I have used Yelp for many years and have never written a negative review until now. I was returning an item to a merchant and on their website they gave me the option to use Packagehub or USPS. I selected the first location offered, which was Packagehub, Mail Services Etc located at 2892 N Bellflower Blvd, Long Beach, CA 90815 as it was the nearest to me. The merchant then sent me a scan code to present to Mail Services Etc for the return. When I arrived I had barely gotten in the door when a person who was dressed in some kind of uniform, pounced on me. I wasn't sure if they were some kind security guard or what. They preceded to tell me that I needed to tape up my package so the item wouldn't fall out. I told them I was just following the merchant instructions. They then said that I would have to take it to USPS. I explained that the merchant had sent me to their location for the return and showed them the scan code on my phone. Then another employee emerged and said I would have to take it to USPS and again I explained that the merchant sent me there to process the return and showed them the scan code. That person said, "That's FedEx and we are not a FedEx store!" They kept yelling at me even as I was walking out the door; like a couple of children. When I returned to the car where my husband was waiting I told him what happened and he pointed to the store where it had FedEx signage all over it. When I arrived home I called the merchant and told them what happened and they were shocked. They created a new return to be dropped off at another location and said if that ever happens again to call them from the store that's the problem and they'll take care of it. It's probably better that I went to the other location because they were more professional and I felt the package was processed correctly. I'm not sure what the problem was, but maybe they're not tech savvy? They said they needed a label printed, but the merchant said, "No print out necessary"! If Mail Services Etc isn't doing business with FedEx anymore then they need to removed all FedEx signage from their store and from their website because it's false advertisement. They also need to stop doing business with packagehub. More importantly, they need to be more professional or just retire. read more

Came in a couple times for notary services, and you would have thought you had just asked them to do an illegal drug deal for you! The reviews are correct. The man behind the counter, possibly the owner, is rude. I walked in and asked the price of an envelope. He was behind the counter looking down. Yet, he never looked up to respond to a customer inquiry. I asked the question again and when he finally responded he was curt with his answer. No customer service skills. It's unfortunate that the customer service here is unsatisfactory. I needed a quick print job (20 4x6 color copies front and back) and because this location is in walking distance from my house I decided to give them my business. I walked in and the girl at the counter was on her phone and didn't even acknowledge me. When I asked if they did printing she said "yes but on regular paper only." They didn't have any other heavier paper options. Since the copies I needed were going into plastic acrylic holders I decided to get the copies made. I don't think I'll go back to this location which is unfortunate because I like to support small businesses. read more

Barbie is usually working along with the owners and they are all kind, considerate, and seem to care about each individual customer. Yes, they can get busy on a rare occasion when they have to do Livescans or large orders or shipments are arriving, but that is to be expected. I needed fingerprinting done for church and I looked this place up online. The website states no appointments are necessary and walk-ins are welcome. I walked in at 4:15 - closing is 6:30 pm. The person advised me she doesn't do fingerprinting between 4:00-5:00 pm. NO ONE else was in the room. I told her that information wasn't on the web site and she just looked at me and shrugged her shoulders. I walked out and will take my business elsewhere. Ridiculous. read more

I made an appointment online to have 2 live scan applications processed. This was our interaction. We showed up at the scheduled time and the customer service person said "are you here to have finger printing done" and we said, "yes". Customer service: we don't do finger printing in between 4-5 Me: but we made an appointment online... Customer service: launched into 5 minute rant as to why she can't do it during 4-5pm Me: so do you want us to leave? Customer service: no, but if other people come I'm going to have to help them first We get mid way through my transaction and 2 people come in (1 to ship a package, 1 to buy an envelope) and she stops helping me to assist them. Why on earth accept appointments if you don't honor them? Unbelievably bad customer service plan. Perhaps less talking and less complaining about how you can't do services and more assisting the people that are paying $200 to have a service done with you. Or hire an additional person just to handle appointments? The woman was nice enough and hardworking but was clearly stressed out about appointments. We did get in and out of the appointments in 30 minutes. First and last time customers, unfortunately. read more

I love this facility. The staff are always so helpful and friendly. The owners dog is around behind the desk occasionally. What a big hunk of love. What a great place to go to instead of the post office. They do it all and are very friendly. I've been frequenting this location since they've opened and have never done them justice and wrote a review. Today is the day. First of all, they treat you like family. Small talk is included in their transactions if YOU permit. They know everything about my family. LOL. I used this location to send return items, care packages, mail letters, purchase stamps, make copies, scan items and even do Live Scan. When sending care packages or any type of packages, they give me options of best rates, depending on the time needed to get to it's destination. I used this business for shipping/mail/notary/live scan services for YEARS. Laura was so efficient, fast and knowledgeable. Raj was always helpful as well. Not sure who the new owner is but my family has had two recent unpleasant experiences here so they have lost us as customers. One major problem occurred with a one page document that needed to be notarized. The staff person said they could not fit the stamp or something on the same page and created a second page. The 2-pg document was sent to our attorney and we have been told we have to have it notarized again because it is not a acceptable. So much for getting help from an experienced notary. Will have to pay another fee to a professional notary to handle properly. Thanks for nothing. read more

So, when I first rented my mailbox, all was well. Choose a box, sign the papers, about $100, handed the key, done. Hated the fact that they weren't open on Sundays for mail pick up, but it is what it is. I only retrieved my mail monthly. All was well. Then the faces (mamangement or service, I dunno) changed. With that change, the friendly hellos were lost, as apparently were their understanding of mail policies. I never received the bill they said they put in my box for annual renewal. When I suspected the box rent was due (one month later), my box had been re-rented to someone else. Where was my mail re-routed to? I don't know. How was I notified of the billing? "We put a notice in your box." I'm not sure that ever happened, as I received my other mail, but not yours. Sigh. Sticking with USPS. read more

RUDE, PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE, DISGUSTING CUSTOMER SERVICE. I came to "Mail Services" looking for a package I ordered. I don't know what the lady's name behind the front desk but she was EXTREMELY rude. She had short hair and a rainbow shirt on. Anyway, as soon as I walked in, she was already saying passive aggressive remarks. I was literally still walking to the front desk and was greeted with that. I asked her a lot of questions about the whereabouts of my package but she responded with very snarky remarks. I was already confused about finding my package and she did not make it any better. I literally had to get help from a customer in front of me to figure out where to go next. Used to be good. New ownership bad service. Need something sent USPS after 5pm because Post Office closed at 5pm? Don't go here! Only one person working (not her fault, the owner's fault for not making sure there is adequate staff). Multiple customers there for notary &/or lifescan...nobody to help regular service customers. After waiting more than 30 minutes USPS shows up for their pickup. I spoke up that I wanted my package to leave with USPS. Answer was no! I was a long time customer of this store. (Keyword WAS) returning their 'no' with my 'no' and never again. Found another service provider down the street with multiple staff working. In & out in just a few minutes. I used to come here all the time for fingerprinting. I went yesterday, January 12, 2022, to find out they're under new ownership and awaiting DOJ clearance. I was told they were expecting this to happen in February~ish. If you're looking for Live Scan, I suggest calling first to make sure they are able to do it! Great service from Laura! I called during the week to ask about their services for live scan fingerprinting, passport photos, and UPS shipping. I had a UPS label for an Amazon trade in but did not have a box or shipping materials and it was a bonus that I could get all three of these errands done in one stop. Laura confirmed over the phone she could help with all three and I said I would be in during the weekend. I came in today and when I came up to the counter with my paperwork and items she remembered me from our phone conversation.
