Vardan was recommended to me by my brother and he did an excellent job, along with his apprentice, Mason. They replaced my broken AC and thermostat with brand new units and it's great to be cool again. The entire job took about 6 hours and they were extremely professional and courteous, placing cloth on the ground to avoid tracking dirt in the house. 10/10 would recommend to anybody with HVAC issues. read more

I requested an emergency air conditioning fix and he came out very quickly. He diagnosed the issue and fixed it on the spot. He recommended a quick fix for cheap and also offered the real fix, but didn't force the more expensive option. I'm definitely calling him again in the future! read more

Mini split unit leaking water in the middle of an LA heatwave. Vartan was great. He was really meticulous in explaining what he was checking for, quickly was able to diagnose and fix the issue. My HVAC had what looked like mold after my HOA's HVAC technician said it looked like it was caused by the Aroma360 scenting diffuser, for failure for the oil to diffuse, causing a water blockage and mold. I created a Yelp project and this company responded over the weekend and came out first thing Monday morning and cleaned it for the best price!! They were reliable, efficient, and cost-effective! I would definitely use them again. Thank you! read more

A/C Unit replacement. It is march 2026 and the temperature has jumped up to the 90's we tried to turn on the air conditioner and nothing came out except hot air. I reached out to Pac West Heating and Air Conditioning he came out the next day to hopefully get it going, and nothing the unit is old and needs to be replaced I said oh sh--. Luckily Vardan the owner of Pac-West was able to find a unit and a crane to come out that day and change the unit. I had cold air in my condominium that night. Vardan stayed late to finish the job all by himself. He went above and beyond anyone could ask for amazing service and support from start to finish. Thank You Vardan very much for your hard work. read more

Our AC stopped late at night before bed. We woke in the morning with dread, knowing we had to suffer through a heatwave because getting help in times like this is nearly impossible. We couldn't believe our luck when we called and Vardan said he was in the area and could stop by to check it out. He arrived exactly when he said he would, and found that our motor was out. He gave us options to repair the unit but we wanted to replace it. We were nervous because something like that would surely take days and we had to suffer in the heat. To our surprise and elation, he said he may be able to do it today if he can get the unit. Well, long story short, he picked up a new unit and came and installed it within hours. He was communicative and kept us posted throughout the whole thing. I cannot believe we got a new unit in a day. He was AMAZING! I can't remember the last time we experienced such professionalism and service like that. I'm just in awe. Thank you. read more

Vardan is THE MAN! my AC broke during a heat wave. Other HVAC companies I called couldn't send a tech for several days. A friend told me about pac-west and they were here same day, diagnosed and fixed my issue in just a few minutes and at a very fair price. I will for sure be calling them first for all of my future HVAC needs. read more

Incredible! I never expected an HVAC installation to come with so much expertise and genuine care and consideration for the work, but Vartan blew us away. It wasn't just the installation of a new AC, or the wise tip to keep the Nest thermostats off the wall during remodeling to keep them from being filled with dust. Check this out -- Shortly after we began using it, the AC was not working. I texted Vartan to ask what we should do. It was Friday night around 9pm, and not only did he answer, this dude CAME to the house to check it out. He figured out that another contractor had done something stupid, and he fixed it, and he didn't charge us extra. If you want service that goes above and beyond, and from someone who really understands and is willing to debug the most complex problems, Vartan is your guy. read more

During the heatwave in March, my AC wasn't cooling the house, it would blow all day and take hours to decrease the temp a couple degrees. I found Pac-West on Yelp with great reviews, called and Vartan answered immediately, met me at my house within an hour (he was in the area), troubleshooted the unit, fixed it and was reasonable in price for a last minute service call. I'm so lucky to have found this company! When my AC unit broke this week I was frantically searching for an HVAC service company to come to my house to repair it. I did an extensive search of local companies and I landed on Pac-West based on the reviews. Vartan the owner definitely lived up to his reputation. He was very quick to respond, professional and thorough. His rates were more than fair compared to others who seemed very overpriced. The job was done very efficiently and my AC has not given me any trouble since his repair. I hope I never have any issues again but if I do I know exactly who to call! read more

Called first thing on a chilly Monday morning due to a faulty HVAC system. We suddenly weren't getting any heat. Pac-West owner Vardan arrived within the hour: Examined the HVAC system, discovered the issue, cleaned-up around the area, lowered our pilot flame (which he said was too high) then proceeded to clean-out our 2 filters. He did all that in under 30 minutes and was on his way. Expedient, courteous, professional, fairly priced & a super nice guy. Pac-West is now added to the phone list for all of our A/C-HVAC needs! Thanks, Vardan! read more

Highly highly recommend Pac-West! Have had numerous AC and heating issues in our home over the years and Pac-West has always proven to be the quickest and most affordable option. Not to mention super thorough and helpful in explaining the problems and suggesting the most efficient ways to fix them. We recently had our outdoor AC unit fail and needed a fast installation of a replacement as the summer heat was rapidly approaching. Pac-West was extremely fast in responding and being available to replace with an even better unit as investment for the future. Not to mention their price was lower compared to competitors. Pac-West is the best! Vardan excels at everything - professional, super quality work, gets back to you in a timely manner, provides quotes (and importantly a written invoice at the end), and is very nice to work with. At my home, and also in a rental unit, he has fixed an older mini-split HVAC unit, and just recently he completed replaced a dead unit. I recently had Pac-West replace an old & damaged HVAC unit for our place and I'm very pleased with Vardan's work. Even though there were some obstacles he had to deal with (small closet space for the unit), he made some innovative changes that worked out perfectly. He got everything done quickly and even came back the next day to change out the vent that we had, to one that pulls out so that we could change the filters a lot easier. Great honest guy and fair pricing. read more

After shopping for estimates and receiving outrageous prices with unnecessary work, I gave Pac-West a call and they had someone over the next day to check out my system. Very positive experience with Pac-West. I had the roof unit on my house die on a hot day and they were very upfront about the options to fix it (as they have been in the past). I opted to replace the unit, which required hiring a crane and removing two broken units. In a matter of hours, they had the crane at my house and we had AC working again before dinner. I was expecting to be without it for at least a week but Pac-West moved very quickly. The cost of replacing an AC unit is always painful but I didn't feel like I was being upsold at all and the speed and quality of the work was unmatched. I can't imagine ever calling anyone else for any HVAC service...these guys were great. read more

Criminal. Quoted $1200 for a $90 part and 15 min of labor, then billed me $140 for the 20 min it took him to write up his invoice. Don't be fooled by the other positive reviews here, he would've happily billed me an effectively $4k hourly rate for his labor had I not taken the time to research the job more after his quote came in. Untrustworthy - take your business somewhere else. read more

Pac-West repaired my AC on 9/7/20 and replaced the capacitor on the condenser. However, 9 months later, the AC stopped working again due to the same issue. I hired a different AC technician this time (on 6/4/21) and they said that the capacitor that was replaced 9 months ago was the wrong size and failed early due to this. While Pac-West did repair the AC temporarily, they used the incorrectly sized part which caused it to fail early and be replaced again in 9 months. read more

I have had several great experiences with them and today they went above and beyond. He worked for nearly 4 hours to find the one wire that was shorting out my AC unit. Really solid service from Vart(d?)an and his co-worker. Prompt, clean, efficient, and clearly not out to "get" you.
