Generally this location does the best that they can. The staff of all women/female employees at the counter are very professional and friendly. Service is ****** five stars plus a 6th for being above average compared to most USPS employees in general. They always seem upbeat and happy with a good disposition. This location has that thick clear acrylic security barrier and deposit boxes for parcels and the side door closet type access point to pass large parcels through as well as PO Boxes. This place needs a better "self-service" upgrade like a kiosk to buy stamps and check in (scan to activate tracking confirmation status) parcels. They also need a better way to drop off parcels than the small mail slot drop that can maybe fit a 5" x 5" x 5" sized parcel that often jams. This place seems understaffed because I think, out of necessity they close for employee lunch breaks maybe in the timeframe of 1-3pm Parking is generally easy. Because they're understaffed, this North Branch... if you see a line longer than 5-6 people long, it's sometimes faster to drive to the main post office as a quicker processing alternative. read more

This post office came through when I was in a bind late one Christmas season, but I had to wait in line a very long time. This should be a three-star rating, but the posted hours are incorrect. Why? Because whoever works here has decided that it is occasionally appropriate to close the entire post office for fifteen minutes or a half-hour or an hour. For what? Lunch? A bathroom break? I know that many very small businesses have offices that close for lunch, and 95 percent of those small businesses accurately list their hours, either "Open 9 to 12:30, 1:30 to 5," or "Open 9 to 5 (closed from 12:30 to 1:30 for lunch)." Why can't this post office do that? Better yet, why can't this post office simply stay open? I have literally spent weeks, possibly months, of my life waiting in post-office lines in different parts of the country. This is the only post office I know of that actually closes at lunchtime. Why? There must be more than one person working at a time. Stagger the lunch breaks, as every business in the history of the world has done. Apparently, there's plenty of parking, but I didn't know about the parking lot, so I parked in front on the street. read more

Rates for postage keep going up, as well as rates for rental of boxes. Too bad the service doesn't improve at the same rate. Not long ago I had to wait in line while an employee socialized with another customer who they seemed to know personally. It didn't matter that a line was forming. Parking lot in back is filled during street cleaning days since some spaces are earmarked for a daycare nearby and other spaces are being used by who knows. read more

Went to drop off package. It was quiet so no issues. Dropped off package at the drop off window which gets picked up regularly.

Swung by at about 4 PM on a Thursday to send something via certified mail. Only one customer was ahead of me, but they were helped quickly so I was in and out in not much time at all. The woman at the counter was incredibly friendly and helpful. I will be using this post office next time for sure. read more

The people that work here are ridiculously lazy. Not being able to give a label insert after waiting 20 minutes in line? Not mentioning they had NO STAMPS after the longest line out the door until people come to the window!?!? Or waiting in line for them to REFILL/ RESTOCK their supplies?? Even tho she gave me the wrong location to go ask for a refund I came back and thought about correcting the address and she didn't charge me an additional fee! Yikes. This location is BAD. It's not clean, the vibes are dingy, and the inside is just really run down. The workers here are also HORRIBLE. Crystal in particular was so rude and condescending. She was very unhelpful and even at one point said to me "do you work here or do I" when I asked a clarifying question about how tracking would work. There was genuinely no reason for an attitude like that when I was new to using the post office and was unsure about certain things regarding tracking info. read more

On December 2nd 2025, I went to this location to mail gift cards to my former boss via certified mail and they refused to give me a receipt with a tracking number. Today which is December 15th 2025 and I texted my boss and she said that she never received anything from me in the mail. These post office employees are dishonest and shady. They stole my gift cards from me and they will most likely get away with it. They may be able to get away with it in this lifetime but they will not be able to get away with it in the next lifetime when they have to answer to God on Judgment Day. read more

I prefer to use this North Redondo USPO branch because the wait is fairly short. I also give staff credit because they're often short staffed but manage to get through lines quickly. The South branch is good too, but lines are often crazy-long. read more

The employee at this location gave me nothing but attitude. The large package drop off area for prepaid packages was locked. A woman came and opened the door and told me that I needed to wait in line in order to drop off the prepaid packages. I told her that the other postal offices have it opened all the time for anyone to drop off their packages. She then told me that I should just go to those other post offices then. She was a complete see you next Tuesday. By making people wait in line when it is absolutely unnecessary for them to do so all that that does is make everybody else have to wait longer to be helped. I'd like to get one star but I guess I can't. I went to this post office today I waited in line just to be able to put a package in a little door you open. I waited my turn I went up to the counter and put it in the door. This rude jackass started yelling at me about having to wait when a customers up there and that there was a place on the other side to put packages. First I didn't know there was anything on the other side second a customer wasn't there I waited my turn. It's bad enough that the post office loses your mail and they don't care about it now to be rude to boot. Opened a PO Box here a few months ago, and they've already lost a package. The employee behind the counter got defensive and told me he couldn't do anything to help me that it "wasn't back there" even though they signed in the package (delivered by UPS, I had the tracking information). I guess the good news is that I found out right away how unreliable their service is, and I didn't have all my mail going there yet. The bad news is that losing my shipments defeats the whole point of renting a PO Box, so I have now switched to a private one across the street. read more

Why will Post Offices be a thing of the past? This is why. I had to mail off a package this morning and silly me I thought I would get up at 8:00am and do so. I arrived at the Post Office only to find out the Post Office did not open until 9:00am; I guess it is nice to be a Postal Worker. I figured what the heck I will go run my errands and come back at 9:00am so I can mail off this package. I arrived back at the Post Office shortly after 9:00am only to find a note on the door that read 'Computer is DOWN, we will be opening later.' The Post Office itself does offer PO Box service but the actual windows looked like they squeezed 3 windows into a closet. I will probably never come back here. It's one of the smallest post office I've been to and close early and never opens on Saturdays. At this location, they have bullet proof glass!.. really, in Redondo Beach? :-( I used to have a postal box here. some of my mails came in larger boxes that didn't fit so they leave me a note in my box to pick it up at the front desk. This is the smaller of the 2 post offices in Redondo but I like it the most. They have a huge parking lot so parking is never a problem. I have had a PO BOX here for years and it is great especially when I go out of town because I do not have to worry about my mail and they are super cheap too. There are only 3 windows for service but for the most part it is pretty quiet in there except of course during the holidays (don't people know they can buy that stuff online and have them ship it, guess not). The staff is really pleasant and helpful. The main door is open 24 hours so you can get your mail or stamps from the machine any time of day. read more

It's a post office, local, convenient not a big deal. I always feel like cleaning up the place...straightening up the boxes and envelopes for sale, washing down the bullet proof glass with a bottle of Windex. Okay I know, that's going overboard, but come on, let's make the post office experience as nice as we can. Remember the days when the post office was pristine, efficient...friendly? Crippled by the same management as at the main post office, too little staff to support the customers, The staff that are usually here (Denise and Mike) are always friendly and helpful. The problem with this post office is that the parking is mostly in the back so if you have a large load you need to carry it from the parking lot to the windows, there is parking on Artesia but that can be hit or miss, also the lobby is very small and can get crowded quickly, Not as convenient as other nearby post offices for dropping off packages but they will do in a pinch. read more

Dropped off two packages on Friday 2/27th by 10:35am, one a priority mail envelope, the other 3 oz first class , priority was scan Sunday 2/29 at 8:29 pm, the first class package has NOT been scan. They have 3 employees, or maybe more , when they r not busy in front , you can hear them having a good time in back, if you happen to be opening a post office box when there. After standing in line for ten minutes a gal came out to tell the guy behind me that he would be the last person because the staff needed to go to lunch. 2 minutes later the postman comes out and closes the door in front of us and says. I'll be back at 2pm and then locks it. Leaving 3 of us standing there. What a dick move. If you knew your lunch was coming up, you should have anticipated your lunch and your line and made adjustments accordingly. But no you came out aggressively and locked the door. There's a right way and a wrong way. You did it the wrong way. Show some compassion for the people already in line. If I would have shown up with the door closed in anticipation of your lunch it would have been much easier. read more

Every time I come here there is always a line and only 1 or 2 people working. Come early and you can put stamps or address envelopes while waiting in line -- or get caught up on Words with Friends. No automated stamp machine also prompts for 2 stars. I can't say the workers are overly nice - but they are not mean either. Very matter of fact and just doing their job. I've done a lot of shipping lately and was recently concerned how promptly, efficiently and cheaply the USPS had become (how could private industry compete against government subsidised shipping?!) but wanted to write this review that this location has singlehandedly restored my faith in this time-honoured institution. Arriving and finding the line suspiciously short (apparently that's rarely the case?) I made the mistake of asking if it would be possible to ship two packages. Not so fast! Looking very surprised at me behind the (bulletproof?) plexiglass, the older woman working quickly assured me that I had come to the wrong place. For one- they don't have shipping tape (which makes sense- why carry that...), and I found it oddly refreshing when she stood up to walk into the back room for 10 minutes in the middle of conversation. I could see the mental toll that asking to ship the packages had had on her and hope she has since recovered. The second package was a no ship because it looked puffy. Fortunately- she was able to direct me to a nearby shipping location where for a slight premium, I was able to pay to have them collect the packages to drop off at USPS later that day. You go to the United States Post Office for the experience and because you hate yourself, and for that reason I cannot recommend this location enough read more

No offense to anyone but the lady that works there in her little corner has a nasty attitude, no patience, and is very condescending.... she's probably worked there for forever so she feels she has an upper hand and is better than anyone who walks though that door. JUST WHEN YOU THOUGHT THINGS COULDN'T GET ANY WORSE! I bundled up a bunch of envelopes misdelivered to people at my building who no longer live here. I put a note to that effect and wrapped them tightly with a rubber band--IMAGINE MY DISMAY WHEN THEY WERE ALL RE-DELIVERED with even more mis-delivered mail!!! No wonder the PO is going down the tubes! Plus, despite the fact that I filled out a COA form a few months ago, my friend called to tell me a card she sent me got returned back to her. This is a tiny little post office in artesia blvd, the people are nice enough but they don't have a working vending machine for stamps, so if you're in a pinch for stamps after hours, you'll need to go somewhere else.
