Pizza is probably my favorite food to get when I'm enjoying a cheat meal, but as a southern Californian, I find it tough to find really good pizza spots. That said, Luigi's Pizza located on Kuhio Ave in Honolulu is easily one of the best pizza parlors that I've ever had the pleasure of checking out. I don't eat pork, so I opted for the Truffle Mushroom White with Arugula, and it absolutely hit the spot. The pizza itself wasn't excessively greasy, the crust was flaky as opposed to the borderline cardboard-like texture you'd expect from a major chain, and the cheese was, for lack of better word, gooey. The mushrooms were spread out on each slice instead of being cluttered all in one area, the white truffle absolutely melted with each bite, and the arugula gave the pizza a little extra kick without having an overpowering taste. The service was outstanding as well. Since my brother and I were trying it out for the first time, the staff were super helpful in explaining what some of the customer favorite pizzas were and why. They were also especially helpful with their recommendations for toppings to add with our respective pizzas, and that simple gesture compelled me to leave a small tip. Our orders took roughly twenty minutes each, so we weren't in there particularly long despite it being fairly busy around 8:30 PM on a Thursday night and two other customers ordering ahead of us. We had our order to go, so I wouldn't feel too comfortable offering my opinion on the atmosphere too much. That said, the restaurant itself is a small yet comfortable space that also offers outdoor eating for folks who prefer that kind of vibe. Had we stayed at the restaurant, we likely would have eaten our food outside since that portion of the establishment seems to offer a little more leg room than the inside. Lastly, I only gave Luigi's Pizza a 4/5 stars due to the fact that there are no sides such as breadsticks or wings. Although the pizza itself is some of the best I've ever had, I would have definitely enjoyed some breadsticks and marinara sauce to go with it. That said, the excellent and fast customer service and delicious, non-greasy pizza are more than enough to check out at least once. read more

Be prepared for a compliment on your outfit/hair from the cashier when the tip screen pops up. Good pizza that took about 20 minutes to come out. Great place to people watch if you eat on the patio. read more

If you are looking for amazing pizza in Waikiki, you gotta check out Luigi's Pizza! This amazing restaurant is located at Paia Fishmarket in Waikiki (across from Waikiki Market). When you arrive, the staff welcomes you and asks you to place your order before sitting. They have a small but mighty menu and for our first time we went with their Pepperoni Pizza and Fennel Sausage Pizza with Hot Honey. All pizzas are 14" and are made with naturally leavened sourdough which gives them an amazing taste. We came here pretty early and have no trouble finding a spot to sit. The pizzas came out quickly and were absolutely delicious. You can taste the quality in the products and both were amazing. I highly recommend adding hot honey to their fennel sausage pizza. The flavor is subtle but you can definitely taste the difference. I can't wait to come back and also try one of their salads. Highly recommend supporting this local business during your time in Waikiki. read more

The pizza and salads are fresh and phenomenal. The location is a bit unassuming, but this spot is part of the PAIA fish market, so the ingredients are superb. Ordered a Margherita pizza online through Toast. The estimated pickup time was 30-35 minutes, but it was ready in about 15 minutes, so something to keep in mind if you're timing your order. The staff was nice, and they had plates, parmesan and other extras available to grab if you're taking it to go and eating back at your hotel. They also have plenty of indoor seating if you want to dine in. The pizza was decent, with a sourdough crust, and a good cheaper option for the area. It's a solid choice if you're looking for an easy, casual pizza meal. read more

Tried the fennel sausage pizza and really enjoyed it. The pizza itself was delicious with a great crust and quality ingredients. It is a little pricey for a 14" pizza, but the flavor definitely delivered. One thing I'd highly recommend is ordering a side of hot honey no matter what pizza you get. It takes the pizza to another level and was honestly one of the highlights of the meal. The only thing I'd skip next time is the ranch. It was a bit watery and pretty average, especially compared to how good the pizza was. Pizza was quick and the vibez were good. Overall, a solid spot. read more

Delicious pizza. Friendly and efficient service. The crust was perfect. I had the fennel sausage & jalapeno, and it was scrumptious. I was visiting from Los Angeles, and trying to dine locally - i.e., order food I can't get at home or food that would be much better in Hawaii (like macaroni salad, kalua pork, etc.) - but I needed a pizza fix, and this local spot was a great find. read more

Got the margherita pizza. Really liked the sourdough crust which was a bit chewy, but thought the tomato sauce was a bit too tart and one-dimensional. The hot honey would've helped but my kid doesn't eat spicy. Service was great though, and it's a relaxing casual space. read more

Wow - what a find. If you're looking for some excellent thoughtfully made pizza at a completely reasonable price, you'll find Luigis right next to Paia Fish Market on Kuhio. Featuring a long fermented sourdough crust that has a great flavor and crispy texture, alongside quality ingredients (the pepperoni and the cheese were super tasty) this is a wonderful inexpensive alternative to typical Honolulu fare. I can hardly wait to head back, thanks Luigis! read more

This gem is tucked away on Kūhiō Ave & Dukes Ln in Waikīkī. There are many decent pizza places in the area but Luigi's takes the mahiole. The pizza may not be wood fired but it's got the same kinda vibe. The naturally leavened sourdough crust is key. The dough goes through a fermentation process for around 48 hours to deliver its notable flavor. You can expect the results to be consistent if not a bit greasy depending on the toppings, which are not all the expected cast. They offer a verity of topics that might make you think, it never occurred to me to put that on this kind of pizza." Which I think is great way to get customers to expand their pallets (and I say that being certifiably the finickiest person I know). For example they recommend calabrian chilies, whipped ricotta, and hot honey for pairing with their pepperoni pizza. I opted to add some pineapple to mine despite the controversy (oh stop, you'll love it!). Be sure to check out their Truffle Mushroom pizza, who can really pass up white truffle oil laced seasonal mushrooms, truffle makes everything better. The staff at as helpful, friendly and tentative. We can at a bit of an odd hour (and following some flash flooding in the area) so the place wasn't too busy. There is a bit of seating inside and some outside seating to do people watching. Inside it looks like you can watch as they make the pizza dough but it wasn't occurring during our visit. read more

DELICIOUS PIZZA we ordered the fennel sausage pizza and a cheese pizza for our kiddo and let me tell ya the pizza was goooood. They had a happy hour deal for drinks and a buy one pizza get one half off during lunch time. The crust on the pizza was so crusty and had a good chew to it. The fennel sausage tasted homemade and the staff there were great! As someone who grew up in NY, their pizza really is up there in my opinion. When you need a break from poke, Asian food, or seafood in Waikiki, definitely check out this pizza place. read more

SUPPORT FAMILY OWNED LOCAL BUSINESSES! We saved the best for our last supper in Hawaii. Pizzas are 14", ingredients fresh and locally sourced, service spectacular, tiramisu freshly made in-house daily. Clean aesthetic inside and flows to an outdoor patio that joins their fish restaurant next door. I requested for a clean pizza slicer and watched him clean a slicer so thorough that I'm giving him a huge kudo for that. Thank you for a great experience; every one of you tonight I applaud. read more

Very happy we found this place! The staff was friendly and helpful and our food came quite quickly. There is a partially open kitchen concept so you're able to watch the chefs work if you like. This is Neapolitan style pizza (so yes there is less cheese than American style pizzas). The crust was a bit overdone on some of our pizzas and true to Island fashion it's a bit expensive for what you're getting. However, the ingredients were clearly high quality and the portion sizes were larger than we expected! Would recommend. read more

Luigi's recently opened in Waikīkī near the International Market Place. The establishment looks clean and spacious. The staff are friendly and greeted us as soon as we walked up and took our order. The menu had limited options which is nice as this usually means they specialize in quality. We ordered the Pepperoni and Fennel Sausage pizza and took it to go. The pizza was pretty good as I favor fennel sausage however I didn't find a lot of that in the pizza, I wish there were more. The crust is nice on the outer edge however I wasn't able to taste the sourdough. This is my first time having sourdough pizza crust and I was hoping there would be more of that flavor and texture. My thoughts are that they are working on mastering their craft and I look forward to returning in 6 months. read more

Easy to order, fast service and a bunch of tables at a good price. I have not had much experience with sourdough crust but this was stellar. It had exactly the wood fired taste that i love, with a not too chewy crust. It reheats well too! Counter style setup with first come tables that can house some larger groups. What it had going for it was that it was close to the hotels and one could call place an order and come pay at pick up. They were also giving out free sodas. I found this place on Yelp and wanted to get a cheap pizza to take back to the Airbnb to eat. The walk to the location from the parking garage made me change my decision to dining in. Upon entering the cashier was friendly and gave some suggestions. I ordered the pepperoni pizza with ricotta cheese and hot honey. The taste of the sauce was okay and I didn't like the application or taste of the ricotta. The atmosphere was cool with the outside dining. Overall, I wasn't disappointed I tried it, but a little sad that it wasn't as good as the reviews made it seem. read more

I'm not a regular when it comes to eating in Waikiki, we usually try to avoid when possible because parking and crowds. When my sister said they were going to do a staycation in Waikiki I knew I was going to be hanging out with them. Looking for dinner on Sunday night we wanted something we hadn't had, kids would eat, and the wait wouldn't be too long. Hello Luigi's. It's a small shop and was very busy-we waited about 10 minutes to order and 25 minutes for food. The pizzas are 14" thin crust pies with sourdough crust, very delicious. I forgot to get a picture of the fennel sausage pizza but that was the crowd favorite for our party of 6. The burrata was good but I wish we had added something else on top. The tomato and burrata salad needed some salt and a crusty bread and it would have been my highlight of the night. Overall, good food, decent price, good service. read more

This is our first visit to Luigi's pizza. We got the fennel sausage pizza. Love it !!! The red sauce, something I don't normally think about on other restaurant pizzas , this was fresh and light and it was just so good. The sausages with thinly sliced red onions just covered the pizza. After decades of living in Honolulu, I can finally say I've found my favorite pizza: Luigi's in Waikiki on Kuhio. The thin crust is perfectly crunchy with that cornmeal texture that keeps every bite light but satisfying. The sauce is balanced, not too sweet, and the fennel sausage is a total treat for the taste buds; tonight I went back for a second night in a row and added pepperoni. Even, the owner Luigi himself, even came out to personally deliver the pizza to me while I was standing at the counter admiring the kitchen, which says everything about how much pride they take in what they serve. If you're craving real, flavorful pizza in Honolulu, this is the place I'll be coming back to again and again. Solid pizza - in my top 3 in Waikiki. I ordered a pepperoni pizza to go and waited about 20 minutes (was given an accurate wait time). Pizza was still warm and tasty after a 10 minute walk home and walking up 20 flights of stairs due to a power outage. Crust is great. Toppings tasted fresh. One pizza was about the right size for two full meals - but since the power was out I went for it and finished the whole thing. Restaurant was clean and you can sit outside above Kuhio, just like Paia Fish Market next door. Music volume was not too loud. read more

Pizza was absolutely amazing and it was a great price. We got the white truffle pizza and the sausage pizza. The bread was perfectly fluffy and not soggy. This is definitely not easy to park at. I had to park at international marketplace and walk to it and also ask someone for help. The person over the phone didn't know which parking it was, but I'm sure she was just new or something. So this use to be a former night club. I had gotten a sample of their cheese pizza prior to opening night (please don't as me how was hanging out with some other folks. 1) the bottom of the pizza is NOT cornmeal - found out is semolina - way more refined and you don't feel you have you have freaking corn stuck in yer teeth! 2) They USE actual parmigiano regiano not that fake crap cheese IN addition to fresh mozzarella AND I SWEAR they sneak a little taste of another cheese!!!! (Please prove me wrong? ) 3) Crust is broke da mouth - I grew up w/ Italians - Ummmm this crust is NOT oily!!!!!! Light and fluffy!!! I swear It is NOT cardboard!!!!! 4) Last night I ordered the Fennel Sausage Pizza - My pizza arrived on time beautifully but had big chunks of sausage on each slice. Now here is where I was a bit confused, Thought actual fresh fennel was gonna be incorporated the fresh sliced? That was my thought......I was wrong STILL! This pizza seasoning is da bomb!!!!! So this pizza joint is 100% da bomb!!!! read more
