery. I can handle mediocre service, but when it's bad/terrible then I have no choice but to leave a bad review. The issue I have with them consistently is their poor customer service. They usually only have 1 customer service person working, so when it's busy, it could take a long time. Today I was motivated to leave yet another review because of their bad customer service. I walk in and the rep is on his phone talking personal matters. He even uses profanity while there are customers in the post office. I look around to see if there is another rep available. There isn't. He tells me to drop my box in the container like I don't know what I'm doing. The box didn't have a mailing label so I didn't drop it off. He asks me if I had a mailing label. I tell him no. He tells me I'm not ready then and proceeds to help other customers who came after me. Little did he know I sell on eBay, so I needed my QR code scanned in order to print out the label at the post office. I was pretty annoyed at this point because he was assuming a lot of things. I also felt like he was being condescending like I never shipped before. He was more interested in getting back on his phone than helping customers. A hidden gem that I'm hesitant to share about because more people will find out about it. But I can't be greedy. This location is smaller than most post offices I've been to but it's less crazy than my local ones. Seldom do I find a long line when I visit. I am able to get in and out in a few minutes. The service is excellent and those working there are very efficient and helpful. I love the architecture of the building, it has an old school sense to it. There is plenty of public parking. To the right of the post office you will find a small lot with free public parking. Usually there are a couple spots available. It's definitely my favorite post office that's worth the extra drive to avoid my local ones long lines. read more

They usually only have ONE person manning the window, so if you come during a rush, there could be a wait. There have been rare times when there were two of them, sure, but it's what it is: RARE. Saying it happens "once in a blue moon" is being generous. But whoever's working the window is FAST. I've been coming here for years and I've seen the line at its worst. However, I've never waited more than 10, maybe 15 minutes even if the line is practically out the door. Not sure how they do it, but they're quick. Street parking only which is never an issue. One of the smaller post offices in the South Bay and far better than the one located on Redondo Beach Blvd... WAAAAAAYYY better. read more

This is by far my favorite post office. I remember coming here as a child and running around the place (I'm sorry!). This venue has a very large P.O box section, a box section, some tables for you to fill out information (just bring a pen because usually the pens provided are out of ink). The employees here are very helpful. I had trouble sending a package and the lady at the window helped me out which was very sweet of her. There are little to no lines and sometimes the place feels very quiet and empty. So if you have anything to drop off here, you will be in and out in a jiffy. read more

Went to USPS 1103 W Gardena Blvd, Gardena, CA 90247 on 9/30 at 3:30pm and they refused a 50lb package because "they just didn't want to" and closed the gates with no one at the counter. Meanwhile there's a line of customers. As a small business owner, USPS clearly doesn't want our much needed business. read more

This post office is in the middle of what it seems downtown old Gardena. The post office is small and they don't really have much helped. But is not busy and their friendly and helpful. So you don't have to stay in long lines like other post offices. I was in the neighborhood so I drop my package and I was on my way. Besides the Post Office on 120th and Avalon, this is the 2nd most slowest Post Office EVER. The parking/parking lot is crazy!! It's like everyone has a case of road rage for parking trying to play bumper cars and Speed Racer all at the same time. The only reason why I come to this location is because: 1) When I mail my items they make it to their destination ((unlike the other Post Office that I mentioned above)) 2) the attitudes of the employees is a little better than the above mentioned Post Office, and 3)It's close to the $.99 Cent Only Store across the street so I can shop. Literally just had the best post office experience of my life here. I am so used to Post Office workers being rude and unfriendly and this is not the case here!!! It is 1:45 on Friday 11/2/18. There is only one lady working, I truly wish I had gotten her name. I was doing an international return and had no idea what I was doing. She was SO friendly, so helpful, and even told me the cheapest way to send which saved me $20 from the way I was trying to send it! Thank you so so much, your service and smile is VERY appreciated!!! Omg no line....sorry typo NO LINE...no seriously no line whatsoever. Okay no change either but after a few minutes of yelling for Julio in the back she came back with my change. By then a little line had formed of 2 people and the person 2nd in line still tried to cut, lol the nerve and impatience of some people. My new go to post office if in the gardena area cause the one on redondo east of western sucks. Fyi they close at 5 so if your later than that i guess you have no choice except the long lines and no parking at the redondo beach blvd location. read more

Note: There are 2 post offices in Gardena.. this one is the small one on Gardena Boulevard not the big one on Recondo Beach Boulevard--despite that this one is the best ..there is ample parking along the street and within walking distance. I am giving the clerk Derwen or Dawen one star because his customer service was BAD not telling me the right size box to get I had wrapped the box up the tape and ran out...I was very upset because he then told me to get the other box...I asked if I could use the tape he said NO and gave me a stupid stare...I thought that he would have some sympathy, because I had my uncle ashes which I was sending to his daughter.. and I just needed his help just to get me threw this tough time...he was cold and kept telling me that I had to buy the tape..which I understood, but I really thought he was going to use the USPS tape to tape the box up more securely...I had to leave and go next door to Castro Studios to ask for some tape and Mr. Castro did help me...I went back to the post office and they guy was gone, but his co worker helped me and I began to cry...so I thank her and gave her 5 stars...this happened on August 8, 2014 @ 12:30pm she was Clerk: 06 read more

The customer service was excellent here. They greeted me with a natural smile, and they were willing to help the customers thoroughly. They explained to me very carefully about the procedure of a package plan, and they answered my questions politely. I had bitter experience with other post offices and DMVs, and the worst case, I was yelled for no reason, just by asking questions. Their unprofessional rudeness has fed my distrust toward the government institutions and the unions, and made me more concurrent with privatization of these institutions, but the service I got from this particular post office has made me rethink. The only thing I want them to do is to put the name tags on, so I can identify who was the good attendant, and probably recommend to the people I know, like "Oh, talk to Jane, she's very helpful, she'll walk you through." read more
