Avoid at all costs! Scheduled a passport appointment a week ahead, arrived 20 minutes early, waiting. Finally get told that they canceled all passport appointments for the next two weeks. No text, email, call, nothing. Two other people in the same boat. For something relatively time sensitive that effectively requires an appointment, how do you cancel appointments with no notice. The ONLY worker at the location, with a line out the door said someone was supposed to notify everyone, but she didn't know who. I no longer fear hell because I've been to the Hawthorne Post Office. If you're lucky, they'll be open on time. Often times they don't open until well after 9 (is that even legal?). The worst part about it is that the package slot is also broken so you can't just drop stuff off when they're closed and leave. You have to wait. It has been broken for years. Is it that hard to get some tools to fix it? The workers here are also some of the rudest people you well ever encounter and so, so slow. Do you know the sloth from Zootopia? Picture him behind bullet proof class rolling his eyes anytime you ask a question, and you have the average postal worker here. And if you want to avoid them, you can't, because guess what? Their self-service kiosk is broken too! It is sad that this is the best that can be done for our community. Nobody here cares. Everything is dirty and broken. The workers know they can't get fired so they do the bare minimum. This place makes the DMV look like Disneyland. read more

One of the WORST post office locations. Rude, incompetent and unprofessional workers. Expect your packages and mail to always come delayed. Do not send outgoing mail; it will either arrive extremely delayed or get "lost" aka STOLEN by the postal workers. No matter how many complaints you file, nothing is done to improve service. read more

This post office is a complete disgrace. They often close without even leaving a note on the door giving a reason. And when it's closed, you can't even drop off a package because the package slot is STILL broken two years later. It's dirty, the workers are rude and lazy, and half the time something has broken down and wont work. To the lazy workers: Do you not take any pride in your job at all? Made an appointment to get Passports for our kids. Rushed to make sure we had all the appropriate documents, got everyone ready, walked in just for them to tell us their passport person doesn't work on Tuesdays. If they had been sick, or had an emergency I would have understood, but allowing appointments to be booked on a day they know they can't take anyone is unacceptable. read more

Came in on a Tuesday at 4pm and I am the 11th customer in line with only 1 employee working. USPS needs to hire more staff to accommodate. This is the only location nearby with an available PO Box otherwise I'd never come here. Unfortunately, it is ALWAYS this busy. Having one window open out of 5 is ridiculous. Honestly I didn't stay in line long enough for a transaction. So my review is literally based on the fact that this location was clean and very organized. I love how much parking is available to the customers. I love the amount of room there is between the cars. The entrance and exit are clear. Not sure about the customer service. Most employees at an average office has a very slow moving disposition to them so seeing that didn't help my patience enough to stand on line due a quick scan of an envelope for drop off. read more

This location likes to hire THEIVES who STEAL packages. My package was left in a parcel locker which only I and the mail lady would have access to. I asked other nice lady who was covering for her if they're allowed to take packages out she said NO.It showed delivered and when I went to look in my mailbox it was not there. They provided me tape and came up to me when I was preparing my package. They were able to answer questions. The lady who helped me had a good sense of humor. They did everything right. Usually the lines are long and only one or two workers are present, and one is handling mail pick up, leaving one to work the window. The service gives the impression customer service isn't a concern. They closed the doors at 4pm although they're open until 5pm. Staff told us to use another exit that was blocked with caution cones etc, and customers had to move the blockage to exit. read more
