I recently sent them another message, this time via Yelp communication, i can see the message was read but no responses. Sent another one, but it seems that they ignored this. I know my HVAC have warranties and I'm just asking them to confirm it. Got a correspondence from him and fixed the issue. Sevan stated that his office work number doesn't work. read more

VT Heating & Air Conditioning - Communication with the company which took more than 3 weeks based on their promised date of installation. - Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC Near Me - La Crescenta, California

I am shocked that my review might be the only 1-star rating, for which Yelp may remove it as fraudulent. The only reason I want to quote with VT was their 5-star rating, but not only that, but proof positive that they showed up on time for the job review/quote and quoted me on time within a day. However, delay after delay to provide us an installation date, upon excuses of unavailable stock from the vendor, running a large job now and we don't have manpower to do yours, and then total silence. We were GHOSTED! Ultimately and unfortunately, had to go with another vendor, which did charge me $3K more than VT's quote; so, my guess is that they had low-bid by mistake and rather than fessing up to it and asking for more money, they just ignored our calls. I see you do respond to yelp messages, and you might very well know this job I'm referring to here. What excuse do you have? I'm sorry, but this deserves a 2-star. read more

Heater all the sudden stopped working... right after Christmas. Called VT Heating (used them 3+ years ago when living in condo). Came over and was able to diagnose and fix problem quickly. Fortunately they had replacement part in truck! Very impressed by the continued professionalism and customer service 3 years later. My go to team for any future heating or air issues. read more

Our home's AC unit was not cooling or heating after being off for over a year due to a lengthy remodel. After making a few calls to A/C companies in my area telling me they have minimum amounts they charge to visit customer's homes, I broadened the results and VT Heating & AC was one of the top results on Yelp. I ended up speaking to Sevan and was able to schedule an appointment for a technician to come check out the problem. The tech mentioned it could be a few things and started to diagnose/troubleshoot my system. Both the furnace & condenser were only 3 years old but it had been sitting unused for a year. In less than an hour, everything was tuned up & running in perfect shape. I even had a new smart thermostat I wanted installed & they swapped it out in just a few minutes. Best of all, the price for everything was LESS than the insane "minimums" some of the other companies mentioned. I'm very thankful for the service VT provided as the weather in LA has gone from crazy cold to crazy hot, and now I can finally turn my A/C or heater on without any worries. I hope I never run into any issues HVAC issues again, but if I do, VT will be my number 1 call. read more

Sevan came out same day when our AC started leaking through our ceiling in the recent heat wave. He diagnosed the problem quickly and was very knowledgeable, answering all my questions about our aging Amana unit. Our fix was done in an hour and we were back to cool air in a week that's been 103+. When the hot summer is over I'll be replacing the unit completely and I like Sevan's plan for doing it. Excellent, fast service, I highly recommend them. And he was careful about masks and social distancing which I really appreciated. Thanks!! read more

VT installed our AC unit about 4 years ago. Service was good enough, but I also remember having trouble getting a hold of them back then. Now I've been trying to get in touch with them to help with a thermostat replacement. No one answers the phone. I've left 3 voicemails and have not had a single call back. read more

Sevan at VT Heating & Air Conditioning was responsive and professional from moment I requested a quote on YELP for maintenance service of my heating & ac. He was the first company to respond and his follow up was instantaneous. His quote was quite reasonable also. We scheduled within a few days time. He called the morning of my service and gave me a half hour window time frame in which he would be arriving. Sevan was punctual. He wore a mask, which I appreciated. His work ethic was impeccable. He came across honest and professional in his explanation of my cooling and heating system. I am happy to have found a great company to complete any maintenance in the future. Hire this Company! You won't be disappointed. read more

This is a different kind of post. First of all I would highly recommend Sevan. Just based on how he does business I would stick with his service for life. Super friendly and super knowledgeable. He came out the next day to give me an estimate and diagnostic of my problem and he provided a short-term and long-term solution. read more

AC Died. Tried the usual stuff, getting the filters swapped, easy cleaning. Nothing. I run hot so I was frantically searching for help to get someone out here. VT was first to respond on yelp, had the best price for consultation and scheduled me for the next day. The technician showed up early, super professional and friendly. Diagnosed the problem in 3 minutes and explained what was going on and how he was going to fix it. If you're looking for the TLDR version, look no further. Go with VT. They're responsive, professional and get it done. read more

Responded immediately to a global request for help. Fixed my poor Nest thermostat install and also noticed that the condensation pump in our new (old) home was broken so was able to replace on the spot and save us a costly flood situation! Pricing was fair & I will definitely be bookmarking for future calls. read more

I had these guys work on my A/C this past August. Was happy with their service then; I am beyond happy with their service now. I called them back again to help with my furnace. In addition, I called 2 other companies. I will no longer waste my time with any other HVAC company. The other two companies were scheduled first. They each wanted to charge $129 just to come out. I was willing to pay this since I assumed it would be quality work. My mistake. The first company came by, looked at the furnace and said it was too old and installed improperly, which prevented them from working on it. They left and did nothing. Said we should upgrade the entire unit. The second company came by, took a part out (dropped 4 screws during the process), struggled to get it back in, then told me they couldn't fix it and the whole unit needed to be replaced. The only good part is neither company charged me the $129 since they didn't really do anything. After having two companies basically tell me the same thing, I called Sevan at VT and told him to cancel our appointment since I didn't want to waste his time. I just assumed he would come by and give me the same diagnosis. I explained to him why I was cancelling, to which he replied that it sounded like it could be the circuit board. He also added they could get circuit boards to just about any furnace (even if it was older). So I kept the appointment. So glad I did! They came by on Tuesday, confirmed it was the circuit board, and was able to order and install it today (3 days later). The other companies were very focused on upselling; their suggestions always came back to replacing the unit. Funny thing is, they didn't provide the quotes I requested for replacing the unit. Sevan and his Dad (found out it was his Dad while we were chatting) were very focused on NOT upselling, but rather fixing the issue. Seriously. On multiple occasions before they fixed the furnace, they kept suggesting that we hold off on replacing the entire unit, that they would be able to fix it and that replacing the unit should be delayed as long as possible to save us money. When it comes times to replace the entire unit (both A/C and furnace), I will be contacting these guys and no one else. I don't trust the other companies now. I have full trust in VT Heating and Cooling. Thank you guys for making your customers the priority, not your wallets. read more

They came so fast and fixed my issue. The owner was amazing. The owner checked everything gave suggestions about the skylight s to keep the costs down. I would definitely hire them again and again. read more

I reached out to VT Heating & Air Conditioning for an AC repair. I *loved* the service - here's why it was great: - Extremely fast response time - I reached out on a weekend and heard back immediately. Huge relief because we were really uncomfortable without AC - Super easy, automated appointment booking through Yelp - Diagnostic fee was less than any of the other competitors (VT charged $49, everyone else was asking $100+) - Prompt/on time - Super detail oriented - Reasonable price - Courteous and polite - went above and beyond - And most importantly: fixed our AC issue quickly and easily! Definitely recommend and would reach out to VT for future AC needs! read more

Sevan and his staff professionally installed our HVAC a couple years ago at our new condo, and he just came over for the first regular maintenance. Wonderful customer service and attention to detail. Lots of experience dealing with the HOA and will persevere to get the job done correctly. Our HVAC has made our home temperature during hot summers and cold winters so pleasant! Thank you, VT! read more

Tenant informed me that the furnace wasn't consistently turning on so sent out a project request over yelp on Saturday morning. VT was the first to respond in a few minutes, before 8AM. No weekend availability so scheduled an appointment for the following Monday and was quoted the $39 diagnostic fee. Appointment occurred on-time within the scheduled 2-hour window; they found (3) issues: 1. Furnace was dirty resulting in an inconsistent on/off pilot light reading 2. Thermostat was set to eco-mode 3. Furnace had a limiter set that would prevent it from turning on at times VT cleaned and changed the furnace limiter and reset the thermostat to full manual mode. Charged $228 in total for the service- made my life as a landlord easy! read more

We have an older A/C unit. VT Heating and Air were quick to respond to my call. They were honest and direct whereas others would have tried to have me replace my A/C unit. If I have any other A/C or heating issues VT Heath and A/C will be my first call read more

I called because our new HVAC unit is impossibly loud. The owner of this company spent an hour and a half with me examining the problem, discussing the options, and then giving his recommendations. All this was done for free. I had called other places who wanted to charge me $165 for the first call. The owner is clearly an expert in the field. Looking forward to working with him as he is the most knowledgeable person I have spoken to in regards to heating and air-conditioning. read more

AC was blowing hot air so I gave them a call first thing and they came out and fixed it same day. Explained everything and saved the day! Thank you! read more

Our AC unit has an inconsistent issue. The motor turns on but there is no air coming out. It happens...well inconsistently. VT Heating came out, climbed up the roof and of course the unit was working and not having any issues... He let me know it could be one of two things and since it was not happening at the time he could not tell me exactly what the issue was. This was an honest answer, he could have told me anything and said it would cost $5000.00 to fix. He waived the diagnosis fee and told me to call him again if it happens. Which I will certainly do! This is a good way to build strong relationships with future clients and word of mouth goes a long way. read more

Our heater broke and I called VT Heating and Air Conditioning. Sevan helped diagnose our problem and even made recommendations prior to him coming to our house. He was responsive, super knowledgeable, and worked quickly. He gave an estimate that covered everything from the crane rental to testing. This heating and air company is the best that I've seen out there! They were fast, professional, and responsive They replaced the whole AC at lightning speed, took care of fixing the heating issue, found out there was a leaking gas pipe here and they even went ahead and fixed the leaking gas pipe for us. They went above and beyond and cleaned the area they were working in to better than it was before! LOL If I could give them a rating, it would be 7/5 :) read more

So grateful to have the team come check our HVAC system! They were very quick and responsive and made the entire process a breeze.

My thermostat and furnace were on the fritz so I made some inquiries on a reputable HVAC repair service. Sevan at VT Heating & Air Conditioning responded to my request literally in a few minutes and offered a very reasonable quote quickly. After confirming and following up, he appeared within the agreed-upon timeframe and diagnosed the issues. He installed a new thermostat and performed a repair on my furnace in less than an hour. Sevan and VT were professional, courteous, and responsive, and I could not have asked for better service. Very highly recommend for your next HVAC jobs! read more

Our air conditioning unit wasn't pushing much air, making the house unbearable in the summer heat. Sevan came by and provided a fair and objective evaluation. He quickly assessed the problem areas, pointed out that the AC unit was too small for the space and found a hidden filter in the attic furnace. He climbed up to remove it for us and we immediately we saw the air flow increase. That was it! Quick and easy. What I appreciated above all else was the fair advice, patient explanations and expert help. There was no hidden agenda - Sevan did not pressure us to upgrade our AC unit or push additional services or nickel and dime us for his time. Sevan will be the first one I call If anything goes wrong with my heating or AC. read more

Very honest and fixed the issue effectively and efficiently!

I had an issue with my air conditioner regarding a freon leak and Sevan was the first to respond and actually had availability the same day (on a Saturday). He was great at communicating the issues and potential solutions. He also broke down everything I needed to know about my system and suggested ways I can check on the system. I did not feel forced into a decision and he was not trying to upsell to me (which is what most other AC repair companies try to do). I highly recommend VT Heating & Air Conditioning for their exceptional service and knowledge of AC units and repair. read more

VT Heating & Air Conditioning are the best!! Sevan was able to come and help us within 24 hours of request and quickly and efficiently got our air working again!! The A/C unit broke while my condo was in escrow. I put out a number of requests for quotes and Sevan was the first one to respond to my request and schedule a time to come by and look at the existing unit and space. VT gave me a very detailed quote so I knew exactly what I was paying for (parts and labor) so I felt much more comfortable doing business with them rather than other companies who would give me ambiguous quotes with no information. Sevan walked me through the quote in detail which was super helpful. There was a gentleman who came in a day early to detach the existing unit so that the installation of the unit went as quickly as possible. The installation itself took about 4 hours and I am very happy with the new unit. It's quiet and a perfect size for my condo. Sevan followed up with me after the installation and explained how to contact them in the event that my unit had issues and how to change the air filter. read more

Unbelievably good customer service. On top of being responsive, the crew helped diagnose some issues with my hvac system and were not just super knowledgeable but also helpful with diy tips. Would absolutely recommend them and bonus points for masking up / COVID safety read more

My 15 year old rooftop HVAC unit needed a replacement motor and 'squirrel cage', so I got bids from several companies on Yelp to source the replacement parts and install. Sevan, the owner of VT was one of the first to respond, and also provided one of the most affordable bids. They had a high rating on Yelp, so I hired them to do the work. I cannot recommend VT Heating and Air conditioning enough. The owner's father showed up on time, masked up, and my HVAC is now running like new. This is a family business that clearly takes pride in customer service and doing the job right, the first time. There are plenty of other companies out there that would have tried to up-sell me a new unit or price gauge (some of the bids were outrageous), but VT treated me honestly and I will definitely use them in the future, should the need arise. Bottom line: This company is honest and legit. Hire them with confidence. read more

We had a great experience with VT recently. Our furnace was short cycling and after I confirmed all of the switches were good, I decided to schedule an appointment with VT. Sevan came in and determined that the furnace was just oversized for the space it was heating. He adjusted the gas valve and it has been working great since. I was glad he didn't just throw costly parts hoping to fix the problem. All I had to pay for was labor. I highly recommend VT. read more

I actually reached out through Yelp to the company who I bought my central AC unit from but Sevan at VT Heating & Air got back to me first. He came by the next day and was able to figure out the issue with my leaking AC. Thank God, it was a quick fix! He explained the issue so that even I could understand what the problem was. I get so nervous when using new companies, especially when they know it's for something so critical like air conditioning during a humid week in summer! Sevan was friendly, professional, & honest which put my mind and wallet at ease. read more

I would highly recommend VT air conditioning. They are very thorough and reasonably priced. Sevan is knowledgeable from the design and setup of the distribution of ducting. I learned that you cannot slap on a powerful unit to an existing system because duct sizing must also be taken into account or else you'll have an inefficient system. read more
