Very glad to have this store in downtown El Segundo. For me, it's about a 10 minute walk from home. Definitely nicer than having to wonder over to PCH to find a place. They have some parking in the back but it's shared with the Mexican restaurant next door. Plus, if the UPS truck is there dropping off or picking up, it can be very tight parking. Free street parking is available but also can be tough to find, especially if you go around lunch. But, there are no meters so you might have to walk a little bit to get there. It pains me to write that things have gone downhill since they hired new staff. Suddenly, there are "issues" with the Amazon scanner or they can't read the tracking number or scan the barcodes. The guys who used to be there were friendly and efficient. Once, I was going to take a return home because I forgot a box and one of the guys gave me an extra box to use saving me another trip. These new girls and guys always look annoyed when you walk in. And their attitudes seem to have impacted the other guys working there because now no one greets you when you walk in anymore and they don't even reciprocate when you say hello and goodbye. What makes this worse is that they made a big mistake with my Amazon return. I emailed them the label to print and the guy printed the wrong label and the return was sent back to the wrong address. When confronted, the guy did not care about his mistake and how much of a hassle it caused. I had to get on the phone with Amazon and now I have a homework assignment to follow up Amazon. Even the Amazon rep was incredulous and said to me, "So, the UPS store made a mistake and they told you to talk to us?" Yes, yes, they did. I will now go out of my way to avoid this location. read more

Something wrong with this place. Constant bad customer service. Today I brought a box that's supposed to go back to AT&T. The guy told me to take it to fedex and they'll accept it. You and I both know I can take it to fedex...or a different ups store and they'll accept it. Another round in the series of negative experiences at this store. Update: why do you guys post that lame corporate "send us an email because we care about you" response? No one likes that. Treat human like humans...and act like you're human. John is such an incredibly rude manager and he was so disrespectful to me and my friend and the workers. He called me and my friend baboons and the bad word for black people. He also refuses to get A/C and I saw someone almost pass out in there the other day. read more

Would rate it zero if i could. Went down here out of my way to pick up my offical documents for some certificates from classes i took for my security licenses and bryan folds them in half and hand me a folded envelope. Has to be the most frustrating thing when you drive 90 min to pick up documents and they are completely ruined by the staff whos in charge of holding them . Such an inconvenience, i have to now wait and reach out to the school to see if they will even make me more documents. I hope to never do business here again. Those documents costed me $250 bucks not counting my time and gas. Just a bunch of kids running this place. Horrible experience. read more

I have had good experiences mailing packages at this location in the past, but the last two times I visited this store, the customer service was terrible. Both times the staff was incredibly rude to me and acted as if helping me mail a basic package was unreasonable. One of the packages I recently mailed was returned to sender and the staff could not provide a valid reason and did not apologize. Life is too short to do business with rude employees! Please train your staff to have some basic courtesy. read more

The QR code for my return did not work and she helped all the way and figured out how to solve the issue without me going back home to print the label. Thank your for your help. I had been dealing with Amazon returns lately and the ease and process in which the ups store helps is pretty great. I know it's a simple procedure now but I had no idea what I was doing and the young man had been kind enough to explain the process. Simple and the returns went smoothly. This place is always busy and the parking is the only thing that is a little tough if it's crowded but other than that the parking the ups store is a great business, they are reasonable. In fact before I used it for Amazon my father needed some business letters sent out the next day and was about to overpay, now any other business would have just said "okay where to?". Here the young man was kind enough to point out if I choose another option it would get there same speed for half the price due to the location was in the same state just few hundred miles away. It was a kind thing to do because my father and I don't really know shipping speeds from UPS as much as we should but the fact they are honest is why I really appreciated the store a lot more. read more

When that package has to get there overnight don't panic this crew will assist you. I arrived 10 minutes before the 5pm shut off right before UPS picks up the last packages of the day. My presentation didn't fit properly in the UPS envelope I had on me, but the young employee came to the rescue with a slightly bigger envelope which was perfect. Needed to get a form notarized STAT! And damn, I'm too far from my go-to, so I had no choice but to come to this one (since it was the closest!) I had a very limited amount of time and unluckily, I had to get this done in the middle of a lunch hour rush in Downtown El Segundo! I already knew parking was gonna be an issue! Luckily, I found parking a block away. Ten minutes later, DONE!!! For $15. (Sure, my other place only cost $10, but desperate times!) And they have parking located at the back... WHAT?! Good to know. It's the worst UPS store ever !!!! I ship big amount of parcels each week. When I tried to drop off 20 boxes and ask the receipt they told me that after 5 box scan it cost $0.25 per box or $0.75 I don't remember exactly. NO ONE UPS STORE NEVER EVER CHARGE SUCH FEES! When I told them that nobody charging such fee, they respond that its owner decision, because it's "TIME CONSUMING" So I give that guys a business but charge me for things that MUST be FREE!!! This review is not intended to cast dispersions on the USPS, but somewhere around 1998, I lost a lot of faith in them and started using a mail service. Fast forward to 2002 and I found myself all alone working in Los Angeles and living in El Segundo, CA. The UPS store, formerly called Mailboxes Etc., is located on Main Street near its intersection with Grand Avenue. The staff there is super friendly, and many of the Mailboxes Etc. employees were kept when the store officially became the UPS Store. They were genuinely happy to have me as a customer and sign me up for a mailbox rental. After a few months, and for my remaining years as a customer, they would often see me walking in and hand me my mail instead of having me open my box and retrieve it. They have a small town mentality and are definitely geared towards personalized customer service. This is a great location to ship packages, receive packages (if you are never home like me) or just receive your mail in a secure environment. They also sell stamps, and make daily mail drops to the post office (next door). However, the El Segundo Post Office can often get crowded, so the UPS Store is a great alternative. Everyone who has a mailbox gets a card key 24 hour access so it doesn't matter what time you want to pick up your boxed mail. Parking can sometimes be a little tricky as there are only a few spots out front. However, there is parking in the rear (behind El Tarasco) or on the side street (Franklin). read more

I'm so disappointed. Brought an iPhone charger and gift card to be sent to Santa Barbara. Was given a brown envelope, paid for postage and left. A week later it was returned sent... the employee who took my envelope after weighing and giving me my receipt didn't actually put any postage on it. Took it back... wasn't charged for the second round, however it's been 3 weeks and the recipient hasn't received the envelope, nor Has it been returned to Me. Waste of money. And awful service. I would have to say that this UPS location struggles with customer service and had a very horrible experience. I sent a package out and was not offered insurance and to my luck my package gets lost/damaged. I contact UPS to try to get the value of my package refunded and am told since I went to a store I had to deal with them. So I contact the store they say oh you are only covered for $100 you should have added insurance. How was I suppose to know I needed insurance if no one even offered it to me the guy at the register even mentioned oh that's a phone device and still did not mention insurance smh that is horrible customer service. I had to take the lost all for carelessness on part of the rep not offering insurance for a package he had a clue was a electronic device... hope they do better!! read more

Unfortunately they were not able to show anywhere that they charge a $10.00 for a hold for pickup fee. When I went into the store they told me of UPS My Choice which offers the free pickup. In reality it was a better choice then having the package stolen, but would have been nice if they were up front about fees and or offered the option pre puckup. Should be more up front or at least have a sign in the store. In the end the manager saw the errors and took care of the issue which made me change my rating. read more

They'll print up your emailed return labels for free (my printer is cursed) and tell you the best shipping rate, even if that rate is USPS. My absolute GO-TO UPS Store. I'm shocked that anyone would go to the post office anymore. Here you can send items via UPS or USPS, and you can drop off your USPS and UPS packages, and they have mailboxes and other shipping supplies, and typically 3 people behind the counter so you always get great service, and service with a smile. So happy they are in my hometown! read more
