16oz 28. Mango Li Hing Mui Seltzer

Good place if you're looking for a place to hang with a group of friends that not only has good beer but also a solid selection of food! The group got a few appetizers to share along with food and drinks. As I'm not much of a beer drinker, I got the Mango Li Hing Mui Seltzer which I liked. They also have plenty of mocktail options for those who don't drink but still want something different than the typical soda. We got our drinks and food pretty quickly except for when one of them asked for another beer and it took a while for him to get it. I got the Korean Style BBQ Short Ribs and my boyfriend got the Mando Mac N' Cheese and I enjoyed both of them! He thought his wasn't salty enough but I thought it was just right. Food items ordered: - Korean Style BBQ Short Ribs - Mando Mac N' Cheese - Garden Burger w/ Side Salad - Beer Battered Fish & Chips - OG Swiss Burger w/ Onion Rings & Ranch - OG Swiss Burger w/ Fries

Super cool brewery and Biggie would approve! Off the beaten path in Honolulu, Hana Koa has a great beer selection and also serve wine and spirits! The food was excellent! We started out with the spicy pickles that were not spicy but still really good! We loved the onion rings that are pickled, battered then fried. We also had the spicy kimchi shrimp that was cooked to perfection and had great flavor! I like it spicy so our server brought us some house made hot sauce that was epic! Super spicy and had a unique flavor- so good!

Hana koa has some of the best brews on the island. You have to try the Rice Breaker if you have the chance. I brought some friends who were visiting Oahu to hang out and try some beers. The service was great, our server was very attentive despite it being busy. The food was average. My friend ordered a Teri burger medium, and it came very rare. Not sure if I have the wrong idea of what a medium burger should look like. Oh well :/

hana koa never fails to satisfy man they're perfect for large parties, for drinks AND food, and the service and atmosphere are spot on. we have our go-to orders (farmhouse burger, smokehouse burger, fish and chips) and also love trying new things. the cubano, tuscan sando, and mando mac are also reliable too! the truffle fries are a sunday only item but our server and tonight's kitchen staff were soooo kind to let us order it on a friday night! this is why we love hana koa!

Hana Koa is a beautiful brewery with two stories! The interior is spacious and very clean. The drink selection is vast and unique, with beers and ciders you can't find other places and taste extremely refreshing. Parking is limited as the street is narrow and doesn't really allow for street parking nearby. I would plan to park a few blocks away and walk. Regardless, I would highly recommend checking out Hana Koa Brewing while in Oahu!!

Had a great time at Hana Koa, Saturday night they have a prime rib special but we didnt order it. The marlin toast was delicious it comes with 3 pieces but you can add an extra piece. Smokehouse burger was perfectly cooked, argula and beet salad was a generous portion. I loved the Pumpkin Cheesecake. They also just released the Mochi Daze Ipa delicious for me but some found it too sweet. Service was friendly and lively atmosphere. Good food and great selection of draft beers.

Stopped in on a busy Tuesday night. The lot was full and all street parking was taken. Hostess told us to find street parking or we can park in the parking garage behind the building called "Altres" which was free of charge and allowed after 5pm. I think making a reservation would be recommended, but we lucked out with walking-in and snagging a high top table. Ordered a flight and my all-time favorite HanaKoa Beer, which is the Rice Lager. All beers on tap were written on the wall and you can find more on the menu. This place was poppin' for a Tuesday night but all of our servers were helpful and friendly. I didn't feel like I was waiting around for a server to come by despite it being busy. I recommend this place! This is one of my favorite breweries on island and I know I will definitely come again.

So we had a team building function at Hana koa brewery. We went during Happy hour 3-6 The following staff gave awesome customer service recommendations. They're very knowledgeable into details about even the brewing of their beer. The food is great. The beer was great most definitely we will be back. Got the following FLIGHT OF THE WEEK (no substitutions) breaktime blonde, rooftop, rotating sour, rotating ipa Marlin toast The following individual stood out while we were there Bartenders Sarina, Nick and sunny production brewer Kris

Stopped in yesterday evening for some drinks and dinner. Glad we did because we haven't visited this brewery on this trip yet and wish we had because we've only got a week left to go. For a Monday evening the place seemed quite busy which surprised us. We each had three beers and my favorite was the rooftop which is one of their staple beers. We ordered the Marlin toast which comes in three pieces. We added one more and didn't regret it because they were that good. For our meal ordered the Hana koa hamburger and both thought it was quite good. Even splitting it gave us a nice full belly with no complaints. The vibe here was quite good, no loud music or 30 television screens blaring at you while you're trying to enjoy a conversation. The service was excellent and the bartender was quick to offer a sample of something you might not be sure of. We always appreciate that.

Hana Koa is hands down the best brewery on Oahu. I know some people will fight me on this, but I stand by what I said. If you're looking for a spot that puts out creative, flavorful beers, this is the place. Their beer selection is unmatched, and what makes them stand out is the way they blend local flavors with fun, inventive ideas. Surf Pup is punchy, One Moa is hands down one of the best cream ales out there, and Love Letter is a bold double IPA. I've been coming here for years, and while not every beer has been my personal favorite, I've never felt let down. they're always well-crafted and intentional. And the food? Also solid. There are only a couple of menu items I wouldn't order again, but overall this is a place you can enjoy with family or friends (even if beer isn't your thing). The sliders are a go-to, the mac & cheese is decent, and I love that they run daily specials to keep things fresh. Favorites of mine include the Pork Belly Sliders, Bang-a-Rang Shrimp, Nakamura's Marlin Toast, and the Fried Chicken Sando. The Captain Salad is another standout, huge portions and packed with flavor. If you're staying in Waikiki, you'll want to carve out time to make it here. It's just about 15 minutes away by Uber or bus, and honestly, if you're up for it, you could even walk. It's not that far. That's what makes this place so special. You can escape the chaos of Waikiki, but still be close enough that it's convenient. Totally worth the trip. If you skip it, you'll regret it.

What a big difference between my first visit when Hana Koa Brewing was relatively new with generic food, and was told their IPAs were adjusted to make it "easier" to drink till now with excellent food and very unique and awesome beers! Still located in Kaka'ako along Kawaiahao St., near Ward Ave. There's a decent amount of parking beside the building plus additional stalls in the back and in the ALTRES building (after 5pm). Inside was open, bright, spacious, and comfortable. More of a restaurant feel than before. There's a really solid variety of beer and love the fact that they have a partnership with The Rice Factory and incorporated their ride in the beer. I tried The Rice Breaker - taste was clean, light, and smooth. The Midnight Pretender was excellent - clean, smooth with a nice coffee after taste. Pina Hoplada is really good! Tastes almost like the Colada! All the right flavors come out. Very well balanced. The Roasted Eggplant Bruschetta was OK. The crostini bread was not buttery and toasted way too long making it too crunchy, which made it instantly fall apart after the first bite. Eggplant spread had no "roasted" taste at all. Tomato and basil are mixed together, so it wasn't spread evenly. Very basic. Not sure about $4 per toast for this ($12 for 3, plus $3.50 per extra piece). Vietnamese Salad was all right. The vermicelli noodles were on the hard side and easily falls apart making it not too appetizing. I never felt it had any Vietnamese flavors. The nuac cham dressing was almost like Italian dressing. Was there fish sauce? It definitely needed more mint and cilantro, and less cabbage (it even had red cabbage too). Lemongrass Chicken was okay. Chicken was overcooked and on the dry side with not much lemongrass flavor. Looked and ate more like chicken breast than chicken thigh. Rice was good on this one (the shrimp dish was a different story). The accompanying Vietnamese side salad was better than the first one. Same dressing came with but still didn't get any Vietnamese flavors. At least it helped with the dry chicken! The Fried Saimin was good. Small portion, basic. Noodles were stir fried well and had solid flavor. Egg on top had a nice yolk. But seemed had a hard time peeling the shell. A lot of missing egg white! The Garlic Shrimp was good. Cooked well. Nice sized shrimp. Excellent garlic flavor. Rice was exceedingly mushy. Hope this was from The Rice Factory because it would be a waste. The Shanghai bok choy was old and lifeless. The Hana Koa Burger was pretty good. Nicely seasoned beef patty. Nice char. Tender and juicy. Nicely toasted brioche bun. I'd get this again! Lastly, the Father's Day special Prime Rib was very good! Wish this can stay on the menu! The prime rib was decent size and cooked beautifully. The meat was tender and seasoned just enough for the salty and charred taste. The accompanying mashed potatoes were very good as well as the au jus and horseradish (I don't mind if it costs extra--a dollar in this case. Just LET US KNOW beforehand!). In a prior visit, I had the Popcorn Shrimp. Taste and shrimp were pretty good. Just the portion was surprisingly small, and it wasn't really "popcorn" shrimp as they were butterflied and deep fried. The Fish and chips were good. Nicely fried flaky fish with taste tartar sauce. Fries were good. Overall, I had a good experience. Our server was excellent and just a pleasure. Friendly, patient, and informative. The beers were awesome. Love the variety and collaborations, especially incorporating rice from The Rice Factory into their beers. The food was good and acceptable... and with some misses. At least I know what not to order. I'll definitely come back!

@fortunefoodfinds: "Catching FLIGHTS, not feelings! Had drinks n' a delicious dinner at HANA KOA BREWING. Beer flight: #4 guava flow sour ale, #9 mochi daze tropical dragon hazy IPA, #15 little shack lager, #17 Japanese style amber ale | pork belly sliders | arugula n' beet salad | pickled sweet onion rings | crispy fries | Korean-style bbq boneless short ribs | Mando Mac with house-cured bacon. Whether you're with friends or the entire family, this place welcomes everyone n' is kid-friendly!" Staff: friendly n' accommodating Interior: spacious, 2 levels, has an elevator that we utilized for our stroller, merchandise near restrooms available for purchase Exterior: has a vertical sign Wait time: 10 mins Parking: street, surrounding blocks Overall comments: came here bc they had menu options for the keiki, it looked spacious for a stroller, n' wanted to have some beer. Made reservations with no hassle. Our table was upstairs in the "Moon Room" n' thankfully they had an elevator (oldskool) + the staff were so helpful. The beer flight was a great n' fun way to try out the beers. Was surprised by how good all of the food was! Initially thought it would be like bar food, but no, not at all. Will need to make another visit sometime to try out more of their menu. Really enjoyed everything from the drinks, food n' great service!

I think this place has gone downhill and I'm so sad. Back in the day they had better food, service and I'll even say beer. But today's state: It's gotten popular so unless you go on an off time or plan ahead and reserve you may or may not get a seat. Service used to be way more attentive but last few times the servers are really just coasting. They know the bill will be high (this place ain't cheap) so they don't have to do much to earn their tips. One server even freaked out at us because my friend brought a tin of special cookies her friend shipped from Germany to share with our table of 4 during the holidays. We got scolded for eating a cookie like bad little school kids. Their burger is the only good thing on the menu. Every single time I order anything but that my belly is disappointed. I tried their lemongrass chicken plate and the chicken was DRY and burnt. No shame in chefs game. The side salad was the best thing on the plate. Rice was mushy and my server had to be asked 2x to bring some shoyu. The ambience is industrial open space with cold AC and crying babies. They don't play music. Their drag brunch is amateur hour.

I made a mental note to come back when I was back in the area and today was the day! Found parking in front of the blue building but there was only 3 spots. I think there are street parking available. We walked in at around 5pm and there were a handful of people but mostly empty. There is outdoor and indoor seating. There is a TV inside. This place is dog friendly as well! Service was okay...I told the bartender that it was my first time here and she said, "okay." I was expecting her to tell me more about their tap list and recommendations, but I had to ask my own questions. She served my flight in what looked like a bowl that my dog drinks out of but that is only my assumption. Lol Otherwise, I enjoyed this brewery. I loved the ambiance and the selection. We ordered a Hazy IPA, Pilsner, Sour, and Pilsner Ale. I personally enjoyed the Hazy IPA (Hyper Local) AND my Slushy Radler which was their Howzit Light and a Lemonade Slushy that paired well together. They had a food vendor out front and it smelt amazing but I did not get to try that today. Around 5:45pm I noticed that it started to get busy all of a sudden. When I was leaving I noticed it was because they had Sunday Trivia which I am assuming starts at 6:30pm. Overall, I enjoyed this brewery but the parking can be an issue. I would come here again!

Unfortunately, Lokahi Brewing's food missed the mark for me. Their brews were not bad, but there are other breweries in town that I prefer over Lokahi. I tried 4 different ones, and my favorite was the FLOOR IS GUAVA. Here's all the food we got: LOKAHI NACHOS w/ BIRRIA MEAT ($23) [3/5] - Portion was decent for $23, but the chips ran stale and there was uneven distribution of cheese and toppings throughout the nachos. Literally, one side had all the cheese and toppings. The birria meat didn't really taste of the classic Mexican spices that makes birria so good, it felt more like pulled pork. It was also dry. FRIED PICKLES ($10?) [2/5] - This was SO SALTY. I didn't really taste the tang of the pickles, felt like it was squeezed out of all its juice. It was ultimately just chips with a ton of salt. I downed two cups of water trying to finish these. Ultimately, I would come back to Lokahi Brewing for their shows and a brew or two, but I'll eat at home or elsewhere first before coming.
