Work at a manufacturing company and understand that freight companies need to schedule residential deliveries. Because of this I went on the website and set up a delivery for today 03/01 between 3 and 7 pm. I was patiently waiting in the front room and occasionally checking the website for any updates. Then at 6:20 I see an attempted delivery at 6;00 pm. I look at my son and say did I miss something? There was no truck down our street there was no knock on our door and there was absolutely no phone call even though they had my phone number. I call the 800 number and spoke to Angel who said she would try to call the hub. After about 5 minutes or so she came back and said there is nothing she can do...its a 2 man team and one of the team members went home. Wait its only 6:20 and the hub is 1 hour away! How could one team member have gone home when they were barely only 20 mins away? She said we will deliver on Monday...I said wait what? What time 8:00 am. I said I now have to stay home? What happened to Saturday? She said we dont delivery Sat. I said I had the option to pick Sat why not? She said she will get a manager to call me on Sat. I said is that a promise? She said yes she did all she could do and though I was still very frustrated thanked her. I will wait and hope i get that call to resolve the issue tomorrow Sat morning. ************************************************** Well it's Saturday afternoon at 3:00 pm and no manager call in fact no call from any Pilot rep. The young lady on the 800 number was really not an "Angel" even though her name was supposedly. Either that or she was blowing me off as all the bad reviews suggest. Needless to say and to protect myself I rescheduled the delivery to Monday from 9 to 12 and have to rely on a family member to sit at my house for the delivery. Where do I start, Well the automated call to transfer to the "correct" department is horrible. 2nd I was transferred from 1 department to another. 3rd I was placed on hold multiple times and then sent back to the automated machine. I'm using this carrier as our customer's preferred carrier but WOW I'll will never personally use this carrier. I called at 10am & she had an attitude over the phone and I asked to PICK IT UP and she said it was already in the truck and would be delivered between 11-3PM. No one hears about them, until they get some damaged good delivered, or have to wait through a phone calls on hold. Once companies outsourcing their shipping to Pilot discover how bad their freight services are, it's only a matter of time before they go under. My experience after purchasing a fridge from ABT online: 1. Their website is like a used car on the internet. Outdated and the scheduling system is totally unreliable. 2. Two delivery clowns, arrived and hauled the fridge up a flight of stairs. I watched as a brand new fridge on the first floor, became a useless waste or resources on the second (see photo). Who actually picked up in seconds. This Representative informed me that Pilot noted the account that they called and rescheduled with me for 2/10/23. Excuse me, huh say this again ...perhaps I have ear wax build up causing me to not hear clearly. Pilot lied and noted the account that they rescheduled my shipping from 2/9/23 to 2/10/23 with me on 2/7/23 although they scheduled it on 2/6/23. On 2/6/23 Pilot sent me an appointment confirmation via email for pick up 2/9/23. I had my SUP board shipped to the LAX freight hub located at 538 Crenshaw for local pickup. Customer Service confirmed over the phone my board was ready for pickup. I was met by a very friendly and professional team. Receptionist, guard at check-in and shipping/receiving office personnel were extremely friendly, efficient and professional. Warehouse clerk unpacked my board for close inspection before having me sign for receipt and carefully re-packed the paddle board for me. This is just the worst company to deal with. This is my second time ordering flooring from Sam's Club. Their Select Surface Laminate Flooring is great. Last time I ordered the delivery company made an appointment to deliver and I signed for the order. It wasn't quite a pallet and wasn't Pilot Freight, this was to my family's house in San Diego. This order was twice as much. The floors were supposed to arrive Jan 25 and this is a house I am renovating to move into. I was making a trip with stuff to put into the sheds, at night, and find this- 2 pallets just dropped half way in my carport and completely blocking any access to my sheds. I have to climb thru the rocks to get to the sheds. Called Pilot and they told me they would come back and move it but I had to be there 9am- 1pm. I got up early and went over there. Remember this is a house I don't live in yet. They didn't show up. When I called again I was told they don't require signatures or calling the customer and do not return after the item is delivered and I would have to just "deal with it." This is me dealing with it. Complained to Sam's Club and I hope they pull them as a vendor. How you just gonna leave out 4K in flooring out and not call the customer or require a signature? read more

I never write reviews but If I could give zero stars I would. This has been hands down the worst customer service experience I have ever had. We bought a Vizio tv and a warranty. Our tv has been acting up so we were told to contact pilot freight services so we could set up a pick up time. We contacted them December 8 and have tried over 20 times after that. We would stay on hold for over an hour with no luck of getting to speak to ANYONE. This is so unacceptable. Vizio even contacted the pilot service team so request they reach out to us. That was on December 30th it is now January 11th...still haven't heard anything. If you can avoid working with this company I highly advise you look elsewhere. read more

Picked Friday from 11-3pm. Waited until 3pm and no show. Called them and was put on hold for two hours. Finally gave up. Went online to check for status and it changed to 11-7pm. Waited until 8pm and no show. Called the 800 24-hour national line and finally, a live person picked up the call after 30 minutes. She then said to route me to the L.A. branch. This company does not GAF about your shipment. I had no say in choosing them because the company I ordered my bed with likely has a contract with them (or uses them because they are cheap, who knows). Their online appointment system gave me hope that they were organized, but that quickly went out the window when I discovered their tracking info is completely inaccurate. I scheduled my appointment time from 11AM - 3PM. Tracking said my shipment left the facility at 8AM. Great!! When no one arrived by 3:15PM I decided to give them a call. Person on the phone could CARE LESS that I was upset and told me, "Oh, your shipment is coming tomorrow between 9AM - 12PM." After trying to argue (which is pointless with someone who doesn't care about you or their job) I then learned that my shipment didn't even leave the facility. So what's with the bullshit tracking info??? The story doesn't stop there. Remember how I was quoted a new time of 9AM - 12PM? Well, tracking now says it's coming from 11AM - 2PM. Seriously, F*** this company. Lesson learned. As I was finishing this review, the delivery guys came. I must admit that they were SUPER nice and careful. Worst. Delivery. Ever. They gave me a window of delivery for 11-3pm. I asked that they call me so I can pick up my children from school and not miss the delivery. I called at 2:30 for an update. They were running behind and were going to deliver between 4-430pm. I had to have someone else pick up my children. I called them at 5pm. They transferred me to someone who hung up on me...by accident, I assume. Called again, they transferred me to someone who then tried calling the driver while I was on hold. While I was on hold, they hung up on me. I called again and they said it was going to be delivered at 5:30pm. It is now 6pm. I called them two more times AND THEY HUNG UP ON ME. I recently had an item shipped from Dallas/Ft. Worth to Los Angeles, Ca. I was not familiar with Pilot Freight Services, but I am very pleased with their service. My item was packed extremely well and safely. It was a large and heavy item and great care was taken so that it would not be damaged in transit. It took only a few days to transit from Dallas to Los Angeles. Once it arrived in Los Angeles it was delivered to my home promptly and even a little earlier than the scheduled time. Wish I could give this business negative stars. I ordered two pieces of furniture online and the retailer used them to deliver to my home address. Ever step of the process was a disaster. Strike 1: Even though they make you to select a delivery window, they completely ignore it and make the delivery when they feel like. In my case, they decided to deliver my package three days early and gave me a couple hours heads up, which meant giving my boss a last-minute heads up that I need time from work. Strike 2: They only delivered half of my order and said they could not find the second piece. When I called the retailer, they confirmed they sent both pieces so Pilot apparently misplaced the package. Strike 3: After 5 days of radio silence from Pilot about the second part of my package, I decided to cancel it since I was going to be out town for a few weeks. When I called Pilot, they said this would be no problem and they would let me know when they find the package and check in with me before they send it back. They did not. Strike 4: Despite multiple confirmations that they would send back my package once they found it, they delivered it to my home address two weeks later when I was out of town. They did not check in with me as promised and left the package at my front door even though it requires my signature. Worse of all, they left the humongous package in a narrow walkway, creating a fire and safety hazard. Strike 5: I called them back within minutes of them dropping off the package and they told me it might take a week for them to circle back to pick it up! This was an absolute nightmare and I was fortunate that I had a friend who was living to drive across to town, load the package into their pickup truck and keep it for me until I got back. I just don't understand how a professional freight company can be so bad at logistics. If you have the choice, avoid this company like the plague. read more

"Your delivery is between 3 and 7 today, your delivery is the last of the day," she said my town has some narrow streets and if it's too narrow then I need to wait even more days for my new refrigerator from LOWES to get delivered in a smaller truck. This company transports freight for Amazon.com. I am rating them at 1 star, because they do not scan the Amazon Return Label when they receive a returned piece of furniture. This problem leaves the Amazon customer hanging for weeks, unable to receive a refund, because Amazon has no record that the furniture was picked up. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! Pilot was hired by ZLine to drop off and pick up a faulty $3,600 stove and range. With NO notice, they showed up at my home, without masks, without "white gloves" (as was promised by ZLine) and refused to bring the new appliance up one flight of stairs to my kitchen. I own a duplex and live in the top unit. I told them to figure it out with their dispatch and ZLine and after a few phone calls, they just left. They explained they got my shipment that day but had to set up delivery with another company for assembly. Within a week the other company had it & it was delivered 5 days later. I unfortunately ordered something through a different company that uses this for its delivery and not only did my delivery never get here they never called for any status updates. Also, after four days I called them because I was expecting it to show up at our business, she said would you like to schedule a delivery? I said yes; her reply was "no problem". At 5:45 I received a voice mail saying they attempted pick up! It's a lie! Both doors from my home are wide open!!! I called them back a few minutes after the voicemail was left. The worst! Had a delivery window between 3pm and 7pm for a mattress that they completely missed. When I called at 6:30 to check status, they rudely said "we have until 7." When I called back at 7:15, they then had to call driver, and finally called me back at my 7:45 to say driver forgot to pick up my delivery and that they would have to reschedule. They apologized, but offered nothing--just 4 hours down the drain. On top of that, I had requested normal deliver (no white glove) on basis that I had professional movers (at $119/hour) present during delivery window. When I raised this to them and asked for white glove service they said "legally" they couldn't provide for, and that I would only get what I paid for (when I said "I paid for delivery between 3 and 7" the fact that they hadn't provided the service they were contracted to do was completely lost on them). Flip to Friday, rescheduled delivery for 11 to 3. Think they'd make sure delivery they screwed up previously was taken care of...nope. Completely missed the window. This freight company that is AWFUL. They called yesterday to confirm. I have been cooperative with them throughout the entire process. Again, they call at 9:30AM - ON THE DAY OF DELIVERY(!!!!) to inform me that they are cancelling. This is the SECOND TIME this has happened. They did this that last time they were supposed to deliver when the table arrived and was damaged. It is extremely inconvenient and frustrating to ARRANGE MY ENTIRE LIFE AROUND BEING HERE FOR A 4-HR WINDOW IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WORK WEEK and they receive a call DURING THE DELIVERY WINDOW stating that they need to reschedule.
