This is my go to UPS Store in this area. The staff are always friendly, helpful, and provide excellent custmer service. Lines during the day are relatively short during off season. There are always two people at the register and there's a self service machine. Oh and they will take your Amazon refund, no shipping bag required from what Ive experienced. Normally you can find a parking spot as it shares its lot with a few other restaurants. But during busy season (end of the year) and after 5 pm it could be more difficult. read more

This is not a money thing; it's a principle and integrity thing. Charging $2.88 for a single label print is ridiculous when everywhere else including UPS charges under $1. When I inquired if this price had recently gone up, there was no reason for the attitude. Don't treat us all like we don't know any better; some of us like myself own multiple businesses and are highly aware of overhead costs and I still know that's ridiculous. I don't know if he's the manager, partner, or co-owner of the store. It's the same Japanese guy that's been working here for years. The one that acts very snooty. I've been coming here for many years. I normally drop off returns on the podium to the side as I have always been. I was here the other day and set it down and as I was leaving with my back turned--this dude without any greeting snapped and demanded that all drop offs are to be placed next to him. In a condescending tone, I found that to be quite rude. Just a quick command. He didn't say hello, or excuse me. I'm sure if it was an elder person his tone would be different. I turned back around as I was already walking towards the door, grabbed my package and handed it where he wanted it. I turned back around and left. I already had it set down, but to have me walk back and hand it to him? What an a*hole. I've been leaving returns at the same spot for YEARS. With a prepaid label, I never had to get in line, no receipt needed for years. What changed? For a FACT, this dude was on a power trip and was too LAZY to walk and get it himself. It was literally a couple of steps away and was already on my way out the door. This is the same arrogant guy that I spoke with last time to deal with a package issue. That's why I never returned here for awhile. UPS lost my package and I went here just to ask if they were able to help me with any kind of info. Upon kindly asking, this guy was already frustrated looking, and annoyed that I even asked. He immediately got defensive and acted as if I was blaming them when I know it wasn't their fault. I just needed some kind of help because my package was lost or stolen. He began ranting about they're only the shipper and not the carrier etc. Instead of a helpful response, he could have just given me a number to call. But he was more defensive and acted like "oh wells it's not my fault, we have nothing to do with that" type of attitude. Don't worry if you see a line from looking outside. There are four people working inside in a VERY EFFICIENT manner. I was in and out for an Amazon return drop off within 5 minutes, and I started waiting in the line outside of the store. This place is very well kept with clean floor, desk counter. They also provide notary service. Everyone was friendly. If you are here for an Amazon drop-off, just have your QR code ready. I was approached when still in the line. I've been to this UPS Store many, many times and it's been mostly for Amazon returns (though I have dropped off the odd item every now and then for shipping when I've printed the label at home). As such I cannot speak much to their wide array of office services as I've never really used them. What I can comment on is that their quality of service. The staff is always attentive, helpful, cheerful, and quick. The only times I've ever had to wait for an extended period is when the customers before me were not prepared--the customer doesn't understand, the customer brought a checkbook, the customer is arguing about something not related to UPS or their services, the customer is near deaf, etc. Regardless of how difficult a customer is, the service has always been top notch. The store itself is small so I have on rare occassions seen the line go out the door. However, with proper socially distancing and some ppl with big boxes, the line could just be 3 or 4 parties deep and still go out the door. Also there are mailboxes along the wall where the line forms so someone accessing their mailbox may be forcing the line further back too. So if the line looks bad, just be aware that it probably only looks worse than it actually is. Please also note that parking can be a bit of a pain in this parking lot depending on the time of day as this plaza can get very busy as it has a number of restaurants, a Starbucks, and a gym. read more

Love coming to this location, the staff is super helpful and friendly. The location seems to have all the services one would need. Lots of parking too and easy access. They also accept Amazon return which is super helpful and easy. I really enjoy coming here. Only downside that from time to time it's very very packed and they only have 2 registers which slows things down. Fantasic place whenever I have an Amazon item I need to return. It's great when the return instructions say no need to package your item since they'll do it here for you. Just for clarity I'm not saying don't include the packaging the item came in. I'm talking about a separate random box like if you were going to mail it at the post office or someplace else. Also since I don't have a printer I just bring a screenshot of the QR Code on my cell which they scan and give me a receipt afterwards that confirms that I did in fact return the item. It was a young white male who helped me. He said the return needs a label and needs to be in a package. He said you're in luck I have an extra one. I thought that was nice of him. But a few weeks later a got an email from Amazon stating they didn't receive the package, so I ended up with the bill!!! The guy at the UPS when I left never gave me a receipt either. This place is the best. I've had a P.O. Box there for about 2 years. Danny always takes care of me. If he sees me standing in line to get a package and he's already heading back there to grab one for someone else, he'll bring me mine too so I don't need to wait. I considered moving to another P.O. Box in a strip mall with less traffic but the excellent customer service from Danny and everyone else is what's kept me around. I know I won't get that anywhere else. John the owner is very unprofessional and rude to his customers and will berate them just because he doesn't like them. I went to his store and like most people didn't want to engage in lengthy small talk. We're all busy here and I just want to get my work done. I wasn't rude in any way and was polite. All of the small talk is only to get you to be a better customer anyway $$$$. After this incident, every time I come in, he gives me attitude and is looking to do something. He stares at me like he wants to do something. He then comments about a package I received disparagingly. He then shouts at me to hurry up in front of everyone. Next time I come in, he gives me sh1t. The workers here are always really helpful and responsive. I usually come here to drop off my Amazon returns. Every now and again I'll bring the package here but it's supposed to go to Whole Foods - and they'll let me know and explain where the closest one is. Lines move super fast here M-F anytime before 2 pm. Anytime after that you'll have the after work rushes so be prepared to wait a few minutes. Overall this place is A-1! I used to work around DTLA and there's a spot nearby where I'd get this task done. I'm also used to paying about $30 to get anything notarized, but not here. $15, and their Yelp page says they're doing it with an additional 10% off. Whatta deal! People with good reviews here must be co-workers or friends of the store writing partial fake reviews. It's either that or they've never been to other efficient UPS stores. The gentleman cut me off to immediately tell me his store couldn't help with my issue. As I understand that, I feel it would've been better to let me finish explaining and say "I'm sorry you're having this issue! Unfortunately due to us being a UPS store we cannot help with this" or something kind as I'm already frustrated with this company. I came in here today to fax out some documents for one of my financial institutions. The line was long, but the wait was not. They had three employees working today, and they were very attentive to the customers. While two customers were being helped at each register, another employee attended the customers in line. Some didn't even have to wait for a register and were taken care of right then and there. When it was my turn, I told them the number to fax my documents. They had it all squared away within a minute. I gave them my credit card, signed the receipt, and was out the door. My entire wait here was less than five minutes. After my first visit at the UPS Store in Gardena, I knew I'd found my place. The staff here is very friendly. This location is always busy and there is rarely no line. But the line moves quickly. I never spend more than 15 minutes here. John is always extremely helpful. I have to print a large stack of letters once or twice a month. He usually has my work ready or starts it as soon as I walk in. I really appreciate that. I highly recommend this location. read more
