This review is for my experience today 6/20/26. Personally, the gentleman that services the front (his name is Jay), was very nice. In fact he's always nice to us when we come in. Very polite, and professional. Best of all he's FAST and very knowledgeable. Fast as in keeping the line going, but not so quick that he's not friendly nor dismissive to any questions or concerns. He knows what he's doing. He was working alone this day and even had a long line out the door but managed to help everyone in a timely manner. Their business hours is a bit different than most places, but I like how convenient it is for me on a Saturday for my small business, as most places close earlier. Highly recommend Mr. Jay. I came here for the first time on a Saturday before closing. They close at 5pm. The only usps near me that closes this late (or is even open) There was a long line, about 7-8 ppl. It's very small here so the line goes outside the usps store. When 5pm hit, one of the girls came outside to make sure no one else tried to get in line. Very unfriendly and not necessarily rude, but when someone says thank you at least acknowledge them. But get it, they're just trying to go home. I'm not sure if the person in the front was new but it literally took over 30min to get out of there. I just needed a label printed. The man handling the front wasn't very friendly either. At all. I usually go to 2 different USPS offices and they are always cordial at least! Not here. Nevertheless, never coming to this location again. read more

This review was supposed to be posted a few years ago, but I just saw it in my drafts unfortunately. Jay helped me and went above and beyond, staying after hours to help me with expediting a passport situation for my close friend's wedding. I came in a panic, and he did everything to help ease my nerves. Because of Jay I was able to make it to my dear friend's wedding. I was turned away when the sign for hours of operation state 10:00-5:00. I got there Tuesday at 2pm. The lady there says she's closing at 2 and turn me away! This Del Amo USPS location is my favorite all bc of Jay. That guy is super helpful and kind. Is straight to the point and dont waste time. Give him a raise. Hours are a bit different so you need to get used to that but the service is great. Sometimes they dont have some stamps I want and would have to go to the main location near wilson park. PLEASE NEVER CLOSE!!! This USPS location displays the highest level of customer service that I have seen in the 4 years I have lived in LA. Unfortunately, My nearest USPS is in Hawthorne/Inglewood, and every single time I go there it has to become an aggressive confrontation, at my expense, for whatever reason that I am inconveniencing them for that day. Felicia was excellent. She mentioned that she's covering for the main office. She measured my oddly-shaped package, a combination of a box and an envelope, which turned out to be 23 by 14 inches and had it ready for three day shipping. I sealed it myself using packing tape. I also purchased two sheets of Ruth stamps (I believe they are $0.68 each now, or are those the special stamps?) and had a wonderful experience. She was the only one on duty and provided great service to all the customers. read more

Went to the Del Amo Mall USPS location on 1/14/25 at 2:20 pm, since it says online that they were open. Turns out there was a sign on a piece of string that was blocking the entrance that said closed for lunch from 2-3pm. I hope that they will update this on their website so that the rest of our community will know about this. Completely wasted my break for this. read more

I had mail out an important letter and I hadn't had physically mail a letter in who knows how long and kinda embarrassed that I didn't remember who's name went where, so when I got to the window I asked and the kind lady helped me out and told me and said that it was a good thing that I asked because most people don't. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. And it takes a lot for me to write a bad review, but after waiting at this post office for 45 minutes because I kindly asked the workers to scan my packages I needed to ship out. I explained that I needed to know which packages I shipped because I had mixed up some orders I am a reseller. They told me wait on the side until all the other customers are done. I did that it took 45 minutes I was patient, he walks over to me starts scanning my packages and says oh none of them will scan sorry. When I ship packages with the same labels every day. He was just upset because I asked him to scan my packages instead of just leave them on the side like he wanted me to. This made them mad so they then made up a lie so they would not have to do it. Now my packages will probably not scan until delivery which in turn pisses people waiting for their packages off. Thanks these two need a manager monitoring them they are just doing whatever they want and none of it is giving quality customer service. read more

I came here on a Saturday afternoon to find that it was closed. I rarely visit the post office but there was a sign that stated that they are closed between 2pm and 3pm. I came in around 2:50pm so I waited around 10min. Then more people arrived as time got closer to 3pm. There was one man operating the post office so I feel bad that he has to work hard. I can't like I seriously can't even with this. Please don't talk to me like an idiot and WATCH your tone of voice when you talk to customers. I will never say don't go to a place but this is it. The guy at the counter was incredibly rude. Ignored us when we initially asked for assistance, even though we were the only customers there. When he finally did talk to us, he had an attitude like he didn't want to help us and talked to us like we were idiots. When I tried to use the regular transparent tape on the counter to secure my label to the package, he told me we had to pay to use it, which we didn't because it was not packing tape, just regular old tape, free for all customers to use. read more

Avoid this location like the plague!! African American clerk by the name of Jay, who usually works there is extremely rude and condescending. Refuses to give you a receipt for dropping off packages. When I inquired about a receipt, he said no receipt paper. I said no problem, I can type in my email on the pin pad and get my receipt emailed. He had no idea this was an option, but this is available at ALL USPS locations. On a more recent occasion, he flat out said "he runs the place himself" and never gives receipts anymore. I informed him that EVERY USPS location provides a receipt upon request. He got very defensive, raising his voice & was extremely rude. He claimed "I know you don't trust me. I know people like you already." I'm not even sure what he was referring to by this, but it was very offensive. I remained calm & polite & informed him I am an online seller and a receipt protects me in the rare occurrence that my package gets lost in the USPS system, (which unfortunately happens to people daily.) He still refused. I ended up taking my packages with me & went to another local USPS where they happily assisted me & provided a receipt no questions asked. I also asked him where their drop box for letters was located and he told me to just hand it to him. At this point, I felt very uncomfortable giving him my letter which has my name and address on there and took it with me as well. Mind you, it was completely empty when I was there. On other past occasions, I have witnessed him shout at other customers as well. No surprise it's empty here now. I would avoid this location at ALL costs. This is coming from me, a person who appreciates the USPS system and employees and who's had a great rapport with my postal workers for years. read more

USPS has given my package to an apartment across the street. The nice girl who assisted me from another location told me my package was delivered and scanned in the mailbox. The location that handled my package first closed my case, then threw to many different employees assisting this package and now is telling me my case is resolved...lied that they called me yesterday which they did not. On top of that the last lady I spoke to for the 90503 USPS location was rude and cut me off, even got aggressive with me. I understand it's hard times and such but when I'm asking for just an ounce of compassion to help me find my package instead I get an angry individual. Supervisor did not want to talk to me and they hung up on me. At this point I can't seem to figure out why they are lying to me and covering up their mistakes. Why tell me you called me when you didn't? Why say my case is resolved then working to get my package your mail person sent to another person across the street? You let my package get stolen or given to someone else and treat me as if I'm annoying them because I paid for my package, vintage item they I cannot ever get back! I ordered from this company twice and never had an issue. Susan and Renita your rude as have no compassion for the customers. This place doesn't deserve any star but it won't let me post the review without the rating. The purpose of my visit is to change address in person. Per, US post office website, you can go to any US post office near you. However, the guy in here makes his own rules and policies and said I should go to the city where I moved to, to get my address changed. He is really good in rejecting people.. he will go out of his way to send you off. He even told me the cross streets of the other US post office. He sent away the person in front of me too. No wonder there's no one in line.. Employees like him is why the government is having a bad reputation. We all have personal problems we deal with.. I hope he is just having a bad day.. there must be a reason why he is acting this way to customers.. for years... if ever you or your family reads this, I hope that you can get through whatever you are going through. read more

When I need to ship something USPS on a Saturday the Del Amo PO is my go to. Great service, convenient location, easy parking.

Never in my life had I thought I'd take precious time out of my jam packed schedule to leave a review for a US post office, but this particular location deserves it. Just to start off, no one should expect great customer service from any USPS office. They're immensely underfunded, understaffed, overworked, etc. BUT with that being said, this office goes out of their way to provide unnecessarily slow and horrible customer service. I legitimately have to assume that I was being trolled here. So I came with a pre printed label and an open package to send out. Call me "spoiled" but I'm used to how every UPS store tapes up my packages nicely without even needing to ask for it. I foolishly expected the same from USPS. So I walk up the counter and see a giant roll of packaging tape on the customer side of the counter next to the pen. Both of which appear to be in obvious placement on the counter for customer use. I think it's fair to say most would assume the same. So I reasonably and politely ask if I could use it. First thing the guy at the counter says, "you can't use our tape, that's proprietary. Gotta buy it yourself." *points to small rolls of packing tape for sale* never mind the careless placement of packing tape on the customer side of the counter if they genuinely cannot afford to let customers use it. Whatever though, I guess. So I bite the bullet and buy the tape so I can finally just get this package out that I've been delaying. As the usps guy rings up both my shipping label and packing tape, I ask him if he could also tape up the box since he has both the box and tape already in his hands. He says, "no, I'm a one man shop, go use the table behind you." Now keep in mind two things: as a torrance resident who normally goes to the Monterey street USPS, this is not normal. One person or not, they still tape up your boxes. Also, the lady who came right before me took forever to choose what service she needed and not one word was said about wasting time or needing to move out of line. So I take the box and tape that I just bought back from the counter guy and walk over to the small standing table behind me, just as he directed. As soon as I get to the table, he calls me back over to move to another table hidden in the back corner for the office. At this point he had to be straight trolling me. I was not in anyone's way and this was completely unnecessary. All of this back and forth jumping through hoops was doing everything except getting the job done and wasting mine and everyone's time waiting in line that had to watch these theatrics. Had he either taped up the box himself or at the very least, let me tape the box myself efficiently, we all would've moved on with our lives. Like I said, he went out of his way to make the process unnecessarily slow. Either leave your packages with UPS since they also accept USPS packages or go to the Torrance Monterey office. Avoid the circus that is this USPS mall office. read more

The downside to this post office is the location, it's hidden tucked away, and it's so empty that when you walk by the staff are not in front, probably busy working in the back, so it's harder to get service instantly to that point. It may be a strategic advantage in that when it's not busy, there's no line and it's easy in and out, but when it is busy, I imagine they have 1 employee servicing a line and all it takes is one customer with a few international packages and a few folks ahead of you and you're waiting for more than 30 mins... so evaluate your time investment here when you arrive. They have PO Boxes but access is probably only during mall hours. I'd not be surprised if, with the renovations of Del Amo that they don't move this out to the outside courtyard (near the AMC area) which is better access and could have less handcuffs to the mall operating hours too, for the PO Boxes and even opening earlier too. read more

Came here on December 13 with a lot of patience, knowing its a busy time of the year. Little did I know it would take more patience than I had in me. Arrived at 1:40 pm and there was only 1 clerk. One stinking worker and a line out the door! To top it off, he was slooowww. I decided to clock this visit, and even took time photos. We did not get to the front until 2:27! That's 45 minutes in line. Unbelievable. Come on! It's peak time for Xmas shipping and the USPS fails in offering quick, efficient service. I was asking for just too much. Appearances do matter. I know the lady after me and I received different treatment based on how we look based on the treatment of the lady in front of me. I'm used to giving the agent the delivery address and them creating a label. When he saw I had no label he handed me a pen. It punched through the paper so he told me I'd have to buy a label to get one. Fair enough but why be so unhelpful about it? Taking into account that you have to enter a large mall to find this location and there are no self service machines make this location a NO RETURN. read more

Horrible attitude of the postal clerks that work at this location. Ever since their former clerks retired; this place has gone down the drain like the rest of the Postal Service. I filed a complaint against this office and no one ever got back to me. They apparently don't care and have no intention of ever improving anything. read more

I just got back from this hidden (to me) gem of a Post office. It is the only one in the area open past 3pm on a Saturday and I was able to mail out a couple of packages with ease and no line. The counter employee was very pleasant. This PO is right next to Coldstone Creamery ice cream. read more

I agree with what the other reviewer said about how 'appearances matter'. In my case, I was treated very differently from people in front and behind me because of a simple request. The employee at the front desk, Eduardo, treated everyone around me normally. However, Eduardo, was rude and impatient to me. When it was my turn I made a simple request to send a package via certified mail rather than priority mail, and he scoffed and rolled his eyes. There are many other 1 star reviews for this branch, and its no wonder why--this branch has employees like Eduardo who lack the right temperament to interact with customers helpfully and respectfully. read more

I used to use this location because the other USPS doesn't scan the package, doesn't give the receipt, and rude customer service. But my decision to come this location was wrong. A worker yelled and screamed at me saying that he was busy and didn't have time to deal with giving the receipt with big F words...... I really have no idea what's so big deal to scan and give the receipt. Because of these guys don't scan, that's why as an eBay seller, I lost so much money and packages because the buyers often think that I didn't ship the item (Because no tracking update without the scan) and opened the disputes. At this point, I don't know what USPS is supposed to do for their customers since they REFUSE their work. I won't return this location no AT ALL. read more
