This is a clean and reliable venue for all of your packaging and postal needs. I needed stamps and despite they charge a $5 fee, I would rather come here then the USPS since it is always busy with long lines, no service and just a filthy outlet. I know most of the people who work here and they do a great job. As the holidays are upon us, this UPS store is a great place to mail all your cards, gifts and packages. RECOMMEND read more

Finding a UPS drop off proved super awful this evening, tried to figure out where the Panay Way location is but couldn't figure it out. Next I selected the location on Washington, should be easier, there isn't a easily visible sign, had more than a few horns honked at me, feeling super frustrated with it all, because I needed to drop off a failed Amazon purchase... I enter the storefront and was immediately greeted by a happily over the head waving hand of the most delightful representative!!!! (This was my first time going back since that bad customer service incident back in April...) This time was a lot better. The young guys and young ladies working there were nice and helpful. The store was peaceful. No bad energy. I didn't have to deal with any bad treatment, drama, or problems of any kind... Thank you for listening to the feedback, and thank you for treating your customers right! The way it should be. The young man helping me out today (I'm sorry, I didn't get his name) was nice and respectful to me (unlike the girl last time...ugh.) Awful service, a shipper had sent three packages here via UPS to this location a UPS store, costing 270 in shipping. They refused to give them to me unless I gave them 10 dollars per box and ended up charging me 30 dollars because the "owner" had changed its policy. So if I'm hearing this correctly a UPS store regardless of whether it's independently owned or not is charging for getting your package from UPS. Best part this is a per location basis, so basically a greedy business owner. Fresh! read more

Had ups package and send some items to a client out of state. They must package the items to make sure it would be insured incase if an incident. My Client only received one notice before it was returned to UPS store, there is always someone at the home as well. I was never notified of return until i went into location to inquire the where abouts of the package. The package was returned destroyed and I had to pay to have them package and ship again. Each time it was $300 to pack+ ship. I asked to open a claim and checked in with the manager every week for status update on claim. Starting no updates each call. After 3 months I asked for the claim department contact so I could follow up myself regarding claim. I found out they never opened a claim and it was past the 30 days so my dispute was no longer valid and I couldn't dispute it with my cc even. I emailed the owner who was in Europe and took several weeks to get back to me. Stating there was nothing they could do, even after I had explained that their own staff had been lying to me about the claim for 3 months. He offered 10% off my next shipment. It's was the most unpleasant, unprofessional experience and the owner did not care about my situation and feel it was purposely prolonged so that I could not file a claim or dispute on cc. I'm writing this for other people who might encounter this experience with a claim. I would do the claim yourself with UPS directly not thru the store and I would dispute it with your cc immediately The items were also very poorly packaged for the value of the items was expensive and had to pay for additional insurance as well. Since ups locations are individually owned I no longer use this location. read more

This is my go to UPS for all my Amazon returns and mailing in general. It's more expensive than USPS but worth every penny. Store has recently been remodeled. Good parking right in front. Employees are actually happy and helpful, especially one employee in particular named ANTHONY who is a rare find! Store is run efficiently, even if there is a line, due to swift employees who know what they're doing, you won't wait more that a few minutes! I find this store superior to the other UPS stores in the area. Congrats to who ever runs or owns this store. read more

I can't say enough about the care and service provided by the staff at this location. I had to settle an out of state trust. To do so there were multiple legal documents that had to scanned, printed, emailed, copies and mailed on numerous occasions. Aware of the import of this matter, the staff went of their way to handle all of the administrative tasks including, notarization, notification to the attorney via email of the shipment and scanning to his office. The staff will quickly know you by name and retrieve your packages. Just a wonderful place to transact your business! read more

This is my local UPS store. Been coming here for years and service is always easy and great. The old staff was the best, at one point they seemed to have gotten all new staff overnight! Took a while for me to feel like they had it down like the old crew but once they did all was a okay. Even when it's crowded they get through the lines pretty quickly. You might be scratching your head as to how and why any sane individual would give UPS 4 stars. Perhaps I'm feeling a bit generous here as it is a Friday afternoon, but a one phrase answer comes to mind that may strike fear and panic even in the most responsible, OCD type people: United States Postal Service. Yep. Despite the exorbitant cost to ship anything; broken delivery time promises; and the occasional lost or damaged package (I've only experienced 1 lost package thus far) - UPS STILL works for me and leaves their competitor USPS in the dust! In all seriousness, I've only experienced kind, pleasant, efficient customer service at this location - and I have frequented this shop for 11+ years. Efficiency does NOT exist while kindness and helpfulness at USPS are dirty words. I won't go into sordid details. And as I am able walk to this particular store, the UPS convenience for me is unsurpassed. I still get a little antsy wondering if my package will arrive and in one piece - but 99 times out of 100 it does. Those are VERY encouraging odds! The only time a package was lost it was because it was USPS and UPS warned me clearly that they cannot guarantee delivery for USPS. Lesson learned. Someone made out with a year's supply of highly nearsighted, turquoise corrective contact lenses. I'm thinking the recipient of this precious package was highly disappointed upon opening this unique item - maybe they sold it on ebay for a good price. I hope so. Sometimes life is all about expectations. USPS set the bar soooooo low that well, you know. . . I will take what I can get! read more

I've had my box here for more than 20 years. Staff has always been super super helpful, friendly and kind. Yes you pay more than the post office but it's so worth it- time is money and usually there are no lines or not much wait time, staff is warn and friendly and they sign for my packages so I don't have any concerns about stolen mail at my home. Plus I can maintain my privacy so my physical address is never used for anything. . Marlene the manager is so kind and professional. I can't say enough about these folks. read more

I recently had to move about 3000 miles and thus needed to ship a lot of stuff - bulky, heavy, fragile, etc. I would go into detail but that's gonna be boring. Essentially two afternoons in a row I showed up with about 3 hours worth of stuff to ship pretty much completely unprepared and Griselda and Venice were almost too nice about it. I was basically brain dead and worthless and definitely stressed but the UPS store in general didn't add any and might have eased it a bit. As someone who spent probably six hours there over two days the staff have a good rapport with each other which was entertaining - solid distraction from my self inflicted logistical headache. I felt like what I was doing should qualify as some form of torture under some body of law but they didn't seem to mind at all and were great at packing things. Everything came through fine, on time. Boxes beat up but my large PC, monitor, records, turntables, among other fragile items, and a few 50lbs boxes with just random thrown in stuff made it over perfectly. Take it from a person who just spent $3000, solid store. If I still lived in Venice or even LA I would go out of my way to use them after this experience. Was it "expensive?" Not in a relative sense to any other competitor and in my experience of moving like this UPS is less expensive and more reliable. read more

We have been with the UPS Store in Marina del Rey for about 12 years. They are located in a small center that has quite a few other small stores with a very small number of parking spaces. We normally go at off times but if you work and have to go at busy times- it's typical to pull in and have to wait for someone to pull out. Luckily, most move in and out of the stores near the UPS store so your wait is not long. They have been great at what they do-getting and sorting mail and packages. We travel a lot so also have them mail it often-usually at a good price if you are in the contiguous US. We have had good luck with that as well-except the one that was extremely important. We had to have them send mail while living in Hawaii. We were sailing a boat from Hawaii to the US and that mail bundle had a guide for marinas along the California coast if we needed to stop. The person who took (or tried) my information didn't get the address correct despite me spelling it slowly and having him repeat it back. He finally actually got it but sent it to a wrong address. Luckily, it came anyway but was missing the book-the entire reason that we were having it sent. At a very high cost-over $30! They wouldn't give a refund (said they couldn't refund it but would give us a free fee at some point in the future when we send mail again. They did take $5 off the last time we sent mail but we certainly never got the amount we paid to send a book-that wasn't there. The workers they had 10 years ago at UPS store in Marina del Rey were great. They were intelligent, quick and friendly. They always called us by name when we came in to get our mail-we miss them! The workers they have now do not do as good of a job (causing the entire problem above). We are still using the store and they have been ok for the normal processes. But because of a couple bad experiences, I no longer recommend them. read more

I went in today for a notary. The notary was not available. "Can I make an appointment? Brunette woman says "we don't take appointments." Sign states they do. They never answer their phone. Woman states "we are very busy". They were not. Three workers two customers. Most of the people there are great. This person was not professional. Rude in fact! read more

I will not go to this UPS store again. There are many other UPS stores in the marina and I will be sure to go to those instead. I went to the store today to mail an item that was already packaged up but just needed a box. Jessica refused to show me the box until I insisted as she was busy weighing the item and charging me and completing the sale. I had to explain to her that I wanted to see what the packaged item would look like make sure the box is the right size and she displayed nothing but attitude for this request. I went at 6 PM and maybe she was disgruntled that it was the end of the day but I believe that the store is open until seven. She was very unpleasant during the entire transaction and refused to package up the item until I insisted, refused to tell me if packing material was included in the price of the box or if it was separate. I had to pry every little bit of information out of her. Then she entered the information and the whole thing had to be done over again at another register. Wow the honeymoon is over! A year ago I transferred all of my business from FedEx to UPS just because I loved this store so much! Not sure what changed, but I went in to send a package and the guy behind the counter informed me that it would be $3 to print my shipping label! Shocked, I told him I had never been charged that much before (I think maybe it was $1). I told him for a small business that was not sustainable, I had already paid nearly $20 in UPS postage, and $3 to print the label was insane. He rudely said this is the rule, like it or leave it. BEWARE when shipping anything here...WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! I went to this UPS store to ship a laptop to my brother. I had already packed and taped up the box myself at home, so it was ready to be shipped. When I came to the UPS store, the person behind the register measured the package and weighed it in front of me. The package arrived a few days later, and to my surprise and horror, the laptop was missing and only contained packaging material when my brother opened it! I insured the package prior to shipment, but what has been so frustrating is how long it has taken to process and receive my reimbursement check. It has been over 3 months and I still have not received the payment. Every time I call the store, their response has been "the owner has not dropped off the check yet, please check again later in the week." This back and forth dance has been going on forever now. They do not seem to have any sense of accountability and have taken no initiative to follow up with me on this claim. I've emailed the store owner numerous times, and he has yet to respond or reach to me with a definitive ETA on the reimbursement status. I find it quite ironic that he has been responding to Yelp reviews, but not to his actual store emails. I would give this review a 0 out of 5 if I could. read more
