Absolute rip off! Your package will arrive, but the owner will always offer the $16 service even if it could arrive at the same time for $2. Go to the Venice post office 3 blocks down! They get paid hourly, not based on charging $8 for an envelope. There is also a UPS Store a couple blocks away. Know your options and don't waste your money. I've given this place a chance, I really have. And I don't usually leave 1-star reviews but this place deserves it. Every single time I've been here I've regretted not going to the tea UPS store down the street where customer service is excellent. I can't speak for any other staff as I've always had to deal with the same lady - the one that's mentioned in other reviews as well. I've really wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt and that it's maybe a language barrier problem but honestly, no. When you get barked at "What do you want" the minute you set foot in the store before you can even say anything, well that's not how I like to be greeted. And it's downhill from there. She's also tried to charge me more or sell me stuff that's not required to send my package, or, like yesterday, when I had a fully prepaid label for the shipment couldn't find the customer copy and accused me of having removed it already etc etc. I'm out of chances to give them ans will not be coming back but rather walk the few extra steps to the UPS Store and hey, there's a Noah's Bagels right next door - I won't need more incentive ;) read more

My experience buying stamps was so horrible I could not imagine trusting them with a package. I purchased what I thought was a book or twenty stamps and when I got home I realized there was only 10. When I called they said no problem and when I can back they refused to give me what I paid for. So I got 10 stamps for 12 dollars. I will never go back. I went to a competing shipping store to send a rather heavy box and I was quoted $76 then I came to Postal Master and got the same delivery service for $52! Postal Masters in Venice Beach told me that some one in the front desk of a p.o. box could sign at the location and receive it, even though i asked 2 times if he was sure. They told me this to upsell me and double the cost of shipping to send certified. Now that didn't happen and my valuable package is in limbo, waiting for, within 2 weeks, either them to pick up, or I pick it up. Otherwise it returns to sender. Smh. read more

If it was possible to leave No stars, I would! These people are thieves! I brought two packages to be delivered to two separate destinations on Monday Sept 29. One was going to Westchester, CA (which is about 4 miles from my house) and the other package was going to New York. Neither of these packages reached their destination. In hindsight, I should have paid for tracking and/or insurance as they contained hand-made jewelry orders but I didn't insure them. *This not only costs me the hand-made jewelry that was in those packages, it also costs my reputation by orders not getting received. When I spoke to the post office about the packages, the post office said the problem was most likely due to Post Masters because the routes for their delivery would have been completely different and to loose two packages would have been highly unlikely. I entered Post Masters today on Oct 8, I told them that there was a problem with the last two things I sent from their establishment. I live across the street and have used them before. When the girl who was taking my packages (Tabi Lee) was entering them in the computer, I saw the previous transactions under my name so I knew that they had record of these packages. In fact, another time I was there, I asked them to send me the receipt for one of the transactions that they said they would send but didn't, and I saw all the transactions listed. Today, "Moon Soo Now" (his writing is very messy and hard to read so don't know if that is correct spelling) said they couldn't help me and it is "MY Problem" in his words. He was very rude / yelling and would not take any responsibility at all and even said he would sue me..... Really? Him sue me. When I told him that he can see the transactions he said I was crazy. I really don't appreciate having my packages stolen and then be accused of being crazy for asking them to check if the packages were still in their possession. These people should not be in business. DO YOURSELVES A FAVOR AND DON'T GO THERE! read more

I use these guys frequently and think they do a great job. I have never had an issue with packages or customer service. In fact, they went above and beyond when I had to ship over 11 boxes to New York. I truly think that the reason this business gets bad reviews is because it is not "upscale" in a very upscale (and sometimes snooty) neighborhood. It is small family-run business; they don't wear uniforms, they don't have an employee handbook to follow. You know when you see 3 out of 5 stars and you read the reviews some good and some bad. It is a bit unclear is it a bad business, bad employes, bad management, bad owner or is it in fact rotten customers that are to spoiled for their own good? Personally I felt that I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately after 4 months of being a client, and even throughout my tenure as a client I felt that the customer service Is OK, but as somewhat evolved human beings, we can feel negativity without having words to be spoken, Because some people are just ill spirited. One does not necessarily have to say something bad in order to feel that there are negative vibes coming off the person. We can feel through body language, a tone of voice, and small face & eye movements that show you the whole picture of what's underneath the thin wearing mask of that individual. I digress I'm being way too philosophical here. The bottom line is that for me, It is unpleasant to do business and give my money to this store. Frankly I don't want to support such a business. So for you dear reader you have to make a choice what's important for you. There are plenty of businesses that would love to earn you as their client, where for your hard earn money you will receive 5 star service, with a smile, good vibes and positive attitude. Even though this will create a bit of a headache in changing the address with Banks and all other different institutions but I feel strong enough about the mistreatment that I received as a paying client, that i will make this change and urge you to think twice.
