There are USPS locations closer to home, but I had errands to run which required being around this area. With the help of Yelp, I discovered this USPS location which was convenient given I had to be around here anyway. I was a little deterred because of the reviews, but thought, eh. I'm already nearby. I usually use the kiosk, and of course it's out of order. I was then forced to get in line. Three people ahead of me, so I prepped to be here for a long minute. And I knew I was wrong about that dreaded wait as soon as I saw there were three workers at the windows. The locations close to home rarely have two workers at the window, but three? I don't remember the last time I've seen that. Needless to say, I was outta there sooner than I anticipated. And the lady who helped me was friendly and matched that service with a smile. I tracked the packages and they were delivered on the day and within the time frame as promised. So it was a great first run. Now on my radar. read more

It's seems to always be busy and don't let get you started when November comes around It's always usually super super slow and usually it's max 2 people working but there days it's just one I'm thankful for the most part I now print my own labels but if I need help I know I'm gonna wait a good while Its close Saturdays now so that means having to go to another location Parking lot is tricky it's one way in on one street and you exit another way on a very busy street which is not ideal But yeah you can tell this place is old and needs a lot of love too I mean it's a typical post office I suppose you just go in and stand and wait your turn not much you can do! read more

This PO was the closest to my work location as I needed postage stamps (for work). Parking lot is a pretty good size and there was plenty of parking available when I went around noon. I was the only customer in line and I hadn't purchased postage stamps in years and asked the clerk how many booklets can 100.00 buy lol. She was efficient and answered me cordially but wasn't very friendly (more robotic like). read more

several patrons and I have been waiting since before 8:30 am for the inner lobby to be opened to drop mail in the lobby mailbox. It is now 9:08 am and no one has come to unlock the door to the lobby. TERRIBLE experience! It is NOT my fault all YOUR pricing for YOUR supplies is WRONG; items are in the wrong place according to you. Oh it's holiday season so the cost is more! FUCKIN' FIX IT! I'm asking you what the cheapest way to mail a package & you rush me to choose something then you question my decision because I decided to choose the cheapest posted price & it's ALL WRONG. YOU fuckin' led me in the wrong direction. WASTED my time & effort with you. Epic fail CARSON USPS. You only got a star because I can't post if I don't choose "1". read more

Always very rude staff. Today was no exception. The staff are not courteous and they speak to you like you're a stubborn little kid.

It's my first time coming to this location and the service isn't the best they need ether hire new staff or train there staff to be more helpful and deliver a better service. read more

I never have good post office experiences but this was my first time at this location and it was great. This sweet little lady behind the counter was so patient with me, she helped me figure out the self service machine and all was good. I wish I had gotten her name, she had silver hair read more

Im so irritated with this location. I sent a birthday card over a month ago!! I just happened to be close to this location- so I went inside and put it in the slot to mail. Never reached its destination. I know someone took it thinking because it was a card it had money or Gift Card in it. It didn't- just a card for a special friend's bday to show how much they mean to me. So mad- casrson do better! read more

I love the self-service machine when it works... Came here today and waited in line for a receipt since the machine wasn't working. I tried for a good 2 minutes. When it came to my turn, the guy came with me to help me at the machine and thought I was just scanning the wrong barcode. The touch screen didn't work at all. He ended up taking my package back to his window and giving me a receipt there. Good customer service, and the line goes quickly most times I've been here. I just hate the setup of the one way parking and the fact that it's a struggle to get out and go in the direction of my house. I usually go to the other USPS by Carson Mall since it's open longer. read more

I would rate this location negative five if I could. By far the WORST customer service I have ever encountered. I just wanted to drop off a prepaid package and this middle-aged to elderly Asian/ Filipino man who works at the last window (didn't catch his name, and most likely he would not have given it to me, even if I asked) gave me so much unnecessary trouble. I went today, 9.8.2021 around 10:55 - 11:05a.m. and mind you, it wasn't packed. I wish he would put that much energy into his actual job and work more efficiently rather than give good paying customers grief about dropping off a prepaid package. I usually drop off packages at the designated drop off mail slot but my package was too big and it didn't fit. I wish more people cared about their job, and clearly, this man does not care about his job. GOOD HELP IS HARD TO FIND! I would strongly encourage USPS to train their employees to be kind and courteous to customers instead of yell at them. This employee was extremely rude and needs to learn manners. read more

This branch of USPS are lazy and inconsiderate. We have a box in our area for all the residents. The carrier leaves packages on the floor for anyone to pick up and WILL fraudulently sign as handed to resident or C Covid. Amazon, UPS, and FedEX deliver packages to the door. I have friends that work at USPS at other locations and they even state they shouldn't be leaving packages in this manner. So what's up with the laziness? read more

USPS is making 2020 a Bah, Humbug experience. Due to Covid-19 I did much of my shopping on the internet. Previously I have always had a very positive experience. Unfortunately as of a couple of months ago USPS is broken. On December 5, 2020 I bought a Christmas stuffed moose for my grandson. It wasn't a major part of his present but just meant to bring a smile to a dreary year. The moose was identical to his favorite baby stuffed animal. To this day the original one still sits on top his dresser as the years have made the stuffed animal a tad on the fragile side due to wear and tear. So when I located it's twin I knew it would bring a smile to his face. The purchase was made on December 4, 2020. It arrived at the Apple Valley, CA Post Office on December 6. As of December 11, 2020 it has been sitting at the Carson, CA USPS Processing Center. From that date forward it has been stuck. It didn't make it to Shelbyville, KY in time to be included with my Christmas presents that were being shipped to NC. Normally I would send my package via USPS but because I have purchases sitting at different USPS locations throughout the USA I decided to ship my package with presents via UPS. read more

The staff, office & service is quick, efficient, & helpful. They have served the community for a long time rain or shine even on the busiest times & long lines. They get the job done. I appreciate all the hard work they do, because it's not easy. Thank you!!! read more

This location works really well for me since it's in the area. I've been many times but only needed assistance a few trips and was helped out, maybe not with smiles on their faces, but got done what I needed. The self service kiosk when working is a treat so I don't have to stand in line, 1-2 times the kiosk was not operational which led to a headache. It pays to learn how USPS works and saves a ton on shipping if you just buy postage and print labels from home. On the other hand, the mail carriers from this location that deliver to my door have been outstanding and always courteous when I thank them for my mail. It's a tough job that I couldn't or wouldn't want to do, so them doing their job is much appreciated. read more

The post office is the only company I can think of that lets their employees act horrible and completely rude to their customers. As soon as you walk in you're gonna get attitude. Completely unprofessional but that's what I expect from the USPS. I ship multiple packages daily. Can't wait for the day I don't have to deal with the post office at all. It's no surprise they are struggling to stay alive. These people hate themselves as much as the company hates itself. read more

WARNING! Rude Gov't employees. Go Elsewhere! I went in to buy a money order n a stamp. The employee (Old Filipino man) had me repeat 3 times the dollar amount I was trying to purchase. Then I asked for a postage stamp. Then that became a discussion. I said I need a regular postage stamp he responded "everything is regular" as he pointed to the stamps layed out on his counter. His whole vibe was Rude. There were only two people in line (me & another guy). read more

Worst costumer service I have ever experienced when I haven't received my delivery and I called the Usps customer service , A lady answered the call at 4:19 pm today(August 14), I can't hear the name very clearly and she spoke very fast and the tone she spoke is impolite. She treated me like a shit.: She had me waited twice when I wanted talking and she played the waiting music and even haven't said excuse her she got something to do. It's actually like muting my mouth. I know the girl might handle hundreds of phone call like me who can't find their delivery and need to help. When you lost delivery and paid the bill and you met a rude person... it's really horrible experience. I don't think the person in charge the post office will see this review, but today was a really sad day. I want to say to the girl today, if you can't help people, please don't hurt their feeling. If you think customer service job is a hard work you can't handle, please find a another job for for you. You are not capable of the job. Really!!!! read more

This review is specifically for Marsha Griffin --- one of the more unprofessional postal workers I had the misfortune of dealing with. I was in Carson doing some errands --- one having to do with returning a package as well as looking for one that had not yet arrived. I felt there was NO "meeting of the minds" as I could not comprehend her explanations regarding my concerns/questions hence I asked if I could deal with someone else. Ms. Griffin told me to go to the gentleman (who was very courteous, helpful and professional) at the next window. Well, she started going off to her workers --- including the person I was dealing with --- on how "rude" I was; and that I had a very bad attitude. I could hear her the entire time. TALK ABOUT UNPROFESSIONALISM. read more

Most people write reviews under two circumstances: extremely pleased or horribly dissatisfied. I am writing because I have been remiss in completing the receipt surveys. Consequently, I am writing now to express my delight In having the convenience of this nostalgic Post Office nearby adjacent to the Carson Sheriff's Department. I have consistently received great service from the postal staff through every season irregardless of the time of day or week. Even when the lines are extremely long during the Christmas holidays, each employee I have encountered at this site has been efficient and courteous. I am thankful to have this Carson Post Office in the neighborhood and serving the community. read more

With so much disregard to genuine helpfulness and disrespect towards their customers, I cannot in good faith give them more than 1 star. 1 star is, in my book, being extremely generous. I had a very important package coming internationally and had the unfortunate luck for it to be processed in this facility before being sent to my city. It stayed in this black hole of an establishment for 2 weeks before moving. And I am considered lucky because if you ask around, there were people who waited much longer. Longest I've seen is around 40-45 days. There honestly needs to be a thorough investigation of this facility if so many people are experiencing the same problems, whether it's rude customer service or ridiculously long and unexplainable delays for shipped packages. read more

Horrible service!!! The African-American lady in her 50s working the window was the rudest person ever, the first thing out of her mouth was "you have no clue what you're doing" and once done practically threw the change at us. I had the most horrible experience at the office with Jesse, he was extremely rude and not willing to help me out. I will not be returning to this office again. If I can give zero stars... I would, the Asian guy named Jesse was horrible, he covered the first line of address with certified mail sticker and tried to gaslight me that it's readable, I told him I want my mail back but he rudely said no... and then shouted "next' went back to my car and something didn't feel right cuz it's a very important document so I rushed back in to get my mail... this time I was being serious about it... he handed it back to me with a very upset face. Never use their International Express Mail service ($70.95) for sending important documents, your package won't get to the destination until 3-4 weeks later (no guarantee), better off putting on a few stamps and save the $$$.  Better yet, use FedEx International with guarantee. Put a vacation hold for my family's mail recently--all mail is on hold at the post office until whatever date requested. Went to go pick up the mail when we got back just to find out they never held the mail and overfilled our mailbox. Who knows what mail could be missing. Sucks because we're also waiting on some legal documents. Don't bother doing anything here besides sending stuff out with signature requests or whatever. read more

Stupid sh*t ever i hate USPS especially this fcking location. Package said ready for pick up and was at this LOCATION, the dude literally stare at the tracking number and went WILL BE DELIVERED TOMORROW like wtf? Didnt it say ready for pick up right there and I couldn't re schedule either on the actual website. My other package couldnt deliver because of after hours in weekend so they didnt reach to my area to get it delivered, so i was POLITELY enough to ask him if the package is here to by any chance. He said "MAYBE IT STUCKS SOMEWHERE THATS WHY IT COULDNT BE DELIVERED, SORRY. THEY ATTEMPT TO DELIVER BUT COULDN'T". Every single post office Ive been to is a nightmare, period. I only go when I absolutely HAVE to. Usually it's for picking up packages, which isn't usually a hassle. I wait in line a bit, someone from behind the glass windows ask if someones picking up packages eventually, I pick up my packages, and I leave. There are those very few (thank goodness) times that I really have to go in to mail something, and that's usually an issue for me only because the person (it's always someone different) isn't being very helpful or doesn't like when I have questions to clarify that I'm sending my packages/mail properly. Honestly, just sedate me or something if i ever have to come here or any post office for that matter. I wish the Postal Service didn't hire such grumpy people. We hate being there as much as they do, I'm sure, so it doesn't help when they want to give everyone an attitude about everything. read more

Not sure if anyone reads these but I have to note that the ladies are have the absolute worst service! They don't even let you speak before that start restricting you with all their "rules". I was in a rush for next day shipment and was in need of a box, I didn't show up with one because I was hoping to have some guidance as to which one would be the best option. Instead she kept saying that my shipment "needed a to and return label". DUH I don't think anyone is that incompetent, but she would even give me the time to ask. By the time I tried figuring it out on my own asking for vices that I realized that had in the back, but by the time I got them to listen to me I had missed my deadline. There really is just no common curtsy or customer service at all. Very sad; as this was my go-to usps store near my warehouse. The is the last time I enter in here as it is NOT my first experience similar to this. read more
