This is one of my favorite places back home in Hawaii. My dad lives across the street in Waikiki for over 35 years and this is our go to for pizza. Omg it's good. I also get the French dip once in a while and got it a few weeks ago and it's always a winner when we're eating at the pub. I'm another night, the pizza was awesome for takeout. It's located at the entrance to the Ala Wai Yacht Harbor with so many hotels around it like the Ilikai so if you're a tourist this is a MUST visit place to get the local experience and a lot of the local sailing scene hangs out here. When I'm dining in I love the cocktails too but they also have a great beer selection. If you're doing take out, be patient. They can get really busy and they'll literally either leave the phone off the hook or just not answer it. It's frustrating but luckily since I live nearby when I'm on Oahu, I just walk over and place my order (or dine at the bar if they get snotty about it - trust me they do sometimes). This is the type of place where you feel totally comfortable hanging out with wrinkle clothes and bad hair. Unpretentious, no frills local spot. Don't come expecting designer foods with foam or craft cocktails. Just solid, classic American fare done right. We usually stick to the pizza and beer. The crust is thin and crisp, more of a light, cracker-like crunch than a chewy toothsome bite. They serve beer by the full or mini pitcher. Pro tip: ask for a plastic cup of ice and drop it into the pitcher to keep it cold. No A/C, just open windows and fans. The Ala Wai Harbor definitely lets you know it's there when the wind shifts. Nice early morning diner (and bar for the rest of the day). Next to our hotel. Not at all expensive. I got the French Toast. Was quite good. Wife got Eggs Benedict-something-or-other which she also liked. Our waitress was quite nice. Polite. Place is really easy to find and get to (currently just beware of a lot of construction around and above their entrance). Only downside was not their fault: folks at the table next to us had really loud voices, making it difficult for us to hear ourselves. But they I assume was a one-off. The Harbor Pub is what can only be described as a dive bar by the harbor. Located beneath the Chart House and behind the Red Lobster, the Harbor Pub is an unassuming little gem with a great bartender (Glen) and an even bigger cast of characters at the bar (think the wolf). We stopped in today early for a few mimosas by the open air windows on the bar side overlooking the boats parked in the marina. The minuses were delicious, the bar itself was a nice kitschy feel inside and the overall feel did in fact scream dive bar, so in other words, I was home. 4 mimosas rang in at $30 which I felt to be reasonable, they do have a lengthy happy hour in the afternoon from 330-7pm. While I didn't try anything to eat, I was told the food is quite good here. I will be back for happy hour to get the full effect of this divey gem by the water. read more

Local pub with reasonably priced food and drinks. This establishment offers a local vibe right on the harbor. We visited on a Monday night around 8pm. It wasn't busy, so we were able to seated right away (wife and I). They had a descent menu with a bit of everything (burgers, pizza, sandwiches and other classic dishes). Their caesar salad was good but the pizza was even better. Their servers were very nice and were patient with us, since we didn't know what we wanted. The drinks came out fast and were ice cold. If you can, try to sit near a window. They have air conditioning but it doesn't seem to circulate very well. The breeze that came from the outside was nice. The only downside was their restroom being on the gross side. This wasn't a dealbreaker though. They also have live entertainment. We would definitely go here again. read more

While staying at the Ilikai Hotel, the Harbor Pub & Pizza was recommended to us as a nearby place to grab a bite. Walking down the steps, I already felt a unique vibe, and when we entered the subterranean area, the welcoming vibe of dive bar greeted us. The windows along the wall facing the harbor are open to the sea breeze and makes for a fresh feel. We were seated in a booth that gave us a great view of the harbor and the bar. Our drinks were tasty and we enjoyed them. Our food was plentiful, hot, and delicious. My friend and I are wondering why we haven't used cream cheese on our sandwiches before, it's so good! My husband asked for a custom pastrami pizza, which was deeelicious! The server & chef were super cool about trying something new. Maybe it'll make it onto the menu! The only thing you should come here for is a drink. Food is horrible. Kinda strange you can make food below average and keep the doors open. We got the special of the night, Caesar salad with mahi mahi and some nachos. Salad was gross and underdressed with a little 4oz piece of fish and 100 croutons. For $25, you're crazy. The nachos were passing D+ score, but come on, just completely underwhelming. Drinks take forever to make it to your table. The only shining part is the decor and ambience. Maybe the breakfast is better or the pizza is better, but I highly doubt it and won't ever spend money here again unless it's a cold beer at the bar. Parking at Ala Wai Yacht harbor is enforced 24/7. $1.00 per hour. Seated immediately in a cozy nook, drink orders taken quickly. 2 out of 3 dishes served in a timely manner. Crab eggs Benedict smelled... off. Tasted somewhat ok but didn't smell fresh. Half of the plate eaten as the smell was too much to handle. Oh my..Harbor Pub has been in business for over 30+ years thats amazing! I remember coming here for late night pizza back in the day. It's still owned by the same couple too! Did you know they even sell a pretty awesome affordable breakfast too? They have delicious biscuits and gravy and sweet bread French toast with bacon and other items as well. The servers are friendly and the atmosphere is chill. It's a little rustic and not that fancy on the inside but the food is pretty good and not grossly overpriced for Waikiki fare. read more

1st visit here. Initial impression, it smelled horrible inside. We waited 1 1/2 hours, yes, 90 minutes for a medium pizza! Our waitress came by & apologized several times but spent lots of time & attention to the younger patrons. She gave us a free basket of potato chips b/c of the wait. From what I can remember, this is a cool pub located on the basement level of a building next to the marina at the border of Honolulu and Waikiki. I dropped in for a pizza while on a short overnight work trip and it was decent. I definitely want to go back because the vibe seemed really cool. It looks to be a good watering hole for the locals and that is what I look for when I'm away from home. Unfortunately not impressed! Place looks like am elevated hole in a wall which is fine but u walk in and the smell is not inviting. But we were hungry and wanted to watch fireworks from Hilton. We ordered nachos and pizza to go and it took almost 30 min to get nachos and almost an hour for pizza. Longest we have waited in Hawaii so far. Issue with a bartender; I believe his name was Fred. Despite his advanced age, he presented like a juvenile idiot. Sitting at the bar, I watched him call patrons, distant as they walked by, derogatory names, inaudible to them. Then, after calling him out on drinking surplus mixes, he called me weirdo. I wanted to leave him without a tip, but I did have other bartenders serving me prior. Leaving something, he called me "grease bump", which I took as not enough. Get yourself a half circle booth, order a Bloody Ceaser a pitcher of draft beer and this is the key, order a Taco Pizza with a side of ranch for dipping. If you do this it will be a highlight of your Vacation or whatever you're doing. This is a local local place don't be afraid, go in and get down. Sit back watch whatever sports are on tv. The hot pastrami did come with lettuce and tomato on it (just in case you don't want that on there, I didn't know when I ordered it) Very delicious and the vibe was laid back. If you are looking for an out of the way place in busy-touristy Honolulu; this might be it! It's a hidden gem; right behind the marina that seems to be a favorite of locals. We visited this place on the suggestion of friends who had been here before on previous visits. It was packed to the gills at the bars and tables. There were plenty of "colorful" locals including a woman who asked my husband and my friend's husband "to dance" as they entered. (And there was no dancing or even a bit of room to dance!). Every bar stool was full and the bartender seemed to know them all! We got a horseshoe-shaped booth and were informed that food, especially pizza, was going to take "a while." We all ordered beers, which were brought out quickly, and food. Our server brought us a basket of chips, and later, some candied-nuts to nibble on while we waited for our food. I ordered Jeff's Favorite, which was Boar's Head Turkey and Swiss cheese and au jus dipping sauce. It came with chips and a pickle and was definitely worth the wait! Lots of turkey and yummy. My husband had the Harbor Blue Burger. He said it was also great and he really enjoyed the melted blue cheese on the burger. My friend had Jay's Favorite which was also a turkey sandwich; but it had cranberry sauce and bacon. She really enjoyed it and said it was fantastic! So, let me lead off with stating that this is a local institution in the harbor of Waikiki. It is as old as some of the regulars that take up room at the bar. The drinks are strong and reasonably priced by Waikiki standards, the pub grub is good and the service...well, the pub grub is good. I absolutely loved this pub. It had such a homey feel to it and the staff was very sweet and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious and it's right near the harbor(hence the name)! So you can see boats and such docked near by. It was pretty crowded for Christmas and the staff was all dressed in Christmas attire it was so cute! Their pizza dough is made in house and they are known for this! Their dough and sauce is made fresh daily, and they used garden picked veggies. You could definitely taste the difference! This was one of the best pieces of pies I've ever had! And I'm from Vegas so that's saying a lot with all the spots I've tried! This place can be hard to find and it's nestled in a corner but do not sleep on it! You will not be disappointed. They have a variety of different items to choose from quesadillas, nachos, salads, soups, subs, burgers and sandwiches! There is something for everyone read more
