What I found amazing is the fkn morons who come up to the clerks window with the unpacked items asking what type of box or package to use. USE A FKN BOX THAT'LL FIT. THEN BRING IT UP TO THE FKN WINDOW! Are you stupid or is this thr first time you've ever shipped a fkn thing? then the clerk tells them to pack it then come back to same window cutting in front of awaiting customers! Every time I come here I get great service which surprises me as to why the rating is so low. I like to come into any establishment smiling and giving warm energy because that's what I would like to receive in return. Majority of the time I already have my packages labeled so I drop them off but if I do have to wait to speak with someone they're helpful. read more

If i could give no stars i would. Went to this post office and inquired about my missing package for a week. The manager keeps insisting that all packages get scanned right away and did not want to check the mailbox. He also keeps on telling me to check the tracking online even if I am already showing it to him. He also claims that all mail are being scanned from LA and not over there. How can LA scan it if I dropped it at their facility? ‍ I am a reseller so I know how this works but he is making me look like i do not know anything. i often go here to ship package although my boxes are light they ate still fragile and customers often complain to me that the package is broken or the box, but those two old guys that work there just throws my box on the bin after scanning even though there a bunch of fragile stickers on them, i don't know if they ignore that or they don't know how to read it's frustrating read more

Grouchy. Am I talking about the employees? Not necessarily. Even the patrons are uber grouchmonsters here. See a parking spot? Grab it quick before some jackhole steals it from right in front of you. Will they care that you will be standing right next to them in two minutes? Probably not, because people like that don't tend to think into the future more than five or ten seconds...one of the key reasons their lives are in a constant state of shambles. As far as the workers? A perfect analogy from one of Alan Jackson's songs comes to mind, "...passes like molasses in wintertime..." This so aptly describes the employees. And do they care about doing a good job or helping you? Pretty much no. Mostly because they will never get in trouble for it, no matter what they do short of assaulting you. Well that won't happen anyways since this location has a bullet-proof glass counter. Sadly they pretty much do whatever they want. Ugh! It's not all bad though. There are a few employees who actually want to do a good job and will take the time to help you. Just pray that you run into one of them. Of course you should be nice to both the friendly and unfriendly employees so you can actually get your business done and get the heck out of there! Just wanted to let everyone know -Theres drive by drop boxes on the 213th Street pass the actual parking lot. Saves time and we always use it. I've only went in once a few years ago to renew my passport, it was fine, I didn't have a problem. Not a long wait, the lady that helped me was very accommodating. This post office is really close to my house and that's why it's the one i go to most often. Never thought a post office could suck so many balls until I came to this one. To cut to the chase, this USPS SUCKS! As a poor grad student, I decided to sell some of my textbooks that I never read to make some small pocket money. So when I make a sale, I have to ship the book out. I figured I didn't need delivery confirmation. None of my friends ever had shipping problems with their post office and they never purchased delivery confirmation. Surely, I thought, the Carson post office will not cause my problems. BOOM! The parking is horrible at this location. You have to wait 5 minutes to park your car, and then you have to wait 15 minutes in line to see a clerk. They also do passport services here, so that's one less clerk to help out the line. I've only ever received standard Post Office service here, which is usually considered slightly rude anywhere else. If you'd just like to drop something off in a mailbox, skip the parking and keep driving about 50 yards down 213th. They have some drive-thru bins available where you just drive up, lower you window, and dump your mail into the mailbox -- quite convenient when you just need to drop off small pieces of mail that already have postage. read more

I'm sad. I recently moved out here to Carson from LA and this USPS makes me think about all the bad things I did in life. I'm not here to make a comparison; because really /ALL/ USPS facilities have their faults, but this one in particular makes me super-duper mad and irritated. so far, I been here twice. once to send a package and another to pick up a package. sending the package was a breeze, I'll give them that. it was a pretty easy process and the only complaint I have is on myself, I should always remember to bring a Sharpie and/or pen and remember to get tracking for my packages I send. then again, the person on the other side didn't ask me if I wanted tracking so what the heck!! receiving the package I had for pick up though... was NOT a breeze. this isn't necessarily /this/ USPS's fault, but it took a month to get my package from the Netherlands to here in Carson. I've had packages from there be sent to me many times and this is the longest I had to wait. I also had to wait about 10 minutes at the window because they were looking for it. I'm not a patient person. I thought they lost it, but when I explained that it was wrapped in red wrapping paper, they found it instantaneously. they brought it back and I saw that they totally wrecked my package!! it was supposed to be wrapped neatly, but the wrapping paper was absolutely torn. again, I don't think this is necessarily their fault but next time PLEASE take better care of packages. there was also supposed to be a card attached to it and they totally lost the card... sigh. I also really hate how they are not open on Saturday and past 5 pm. so inconvenient. they also don't pick up their phone when you call their number. even more inconvenient. read more

Package was suppose to be delivered on Saturday. Whoever had my package said they came to the house and tried to deliver it but no one was home. EVERYONE WAS HOME THE WHOLE DAY and they said they left a notice. THERE WAS NO NOTICE TO BE FOUND. Came in today and they don't know where my package is. Really !? I've given this location several tries, however I've yet to have a positive experience. My bar is not that high for the USPS so in all honesty, making me happy wouldn't take much. The line here is long (at least 10 deep) almost very time I come to this location. It seems that time of day doesn't make a difference. I can't seem to find a slow time here. Having an employee who helps customers who need a quick transaction might be helpful - many of the other post offices do this. The staff is very hit or miss. Some are very friendly and some are horribly rude. There is no automates machine or container to drop off larger packages. You must do everything at the window which may the issue here. Going to a different location may be a better idea. I will only come here if I have absolutely no other choice. read more

I went this week and there was a new Hispanic lady Maria that was very helpful; she took the time to explain to an older Asian woman about shipping and helped her repack a box to save on shipping. This P.O is the worst. They lost a CERTIFIED LETTER!!!! unfortunately our street is a TRAINING STREET, and they have lost a plate that they stated was delivered (but I was home and not delivered). Now last week they lost a Certified Letter......fortunately I now get an email of all my mail that is to be delivered daily. So I have a copy of it. Was told they would speak with person on this route......but still no call back.
