Needed a thermostat replaced. Thomas came in, replaced the unit in about 30 minutes and everything is working great. Super nice service and also gave us recommendations in regards to maintenance of the AC. What I love about Magik Air was that they're upfront with their cost. None of this, $70 to look at it then we'll tell you how much it will cost. Based on my description they were able to tell that my thermostat needed to be replaced and gave me a very simple flat fee. I knew how much it was going to cost before everything started and I wasn't held hostage post diagnosis like other services I've used before. Great job guys! I'll be calling you back in a year for my maintenance. read more

The guys at Magik air hooked it up. They were the lowest priced and delivered the highest quality. Thanks guys read more

Magik Air - Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC Near Me - Glendale, California

My A/C died sometime Friday in the 114 degree weather. I messaged four companies via Yelp around 10:30pm and Magik Air was the first to respond and the only one to reach out via text message. The following morning I checked in around 9am and they were able to have someone out to me within an hour. The technician, Thomas, was friendly and quick. He had me back up and running in about 15 minutes after replacing a blown capacitor. The whole thing cost me $310. I haven't deal with A/C repairs before so I can't speak to whether that was a good deal or not, but I'm happy with the results. read more

Amazing service. They made it fast and easy for my wife and I to get A/C in our home. Got 4 different opinions and Sam and Thomas were just cool, down to earth folks that were willing to work within my budget. Everybody else gave us the take it or leave it kinda vibe. Didn't feel like I was getting scammed with Sam. Will definitely call them again. If you want great service don't waste you time looking else where. Call these guys read more

I couldn't be more pleased with the service that I received from Magik air. They are reliable, efficient and reasonably priced. I had recently been hung-up by another air conditioning specialist that never showed up. Sam and his crew came to the rescue, and got the job done promptly. Highly recommended! Update July 25, 2018: Regrettably I have to amend my previous 5 star review. In the last 4 days I've placed three calls and one text message to Magik air. They have not responded! I have serious issues with a company that can't take one minute to return a phone call. Customer service appears to be lacking. I hesitate to do business with them again in the future. Use your own judgment. read more

Magik air was amazing. Sam who I believe owns the place is just a genius! He came out to fix my central ac system the same day I called and saved my life! I have a blown control system from my Hvac system overheating due to me needing to charge Freon! Sam gave me great tips, and fixed everything within an hour! He even had all the parts on his truck! Afterwards, he helped me program my nest thermostat and even fixed a coding issue with it! We got new washable air filters and he actually showed us how and where to clean them! Everything was made simple enough even for me to do it! It's 2 days later, and I'm still cooling and my house feels great! No one else wanted to come out same day! Very sincerely, thank you Sam and magik air!!! I will recommend you to everyone I ever see in my life! read more

I called Magik Air due to the heatwave and the a/c unit not working properly at my home. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly Thomas was able to repair the unit and get it up and running. I highly recommend Magik Air! read more

I called Sam on one of these crazy hot days to come out and service our A/C which was not working at all. He said they were so busy but would try to get us an appt. as soon as possible. He text me that night to let me know they had a cancellation the following morning and came out first thing. The guys did good work and Sam went out of his way to follow up and make sure were happy and would be using their services in the future. We definitely will! Thanks Sam! read more

Home Warranty gave me the name of an a/c company to fix my issue. I went on Yelp to read nothing but bad reviews so I called back and said "not gonna happen." After 24 hours, I was given Magik Air as my service provided. The showed 48 hrs later and took care of the issue (low refrigerant / icing of my evaporator coils) and left me "cold" again. Thanks to Junior my air is working better then ever. When they suggested I get on their "annual service" plan I agreed. Nuf said. read more

I called Magik Air to inspect the condenser on my HVAC unit, as my neighbor complained about it making too much noise, perhaps it maybe malfunctioning. Sam first quoted $120 for a service visit, which, in my opinion, is above the standard service charge. Once I explained what I needed, Sam told me they won't charge me for the visit. The technician was knowledgable and show up on time. The unit turned out to be fine. I will definitely hire them in the future for any heating or cooling needs. read more

Magik air was great. Sam was responsive, on time and took excellent care of my family. Most important I felt he was trustworthy. He didn't hard sell us on anything but instead gave us our options and let us make an informed decision. The units they installed are working great and I have no doubt that if that ever changes a simple text would bring him to my front door within minutes to resolve it. Would use again in a heartbeat. Also, his pricing was by far the most competitive and we got multiple quotes. Overall, honest, trustworthy and excellent communication. Doesn't get better than that. Thanks Sam, Kerry read more

Just tried to get ahold of someone through the phone line, they're having phone issues clearly. Just kept saying "hello" repeatedly. When he called me back, said they don't pull permits for mini-split installation, tried to up-sell me Central AC which won't work for this old apartment building (I already know, I've installed mini-splits in the other 3 units across the past 8 years). Sam (the owner) and Richard really took care of us when our fan burnt out during a heat wave this summer. Sam answered on a Sunday even when the shop was closed and made sure somebody came out to see us at the first available opportunity on Monday. They ordered the part we needed and completed the repair exactly as promised. Their communication was great. We really appreciate all of the hard work they do on these hot summer days. Thank you! read more

So here is the situation. It is 90 degree outside and 88 inside, AC stop working. We called Magik Air and they came to save our lives!!! literally save! I was getting hotter and hotter. Magik Air is an honest five star business. Gary is professional, knowledgable in his trade, personable and what I appreciate the most- he takes time to explain exactly what he thinks is best for whatever your situation may be... no questions are dumb! Gary himself comes out to survey the job and fill you in on what he thinks is best, and spends a great deal of his time providing solutions to the problem and gives honest opinions and estimates. He is loyal to his customers, responds to phone calls and completes the job in a very timely manner. No job is too big or too small. As a new homeowner, meeting Gary and having him to count on and trust for any heating or AC issue is a great relief! read more

Magik really came through for me. First American home warranty sent out a contractor (Platinum Repair) who damaged my unit, cut my wires and incorrectly rewired the unit. I called Magik Air and they had someone scheduled to come out ASAP. In fact, they called me and said they had someone in the area that day who finished early! What a nice surprise and a proactive approach to customer service. The tech arrived on time, was knowledgeable and polite. He took me step by step through the process and remedied the situation quickly and competently. I cannot recommend this company enough and I urge you to make them your first call for any hvac needs. read more

Amazing ! Thomas and Sam really saved me. My AC went out this weekend and I had a random AC repair company come out. They pretty much took my $80 and told me I needed $10k for a new system. I frantically called Sam here at Magik Air and he sent Thomas out the next am ! Within secs Thomas said that all I needed was some maintenance and a small part. Within an hour Thomas was done and he has my system ready for the hot valley summer !! I love these guys and I will never go anywhere else!! Thank you so much guys !! read more

I called MagikAir due to a cooling problem in my home. Within 24hrs they were at my house fixing my AC. When the guy showed up he was friendly and clean and fixed it quickly. I called back the next day to ask a question or two about the fix and the man I spoke with took his time explaining everything to me since I was in such a rush the day before so I didn't really ask any questions. I really appreciate the time he took with me, he was very nice and broke it down in simple terms. Good Job MagikAir!!! read more

These guys are great! They came the day I called - which was one of the hottest of the year. Unfortunately our blower motor had to be replaced and they did everything they could to find it, they found it, and installed it the next day. 100 Percent go with these guys! I went with these guys because of there reviews. Sam was incredible. All i can say is, you can see why he gets good Yelp reviews. I don't post much, but when i do, its either really bad ones or really good ones. THIS IS GOOD! i deal with many, many contractors and service personnel. I can honestly say this was a pleasure and pain free. I wish they all could be like Sam. Thanks again read more

Terrific, high-quality service. Gary is great - knows what he's doing, plus he's very pleasant and professional. We would definitely work with him again - and we recommend him very highly! read more

Excellence, superior, skillful technicians and outstanding customer service, defines this company! I spoke to Gary when I called and inquired about a new central A/C system install. We scheduled a time that was convenient for me the following day for an in-home estimate and what system would be the best fit for my house, taking into consideration of building characteristics and issues that would require otherwise. I had several HVAC contractors give me proposals, but, Magic Air stood out from the rest. Gary was very knowledgable, honest, friendly and gave me several options. The price was very fair compared to other contractors, licensed or unlicensed. They proved to be the right choice from the start to finish of the job. Their work was very clean and was completed in the time frame I was told. Now, we have a nice warm house And we are glad we made the right choice! I highly recommend Magik Air! Thanks Gary! You have earned our business for heating and cooling needs in the future and also from family and friends. read more

I am very surprised by the 5-star ratings that Gary and Magik Air have here because that has certainly NOT been my experience with them. Gary initially installed our Trane heating units about five years ago. I wasn't overly impressed with the professionalism of Gary or his crew. At times, it seemed as though there were rushing us into the "deal" they were offering. Fast forward to the current day. After having problems with my unit, I thought to call Gary thinking he'd have the knowledge to address the issue. Instead, Gary charged me for work that didn't solve the problem and then for another service call, only to suggest that it was "human error" as to why the unit was malfunctioning. Junior, who he sent out to "help" us, never did any troubleshooting of basic things like examining the filter. When the issue with the unit persisted and we called him back again, he acted unprofessionally. Not only did he never make an effort to resolve the problem with the unit, but he also did not adequately refund us for the money we had spent with him trying to do so. In the end, we had to call out another HVAC technician to fix the problem with our unit. I suspect that Gary is more of an HVAC salesperson and installer than really having the skills to diagnose and repair problems with units. I was very disappointed with the service I received from him and would not recommend him to others. It has cost me considerable time and money to work with him and my reputation with my tenants has suffered as a result. read more

I honestly can't say enough good things about Sam and the Magik Air team. Sam arrived the day after I placed the call for service and he took the time to answer all of my questions. He noted a number of things about the way that our heating and air conditioning system was set up that caused the system not to be as efficient as it could be. I did not feel pressured to do any of the suggested work and felt that I could trust the recommendations that were being made. We moved forward with the suggested fixes and everything is working perfectly. I will absolutely use Magik Air for all of my service needs and recommend that all others do the same. read more

Simply amazing. There was a huge heat wave, and unfortunately my boss's AC went out. He asked me if I could take care of it. Got on yelp and found this amazing company. Firstly, Gary the man who contacted me was super professional and prompt to get someone out to my employers house. Two, he was extremely patient and understanding when having to deal with me as a middleman. Finally, as mentioned previously there was a heat wave, and because of that there was literally no one willing to do this job because they were too busy. Gary went out of his way to help me and I'm greatly appreciative. This is an honorable guy, and he has all of my future business. read more

My husband was starting to hate mini-splits because he didn't believe anyone could actually install them. Magik Air has changed his mind. Thank you!! read more

This past November I was stuck at home on a Saturday with no air conditioning on a day that was unexpectedly warm. I called several HVAC companies and none of them were interested or willing to come to my house at short notice on the weekend. I got in touch with Gary at Magik Air and he said that while he was busy, he could stop by at the end of his scheduled appointments to help out. He touched bases with me several times during the day and once he arrived, he figured out the problem within a few minutes, had parts in his vehicle and had my air back and running within 30 minutes. He was friendly, professional and very helpful. I highly recommend calling Gary at Magik Air and have given his contact information to several friends since. Thank you Gary. read more
