I started coming here during the holidays when I had a bunch of returns via the UPS Happy Returns program (no packaging required; just drop off the product). There are two regular employees: an Asian man and an Asian woman. They're so fast and efficient that I've barely had a chance to chat with them. Today, I returned a pair of boots. I was assuming it was through Happy Returns, so I just put them in a random box without sealing it. It wasn't. But, the Asian woman kindly told me she'd seal the box for me and take care of the rest even though I offered to do it myself, which I should've done anyway. Went there for to make some copies and notarized a document. The guy is really nice but the lady is really rude after we make the copy. The guy said fill it up and sign on the bottom so we did and said it's complete then the lady came and she said you are not supposed to sign you should wait for me so I can see so I told her the guy told us to sign but we can make another copy and sign in front of you and she said no need it's OK for next time. This place is closer to me but I still go to the one in Gardena, on Normandie. I decided to give this spot a try a couple of times. I only do drop offs, nothing else. Everything has been okay until one day I just happened to notice that the weight indicated on my receipt was off. It wasn't a big deal, but as a seller I wanted to make sure this wasn't the weight recorded on their end. My package weighed less than 3 pounds, the receipt indicated 10 pounds. Although I already had a prepaid label, I wanted to make sure so I called the store. The owner picked up. He just said to pay no mind to what the label says and just bypass it. He tried to explain that the scale weight is what they use in-house when customers pay there. Since mine was prepaid, I didn't have to worry about it. He said if any issues arise, to just reach back in the case of an overage or surcharges. I know sometimes the other stores just scan packages on top of the scale or other items that may touch the scale can add weight to it. But I've never really had issues with other stores, meaning the weight indicated on my receipts were always correct. Although the owner was nonchalant and just unbothered with it, my biggest concern is that if their scale is wrong--then what are they charging their customers? Beware of purchasing labels here. Note to customers, perhaps weigh your own items (including the packaging weight) prior to dropping off here or purchasing shipping labels. Even though their scale may have been tampered somehow by mistake, they may need to fix that or make sure it's correct every time. read more

I would leave zero if possible. This location really is the reason why I avoid UPS. There's a lady who always has the worse attitude towards customers. Literally rejects everything. I was trying to return an Amazon package and since it was heavy for me, the tape ripped a little. She saw me struggle, I really needed just one little piece of tape and she tried making me pay for a whole new tape. The package was still packed, literally just a piece of tape less than an inch and she didn't bother to help. This is the closest UPS store to my home so I have used them several times. The notary service is excellent, very thorough and helpful. I used their document shredding service, which is actually provided by Iron Mountain by way of a sealed, secure container. I needed to feed my documents into the container through a small slot. The service is charged by the weight of the papers to be shredded and I had two large bags of docs. Dropping off packages to be shipped is a breeze. The UPS off redondo and normandie never charged me and the one off Albertoni and Main never charged me but here the lady told me there's a fee or I can buy tape. If this is the standard policy then I can follow but because the other locations have wonderful customer service and never charged I guess I expected other locations to be the same. Located off Artesia Blvd in Torrance parking is small and shares with the other businesses in the plaza. Came here to drop off a phone trade in it was all packed up with shipping labels. It was an easy process just handed the package to the person she scanned it and gave me my receipt was in and out in secs. I tried to take pics of the main area inside and the guy came out and said I couldn't take pics of that area so I deleted it in respects to the business. I'm sure others have taken pics and posted it. So I only got one pic of the inside. Most UPS stores are closed on Sundays, but a trusty Yelp search yielded this new location in Torrance to drop off online returns. Well, I was in and out in RECORD TIME! This is literally the worst UPS store I have ever been to. I had an Amazon return with a code. I had two items that I wasn't sure if Amazon wanted me to ship together so I didn't tape an outer box because I had two separate taped boxes inside. The lady was refusing to tape my box and refusing to take my return because it wasn't taped. I explained that the outer box wasn't taped because I didn't know if Amazon was going to put two separate labels on the two separate orders I had inside the box. I've been here several times and the Asian woman who seems to be management is rude and will charge for the smallest amount of tape and just isn't helpful at all. First, let me say I hate writing bad reviews. I held off for a little bit because I really didn't want to write this. I used to love coming to this UPS store. This store is clean, empty and I can usually find parking. They have nice customer service reps for the exception of one girl. She appears to be a Caucasian lady in her twenties or early thirties. She wears glasses and had a very nasty attitude with me. I was trying to return an Amazon package and had the item in the box it was shipped in. I did not realize I had to pack it and return it. When I attempted to put the item back in the box, it would fit if you pushed it in the box tightly. I asked her for tape and she said she would not ship it in that box. She was like there is no way that came in the box don't even try. Amazon would have not delivered it in that box. She was calling me a liar. I said No it came in this box she argued with me and said that there was no way it could have arrived in the box. She wouldn't stop arguing with me. It was very uncomfortable. I had to pay to return the package and I was livid. I would have kept It, packaged it and gone to the UPS store in Gardena but I had to go back to work. Very uncomfortable situation. read more

I routinely go here to mail packages and have been told they will not hold usps packages for the mailman to pick up. Every other ups will do this. Also every time I go on the staff will criticize the way I pack my items and how I use the tape. I have been mailing packages all my life at many ups locations without ever having these issues.
