My wife came with her girlfriends before and raved about how good the place was. So the opportunity came up to try it with our friends. Ambiance - clean and bright and modern. There are coolers along a wall with all sorts of canned/bottled drinks. On the other wall is a bar with taps and various drinks with prices according to the size you want written directly in to the subway tile wall! And there are 4 size options - glass, mug, tower, and like gigantic. Ok food-basically, everything was very good except (surprisingly) the marinated Korean fried chicken. Rundown: truffle fries - really good. Ddukbokki was tasty (little soft for me) but had a few pieces of fried Mandoo. The mahsil pizza (the one with the sweet potatoes ring because I had to try it) delicious and reminded me of Pizza Hut supreme toppings. We got the original fried chicken (fka "tong dak" back in the day except this was a whole chicken cut up and then fried) - this was excellent. The marinated wings were just ok mostly because it was smothered in a heavy barbecue sauce which was so thick and cloyingly sweet. But the piece de resistance was the scallion fried chicken. This was tender chicken meat fried in a slightly lighter batter, thin drizzle of a honey mustard like sauce and thinly sliced scallions and greens on top. Epic and not that common (I think). Service was responsive and friendly. Just such a great place for a different kind of chimek experience. Highly recommend. read more

Such a nice place for date night or a group a friends outting. I loved the ambiance, the music wasn't too loud so we could speak normally but the place still gave bar vibes. We got the crispy cheese balls, fish and chips, spicy sautéed chicken, and rose pasta with shrimp (which is different from the jumbo shrimp rose pasta!) The cheese balls were interesting not bad but not my favorite, it was sweet which wasn't expected which is what threw us off but still not terrible. The fish and chips were really good, thought it tasted like the filet-o-fish-fish but crispier and better fish, which is a compliment. It came with fries and they were also very good The pasta was great, creamy rose sauce I loved it. I will be getting it again The spicy chicken was good too, not too spicy and I loved the rice cakes and cheese on top. I visited Mahsil for dinner on Sunday with a friend and we actually had to wait a bit around 6pm. The restaurant size is pretty decent and can fit many customers without it feeling overcrowded. My friend and I each picked a drink from their refrigerator filled with such a good variety of drinks and the prices are listed right on the door, so convenient. They have so many options on the menu, but we ended up ordering the half and half chicken, Sausage Shrimp Pizza with the Golden Crust, and Black Calamari Fries. We ordered the half and half chicken thinking that it was half the chicken and then they would split up half fried and half sweet & spicy, but we didn't realize they only had that option for the whole chicken. This ended up being a lot that we had to take almost half to-go. The chicken was crispy and I liked their sweet & spicy sauce, but I wish the actual meat had a bit more flavor. The black calamari fries was nothing special; it tasted like good crispy calamari and the squid ink is really just for the aesthetics. I enjoyed the pizza and the crust is fluffy and tasted really good, but I wish the sweet potato was either spread throughout the whole pie; I feel like a random ring of sweet potato was random. Really yummy and fast service! We got the calamari fries and it was super crispy. I thought there was going to be actual fries but it was just fried calamari. We also got the Korean chive cheese pizza, which was an instant favorite. The cheese pull was awesome and I loved that the shrimp was also spiced. Nice place to grab a few beers and have some comfort food. They have a large selection of beers you can grab on your own, and an extensive Korean food menu including fried chicken, pizza, and pastas. Prices are a little high but portions are big. We had the clam soup, soy garlic wings, and prawn cream pasta. They were all pretty good! I was excited to try to place with an open mind as there are not too many good options for Korean styled pizza in the neighborhood. My friend and I stopped by on a Friday for lunch back in the summer and my first impression was that I liked the layout of the restaurant. The entire front was open and connected to the outdoor dining tables, which gave it a cool and spacious vibe. We ordered cajun fries, the bulgogi pizza, and the rose pasta (added rice cakes for an additional cost) to share. Maybe because we spent so much time chatting, but the pizza cooled down real quick! Even then, I really enjoyed the flavors of it and loved the crunchy peppers on top. I would get this again whenever I'm craving Korean pizza. A refreshing addition to the Murray Hill Food Alley! I went to Mahsil for an early dinner after perusing the area for some new dining options. We ordered the spicy rice cakes (cheese tteokbokki) and half-and-half chicken wings. The spicy rice cakes felt like a homemade dish, not too spicy or overly sweet. The cheese and the fried seaweed roll tasted great as well. The chicken was fried nicely, juicy on the inside and light and crunchy on the outside. It was on par with Korean fried chicken chain joints around the area. The space is really cool. I love the concept of being able to go ahead and peruse all kinds of beer and other drinks, picking them straight out of the fridge. They had a lot of interesting options on tap as well. It is a great hangout spot with solid food and drink options. Next time, I would love to try the pizzas here. read more

Came with to dinner here on Saturday. We got a table outside right away at 7pm. They have a very open concept with decent outdoor seating. The alcohol selection is huge here. They have so many fridges filled with different brands. Perfect for someone to try whatever they want. The restaurant is more party Atmosphere with music and lights. We got a bunch of time to try. The pizza is a must! The stuff crust is good. They also do a sweet potato crust that we didnt try since the kids prefer cheese. The soy garlic chicken wings were perfectly crunchy and not overly drenched in sauce and super juicy. The appetizer sampler has a little of everything. The rest of the items we ordered were just okay. Could have done without it. The squid ink calamari wasnt anything special and the army stew was just average. We've definitely had better. Can't tell you how excited I was when I heard about this place opening! When it first opened, I stopped by here to try out all the pizza, especially with the golden crust as the crust is made with potato and string cheese. Even tho most ppl come here for the pizza, I think my fav thing here is the pasta. The pasta is pretty good here and they give you a lot of seafood. Their fried chicken is pretty solid as well. I came to Masil because I never got to try Korean style pizza when Pizza Maru was still here and I'm glad I did because it's quite different compared to American pizza. I ordered the medium sausage shrimp pizza with a gold crust ($22), and jumbo prawn rose pasta ($29). The flavors of the sausage shrimp pizza with gold crust paired so well together. The first half of the slice is a combination of the pizza sauce, onions, red peppers, sausage slices, mini shrimps, mozzarella, and chili, then you eventually taste the yam paste combined with it all. Would order again! Whenever I come to a restaurant with rose pasta, I always have to order it because it just feels like comfort food to me and I'm always looking to find the most delicious one. I was pleasantly surprised with how much shrimp was provided in the dish and how they cleaned the waste from the shrimp prior to cooking. They provided enough sauce for me to add more noodles when I got home. It was delicious. I would only subtract a point from them because the price is a little bit expensive compared to portion size. read more

I wasn't sure about all the toppings but decided to go with the bulgogi pizza with golden crust, stir fry gizzard, and squid ink calamari. The food is definitely heavy but tasty. I imagine it would be great to have everything fresh at the restaurant with a beer but we got it for delivery and it was still decent. Bulgogi pizza with golden crust: I was skeptical about the yam topping but it was actually a very tasty combination with the savory sauce and cheese. Will try other pizzas next time to compare! this also reheated very well. Stir fried gizzard: good but nothing special. Squid ink calamari: Not the prettiest dish to look at but it's tasty and unique! The sauce is a must to lighten it and give it that bright contrast. This was my favorite restaurant in Flushing because they have great pizza. But Today's experience was terrible. Really disappointed. I had warned the waitress twice that we needed a larger table because what we ordered would not fit on one table. However, she did not heed our advice and forced three dishes onto one table when it was obvious that they would not fit when they were served. This led to what happened later. While we were eating the pasta, the pizza pad burned, because she put the pizza next to the portable gas stove. This was bound to happen because they were so close together, and it showed that the waiter was very unaware of safety. And the waiter didn't notice the accident, so we had to put out the fire ourselves, and the ashes flew everywhere. And after we call her to come, she did apologize but she said " what do you want me to do?". It's really rude. So we wanted to picked up then go. Then what happened is, she asked me to pick up the fish cake soup by myself. This is understandable if her service was good, but after all these happened, it's not understandable anymore. Also, she didn't change the burned pizza pad, just put it straight to the box. We found out after we got home. Everything I wrote is true, there is cameras in the restaurant, and I highly recommend the boss or the manager to watch the record to see what happened. read more

My friends and I came here on a Friday night. I believe this is a new restaurant so we wanted to give it a try. The korean style pizzas were just okay, it was very thick on the cheese and crust. The hot pizza is actually pretty spicy but maybe my spice tolerance has gotten lower haha. I enjoyed the pork cutlet and the sides were unique: brussel sprouts, salad and potatoes (with a slice of cheddar cheese on top lol). The fish udon had a very good savory broth. The food here is just average. I feel like you would come here more for a drink and hanging out with friends. They had a lot of different beers! Holy cow, and the price tag that comes with it, not bad considering 3-4 people can eat 1 dish alone. The spam fries were super crispy, came with a side of honey mustard and ketchup. I wish they were thinner in size but still very tasty, even the next day as leftover. The black mussel soup was brought out with a tiny stove to keep warm/hot. And a huge ladle, I've never seen anything quite like this setup, I was pretty impressed with the aesthetics and presentation. 1st time here & the staff is friendly. Got the thin crust shrimp pizza w/o sausage. The pizza is decent, good. It's sweet, which I expected. I woud've enjoyed it more if it wasn't. 2 of us did manage to finish it. I asked for no bell peppers to which the server replied "No red pepper?" (says red pepper on the menu under shrimp sausage pizza). I confirmed but they gave me green bell peppers instead, lmfaooooo. My husband and I were craving some pizza for national pizza day and found this little gem. The restaurant was empty when we walked in but we went around 2-3PM so it was a nice intimate moment. They even put on love songs on the radio lol. We got the bbq chicken pizza, 20 pcs wings and sweet cheese balls. Great spot in Flushing to satisfy cravings for Korean pizza, wings, and drinks! Ordered the soy garlic chicken wings, bulgogi and sausage shrimp pizzas, one with cheese and the other with golden (sweet potato) crust - all yummy and was plenty of food for three people to share. The smell is immediately noticeable as you approach. Unsurprisingly, they're is a slight stench of cigarette smoke. (I wouldn't recommend this restaurant for large group or people with kids).
