Amazing sourdough pizza!!! I tried the buffalo chicken ranch and pepperoni playboy. The slices were huge and the crust was tasty because it's made from sourdough. I'm not even a big fan of ranch, but I thought it was so flavorful and fresh that it really elevated the pizza. We dined in and while they did heat up the slices before serving it, I thought it could've used a bit more time in the oven. Regardless, it was delicious and I'll definitely be back to try other toppings! I came here on a Wednesday night at around 6 and there were only a couple of other people in line. Place was not that hard to find. Right in front is free parking for an hour next to H-Mart. I was not aware of their online menu and ordered by what I saw at the front counter. While we were sitting down waiting for our food, we checked the online menu only after ordering and realized they sold sauces. While we were first in line for opening, there was an extremely long line behind us. Asked the counter worker if we could order a sauce through them and they said we had to wait back in the line. While I am not particularly blaming them for this, I would recommend an updated menu with all items including sauces for convenience of others. We ordered the caesar salad and margarita, mushroom, and chicken buffalo pizza. Margarita tasted like a costco pizza but with an amazing crust. Mushroom pizza was very creamy, I wish they could make a pizza with the same cream sauce but with no mushrooms. Hopefully they will start serving pies and custom pies after they get settled in with the soft opening. Loved the chicken buffalo pizza! Never tried anything like it before and I really enjoyed it for my first time. Ranch was so good I wished I had looked at the online menu sooner so I could order it. Caesar salad was alright. I've had better but it's not bad either, just wouldn't order it again if I came again. The chicken buffalo pizza on the other hand.. sign me up! Overall for a soft opening Mad Pie did splendidly well. There are some things that they can't control like long lines and running out of supplies before closing. As a born and raised New Yorker I'm always on the hunt for good pizza on Oahu-I ordered a cheese pizza- and it was "mwah"... I was disappointed since the ones coming out of the oven looked better than my reheated slice- hardly any cheese and/or tomato sauce. HOWEVER, I tried their cannoli ( the original) with pistachios and it WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD! The filling was just what it should be, not too sweet, but oh so creamy. The BEST Cannoli! My brother and I headed here for a treat. The line wasn't long. The cashier was super kind and helpful. We got the mocha and the ube cannoli, both dipped in chocolate chips on one end and pistachio s on the other. It was the best cannolis I ever had. Crust is fresh. Cream is on point. Got the pepperoni pie for $31 for a 40 minute wait time, i expected better. The crust was one of the best out of it all, crispy when you first bite it and also chewy. Who ever is in charge of the dough knows what they are doing. The pepperoni was disappointing. I expected big pepperoni slices like costco but it was those shrinking ones. Recently opened, this place is a HIT! I was lucky enough to get in when there was no line and there are sample pies so you can actually see what youre going to order. I stuck with 2 slices-- classic cheese and a pepperoni. They were both made to perfection! The toppings were excellent, and the pepperoni had the kick that many pepperoni pizzas miss. The dough is also delicious! I just wish there was a dipping sauce I could put my crust in. This truly is a solid pizza. While I took my pizza to go, there are a few tables you can dine in, if that's more your speed. The place is bustling with activity, so definetly a great place to grab a slice with friends and talk story. Shoutout to Gina for being the best. One of the best pizza places on island! I've been eating their pizza even before they had a brick-and-mortar establishment and were just a pop-up vendor with a different name. Awesome variety of pizza which you can also buy by the slice. A goo amount of tables inside the restaurant as well as in the outdoor courtyard they share with Down to Earth grocery. Parking garage is free for the first hour if I recall correctly, so that makes it easy if you drive, especially when street parking in that Kaka'ako area is so limited. Very nice staff. read more

NYC native living in Hawaii for going on 7 years now. It's been a struggle to find good pizza here. There's only a couple of good spots I find are close to NYC. MadPie is definitely as close as it gets. I had the pepperoni and buffalo chicken slices and they were delicious. Really looking forward to trying the rest of their pizza. The restaurant itself is modern and up to date. Plenty of seating to grab a slice and drink for a fast lunch. The service is outstanding here as well. You walk in and you get your food so fast which is uncommon here. The pizza is fresh so you're not getting pizza that has been sitting around all day. read more

All their pizzas are premade- they just reheat so cheese was not "melty" and crust was rubbery. The dough tastes more like sourdough and the sauce/cheese are salty and not a great combo. FUNGO!!!!!!! OMG. So effing good. Walked over during lunch break from work on Punchbowl street. Took us like 5 minutes tops. It's located at 516 Keawe St in town right by Down to Earth. They do pick up orders from what I could tell. The tables inside were super roomy and the chairs were comfy. Everything was clean. The food was great. I got a slice of Fungo, a slice of Margherita, and a Italian salad. All were just fantastic. The crust was crispy and delicious. My fave was the Fungo-the mushroom cheese of my dreams. Definitely the best pizza I've had on Oahu! Fast service with a smile. I love the décor, it feels like you're on the East Coast with all the trophies and artsy touches. I've been a couple of times now, and my favorite is the barbecue chicken slice, but the pepperoni is bomb too. We popped in around 7pm on a Saturday night. There weren't too many single slice options left at that time as they close at 8pm. The cashier was very friendly and accommodating. We ordered a whole "fungo" pizza and a Caesar salad. It came out in a timely manner and it's a good sized pizza, I believe it was 8 slices. Fungo pizza was delicious, nice blend of cheeses, mushrooms had a nice taste. Pizza was thin, not super crispy, not a flop either, perfect! I think there's about 4-5 tables and a bar top to dine in. Wow. This pizza was different than his Fattoamanohi and in my humble opinion I liked it better! I loved the wood fire pizza but this new sourdough that James has created is a masterpiece.
