Happily surprised with the services received. I highly recommend this company for all your HVAC needs.

They are always on time and keep me updated throughout the entire process. They're very responsive, provide pricing quickly and clearly, and always do a thorough and professional job. I've had a great experience working with them and will definitely call them again if I need any HVAC work in the future. Highly recommended! read more

Very good in explaining and replacing my old HVAC system with a new electric AC HVAC system. And responding to air flow issues with another HVAC unit. read more

I recently had So Cal Air replace my entire HVAC system, including both the outdoor unit and the indoor air handler. I could not be happier with the experience. From the initial consultation through installation, Menooa and his team were professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. They also enlarged one of my return air vents to meet the higher airflow needs of the new HVAC system. The work required widening the opening in the ceiling and installing a new return grille. The crew handled it neatly and professionally. When they finished, it looked like new. The new system is working great, airflow is noticeably improved, and the entire project was completed fast and as promised. It's not often that a major home improvement project goes this smoothly. I would recommend So Cal Air to anyone looking for HVAC installation or replacement. read more

I have been having issues with my HVAC for years, where there has been a musty smell, despite an annual maintenance being in place. So I decided to try a different company for this maintenance. The experience was beyond what I expected. The appointment was made with ease and all my questions were answered with patience and clarity. Robert came to do an inspection and showed me photos of the state of my system. There were areas that had clearly not been cleaned properly previously. He did a thorough inspection, and cleaning and went above and beyond. He was knowledgeable, respectful and his work ethic was excellent. I could smell the difference for the first time in years and the house finally no longer had a musty smell. It smells fresh and clean. I can't say how grateful I am. Thank you So Cal Air and THANK YOU, Robert!!! read more

I had four different companies come out to provide estimates for branching off an existing HVAC system to add a new supply vent to an interior room. Robert handled the initial evaluation and was very thorough and professional. Although So Cal Air's estimate was not the cheapest, it was the most comprehensive--including drywall patching and painting--which ultimately made me feel the most comfortable moving forward with them. Other companies either tried to upsell me on a UV lighting system or suggested opening up the entire hallway ceiling, which felt excessive for the scope of work. After accepting the estimate, there was a delay of over two weeks before I was contacted to schedule the service, and I do think communication during that time could have been improved. That said, once they reached out, they were able to schedule the work for the very next day. Victor and his crew were professional and efficient, completing the job in about half a day. They left the space clean, and the overall quality of work met my expectations. Thank you, So Cal Air! read more

I hired So Cal Air to change my thermostat to a smart thermostat. Robert was my technician and he did a great job! He was very knowledgeable, had the thermostat installed promptly and even checked on my entire hvac system to make sure everything was working properly. The price was very reasonable as well. I was very happy with the service. read more

Great service, fast and friendly. 5 stars! Have used them for 4 different projects including standard interior ac repair, mini split install, full house HVAC replacement (my in-laws house) and exterior condenser repair. read more

Honestly, I'm blown away. After being manipulated by up-selling liars on previous routine service calls for a fairly new HVAC system, So Cal Air is truly a breath of fresh air. You can feel the difference the minute they set foot on your property. No hidden agendas, nothing but an honest assessment with photos and videos to back up all findings and all work. Great value too. Look no further. From now on, no one touches my HVAC except So Cal Air! read more

Really happy with their service. Was able to easily schedule an appt when I called, they were able to give me an appt within a couple days and I appreciated the estimated time window update texts (which they actually stuck to!). Arshen was so great - so nice & helpful, he explained things to me & really went out of his way help us figure out the root of this issue that ended up not even being related to the hvac system. I felt really comfortable with Arshen in our home & the cost for the visit was very reasonable! Thank you Arshen! read more

We just moved into a rental house with central air and the motor for the unit broke this week in the middle of a heat wave. I was so worried because the tech who usually services the unit was out of town and I didn't know who to call. I found this company on yelp and they showed up within the hour and squeezed us in on one of the hottest days of the year. The unit was fully repaired and working again as soon as possible that day and we had ac again. It was such a lifesaver. Forever grateful to the whole team. read more

Amazingly responsive and communicative during an emergency, highly recommend! They've kept our 25+ year central AC operating much longer than it should have and we will be using them to replace it soon. read more

Robert was fantastic! He took the time to explain what my system needed and why, and even showed me before and after photos so I could see the difference. While the service cost more than I expected, he was transparent and thorough and answered all my questions. He was kind, professional, and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire visit. I love supporting a family-owned business. I can't wait till some one asks me for a quality HVAC company so I can recommend Robert! read more

Highly recommended. They are very professional, arrive on time, extremely polite and do a very thorough job. Robert came to repair my 15 yr condo HVAC and walked me through all of the repair procedures that he was taking. He was very conscious of my expenses and avoided unnecessary procedures/costs. Air quality affects your health more than people realize, and getting your vents cleaned is something everyone should take VERY seriously. ( it causes so many underlying health problems it's insane ) I had them come in for a DEEP vent cleaning for our new apartment, and they went beyond what I expected, Fully disinfecting everyyyyything. ( you can see how gross it was before ) The difference is really incredible. Can't recommend enough. Genuinely worth every penny. read more

I had very good experiences with So Cal Air and definitely recommend them. Both the business and the construction parts of the job went smoothly. Communication was good. They helped me understand options and worked with me on what I wanted. They did what they said they would do. They were flexible and took the time to finesse the work where it was needed. Good quality work. Permits went fine, and everything passed the first time. My 1930 property has a 2-story duplex and a house. I live in one unit and have renters in the other units. I talked to several companies about the work. So Cal Air was more responsive than other companies. Menooa was very knowledgeable and helpful during the first meeting, offering me options. Their proposal was competitive with other proposals. They helped me understand options and were flexible, and worked with me through the installation of what I wanted. They installed 3 separate systems for me, one system for each unit. Each system had 3 zones. I've had many repairs to my property over the years, and the details matter to me. I wanted to hide the lines as much as practical, preserve the architectural look. My contractor handled the electrical installation and opened and repaired the drywall after the lines were installed. SoCal Air worked well with my contractor. Renovation of older construction is often complicated and takes extra effort. We had to come up with some creative solutions, and SoCal Air did a great job! My units were installed above doors and windows. My contractor modified the living room cove ceilings so the indoor units would fit close to the ceiling. So Cal Air did everything else. Everything fits great and looks great! I appreciated that Manooa gave good recommendations to steer me away from difficulties, but he also listened to me and headed my wishes when it mattered to me. So Cal Air handled the permits for the heat pumps. The installation passed the LA Building and Safety inspections with no issues. The work was finished late summer, early fall of 2025, after the heat, but in time for winter. Heating worked great in winter. We had a chance to use the cooling during a recent heat wave, and it worked great! I bought the heat pumps primarily for cooling, since the apartments had only heating and had never had cooling before. The units work great! The temperature stays very comfortable. Everything is very quiet. I barely know they are on, except when I open the door and am shocked by how hot it is outside. My tenants gave me positive feedback and have been very happy with the heat pumps. My property still looks like 1930, but it doesn't feel like 1930 anymore! I am very happy with their work and the results. I've recommended So Cal Air to several friends. read more

So Cal Air was able to come out the same-day to try and diagnose a sour gym bag type smell that was happening only during the cooling cycle. After examining the evaporator coil, drain pan, and other parts, which were all relatively new and clean, they suggested using an hvac odor neutralizer, which immediately took away the smell and per my indoor air quality monitor does not appear to be having any negative impact on the air quality (PM or VOCs). They made additional suggestions to ensure no lingering issues, but I'm posting now for the great customer service, effort to come out quickly, answering all of our plentiful questions, and providing a solution that made an immediate and dramatic improvement. read more

So Cal recently replaced my entire HVAC system. I went from a leaking compressor and 35+ year old furnace to a ducted heat pump. So Cal was very quick to respond and tackle the work. Menooa and his team are extremely professional, knowledgable and simply a peasure to work with. They are also helping me with rebates and suggested some easy financing. Finding reliable contractors can be a struggle - not this team. I highly recommend So Cal Air and am thrilled with the outcome. read more

Had a great experience with using So Cal Air for the first time. We found - to our horror - an old, leaking battery in an air duct in our home. We did some of our own cleanup, but wanted to make sure that everything was properly taken care of. So Cal Air responded quickly to my inquiry and came out two days later to assess. They found no damage, luckily, and did a thorough cleaning. The whole process was quick, the communication was great, and I feel at ease about using my air duct again. I'd definitely call them again if an issue with my AC or heating arises in the future! read more

SoCal Air was the right company for us in Valley Glen! They removed our old rooftop system and replaced it with a new more powerful heat pump HVAC system with new, larger ducts to deliver the central air system we were craving. And Menooa and his team did it at the best price we found after getting several reputable local companies to come by to give us their estimate. We love the American Standard system SoCal Air installed...and best of all, the rebates made available to us as a result! Menooa was there to explain it all. Great service! Great company! read more

Replacing 12-15 year old rooftop HVAC. Obtained estimates from 5 companies total. All were in the same price range for installation. Gas/electric split or heat pump, with the lowest end was around $13,000 from all of them. So Cal Air offered the best unit at that price, a heat-pump American Standard, and importantly, they were the only company to offer a 15 SEER2 efficient unit that is eligible for the federal $2000 rebate. They also cleaned all the ducts (only one other offered this included), rebuilt the stand/curb, and installed a new Nest thermostat. So Cal Air Owner Menooa was the most thorough of the free estimates , and the only company to actually look at why the old HVAC needed to be replaced. Initially he thought he could fix the original system. This was preferable as the cost was one tenth the price of replacement, and could be done immediately. He did the work and unfortunately missed the original problem, and the HVAC broke again within a week. This was inconvenient for me, but I appreciated Menooa acknowledging the mistake and immediately refunding the entire cost of repair without question. His honesty added to my confidence hiring them to do the larger HVAC replacement. A couple months later, heat is working well and very satisfied overall. read more

I was in dire straits as my AC broke down during a muggy heatwave and our home became extremely uncomfortable. I called a different HVAC company initially, but they only took a message. I pivoted to So Cal Air and they were able to give me a same-day appointment. Arshin, the technician, arrived at the early part of the appointment window. After checking a few things, Arshen was able to identify the issues and replaced the malfunctioning capacitor and fuses. Within 30 or so minutes, he was able to get cool air flowing into the house again...HALLELUJAH! He patiently answered multiple questions, and he also provided his technical insights and expertise on other HVAC-related queries. I've never had HVAC service done on my 15-year old unit, so I can't say for certain how fair the pricing was. Still, given how desperate I was to get my AC working again, I was happy to pay for his services. A big thumbs up to So Cal Air and especially Arshen, for coming to my aid! read more

Menooa was the only HVAC contractor to offer us a practical and accessibly priced solution to an substandard air conditioning installation, and a mini-split installation. The mini-split installation was fast and clean. Excellent unit and the office helped me immediately get a City of Glendale rebate. The whole system, from wiring to the condenser unit was professionally installed and virtually out of sight. After the installation you'd never know any work was done! Staff was courteous and very mindful of the house, garage and surroundings. Time will tell on our central AC correction, but I'm confident it will make a difference and we're glad Menooa proposed a sensible solution. Excellent communication all along the way, immediate replies from the office, and most importantly, quality work. read more

One of the best experiences I've ever had with any trade company, period. Quick backstory: I had been using another company for years to service my old HVAC system, so I gave them the first shot at quoting a replacement. I had learned about the HEEHRA rebates through them and wanted to switch to a heat pump. But when they came out, they basically told me they didn't want to deal with the HEEHRA process, the state paperwork, or any of the extra steps involved. Their answer was essentially: if that's the route you want to go, you need to find someone else. That led me to So Cal Air, and I'm very glad it did. From the start, the customer service was outstanding. Talin was incredible -- responsive, patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. She walked me through the entire rebate process, not just with the state, but with LADWP as well, and made what could have been a confusing, frustrating process feel easy. Even better, they handled the submission process for me, which was a huge relief. Menooa came out to assess the house, recommend the right system, and give me a quote. He was honest, straightforward, and there was absolutely no upsell. He recommended what made sense for the house, made sure all the requirements were met for the rebates, and came in about $10,000 lower than the other quotes I had received. The installation team was equally impressive -- courteous, on time, professional, clean, and respectful of the house. They even left my attic cleaner than they found it, which honestly says a lot. And the best part: just four weeks later, I already have my rebate check in hand. So Cal Air is hands down the best HVAC company I've dealt with. If you are considering a heat pump, dealing with rebates, or just want an honest company that does excellent work and actually follows through, I cannot recommend them highly enough. read more
