    Hot honey chicken sandwich
    Chelsea I.

The place is very aesthtic and cute but overall, due to the bad service it quickly killed the mood. Service was not the best, our server seemed bothered for simple requests like when we asked to order food after waiting like 20 mins or asked for water. Anyways, went in for happy hr, got a flight, some onion rings, fries, and a hot honey chicken sandwich (the special for the month) Flight was good but I wish you could choose which beers you wanted to try - its like a set list. Onion rings were okay, but was charged extra for sauce even though it was listed as an option. Fries were crispy & great. Chicken sandwich was very good too. Vibes were a miss for me, wanted to love this brewery but left very underwhelmed. Probably won't be back. There are other local breweries I'd love to give my $ to instead.

We came to Hana Koa Brewing Co. for happy hour and some food & there were some good parts of the visit, but also a few things that kept the experience from being much better. The biggest downside was the service from our server Andrea. She was not rude, but she did seem annoyed by almost every request we made. After my party ordered drinks, she took our menus before we had ordered food, luckily I arrived late so my menu was left behind. We had to share one between 4 of us. I also asked for a set of silverware and she brought me just a napkin. Then another 25 minutes went by before she even returned once to check on us or ask if we wanted to order food, we had to go out of our way to flag her down. The drinks were also not a standout. The old fashioneds tasted weak, especially compared to what I would expect from a place with a full bar and cocktail menu. I was also disappointed that they were already out of the prime rib sandwich at 5:45, which felt early considering they were open for 5+ more hours. Another small but frustrating thing was being charged 50 cents for fry sauce for our fries and onion rings without being told there was an extra charge when the sauce options were offered. I don't mind being charged for it but why weren't we told nor was it listed on the menu. That said, there were definitely positives. The brisket sandwich was good, and the fries and onion rings were crispy and enjoyable. Our second server, a younger female server, was very polite and courteous, which helped improve the overall experience. We also appreciated that we were not rushed to leave and were able to enjoy our time there. The happy hour pricing was a bit pricey in my opinion for the amount we ordered. We had an order of fries, two orders of onion rings, two chicken sandwiches (no fries), a brisket sandwich with fries, a vegan burger (no fries), two beer flights, two additional beers, and three cocktails for around $170 before tip. Overall, Hana Koa had good food, ok happy hour prices, and a nice casual brewery setting, but the inconsistent service, weak drinks, missing menu item, and surprise sauce charge made this visit fall short of an ideal experience.

Support local brew houses. I've been visiting here since they opened in 2019 and have always admired their craftsmanship & creativity with their beers - especially the names...lol. . Most recently, their collabs with neighboring Rice Factory hv been tasty, pairing well with their hefty Hana burger and a Fried chicken sandwich special. Kindly requesting garlic truffle fries be brought to their regular menu - please (: . Excited to eventually attend one of their community events - I saw yoga on one of their ads?!...fun. . As usual, scoring a parking stall in the trippy mickey lot is still based on prayers & luck. Nonetheless, cheers to more beers & mems @ Hana Koa Brewing!

Had a vendor networking event here ... up in the Moon room (2nd floor). Great venue area that has a full bar, and easy to have business conversations without shouting ... we could order any drink on the menu! Sweet! I had the Lilikoi Mule and it was so refreshing. We had a buffet of prepared food items, which were all tasty. I was told that the pickled onion rings were super popular here! Made some great contacts for future business opportunities ... then finished the night off with a wonderful glass of wine. Love Hana Koa ... the bartenders upstairs provided excellent service, will be back soon.

This place has been on my list to try for a while. A coworker finally got me to get out. I was able to get a parking spot in their lot and appreciated the lady there that was making sure people parking were customers. The place looked cool inside and got busier into the early evening. I enjoyed the flight sampler. The food unfortunately was mostly dry. It seemed like the shrimp, wings, and pork belly sliders were all sort of dry. I think maybe it was an off night or something because I've heard great things about this place. I also love the collaborations on their labels especially the one with the Blood Bank of Hawaii. Thanks for helping to promote blood donation! Beer was a 5. Food that day was a 3.

came here right after our flight for a quick lunch! we came during happy hour and ended up ordering a few yummy beers and the mac and cheese for my daughter. we love us some mac and cheese and this one did not disappoint! my husband and i also shared the fish sandwich and it was so fresh and the perfect portion for us to split. our server was also super nice and attentive, which made for a great start to our vacation!

Pau Hana done right--craft beer, great food, and the beautiful game.

Hana Koa Brewing Co. Stopped by for a Pau Hana while in town, and it couldn't have been a better way to spend the afternoon. Good food, great craft beer, and the Mexico vs. Czech Republic FIFA World Cup match on the TVs. Moments like these remind us how sports can symbolize unity and world peace by bringing people from different cultures and backgrounds together. Food We shared the Beer Battered Fish & Chips, Bang-A-Rang Shrimp, and Eggplant Bruschetta. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The fish was crispy on the outside and flaky inside, the Bang-A-Rang Shrimp had just the right amount of crunch and flavor, and the Eggplant Bruschetta was a delicious starter. Drinks I ordered a beer flight with #5 Torchlight, #10 Hops for Hugs, #14 Rice Breaker, and #16 After Hours. After Hours was easily my favorite. My friend had a pint of #3 Aqueerius, a refreshing sour ale with raspberry limeade notes that he really enjoyed. Service & Atmosphere The staff were welcoming, friendly, and attentive throughout our visit. The brewery is spacious, clean, and a great place to relax with friends or catch a game. Parking is available along the side of the building, but spaces are limited. Great food, excellent beer, friendly service, and a fun atmosphere. Looking forward to coming back!

Came here expecting just a typical brewery, but it ended up being such a great spot. They have a full bar in addition to their beers, which is perfect if you're with friends who want cocktails or something different. The food was surprisingly good too -- definitely more than just typical bar snacks. Everything we ordered was really tasty and paired well with the drinks. The environment is one of my favorite parts. The space is big, lively, and really well designed, with a nice upstairs area that gives you a great view of the whole place. It's a fun vibe whether you're coming for drinks, food, or just hanging out. Overall a really solid spot with good drinks, yummy food, and a great atmosphere. I'd definitely come back.

Came here on a Sunday with some friends and food was good for a brewery. We made reservations online but we probably could have just walked in for a party of 4. They have ample seating both up and downstairs. When we were leaving, around 2p the place filled up. They had a big menu with some special Sunday brunch options too. I was craving a burger and it did not disappoint. Service was great- our server kept checking on us and let us chill for a while- we hadn't seen eachother in a while. Parking wise they have a good size lot that was empty on Sunday but I imagine is fills up at night. If not it's just street parking in the area. Overall it was a good experience and plan to be back!

A hidden gem worth trying. The service is great from the moment we came in. The hostess is welcoming and our server was friendly and attentive. This restaurant/bar is spacious with lots of seating. Their menu is easy to choose from and lots of variety of beers to try. I'm not a beer person so I choose a Lilikoi Mulē which was very good. My husband is a IPA drinker and he loved the ones he tried. The food we got was delicious and omg, their onion rings are soo good!! In my opinion, their onion rings are the best I have tried, lol. We also got the sliders and added a extra one. That also was good. Our friends got their specials which was a brisket plate. The portion was enough to feed 2-3 people. It is a very chill place with TVs to watch and restrooms are maintained. Parking is very limited. You need to be lucky if there is parking in their parking area or street parking. We ended up parking behind their building at ALTRES which was less than a 5 minute walk. (It's free after 5pm) Other than that, I definitely will come back again.

Good place if you're looking for a place to hang with a group of friends that not only has good beer but also a solid selection of food! The group got a few appetizers to share along with food and drinks. As I'm not much of a beer drinker, I got the Mango Li Hing Mui Seltzer which I liked. They also have plenty of mocktail options for those who don't drink but still want something different than the typical soda. We got our drinks and food pretty quickly except for when one of them asked for another beer and it took a while for him to get it. I got the Korean Style BBQ Short Ribs and my boyfriend got the Mando Mac N' Cheese and I enjoyed both of them! He thought his wasn't salty enough but I thought it was just right. Food items ordered: - Korean Style BBQ Short Ribs - Mando Mac N' Cheese - Garden Burger w/ Side Salad - Beer Battered Fish & Chips - OG Swiss Burger w/ Onion Rings & Ranch - OG Swiss Burger w/ Fries

    Where is the private parking?

They have a parking lot around the side of the building, or there is street parking.

Does this spot host a trivia night at all?

    Is this restaurant dog friendly?

Yes. If you have a service animal. They only have inside seating.

Do you have any non-wheat beers? For example, are any barley-based beers available?

Hi! Hana Koa currently doesn't serve wheated beers such as Hefeweizens. All of their beers are made with malted barley and other non-gluten adjuncts. If you're GLUTEN-SENSITIVE, the malted barley beers might enjoyed without much issue. HOWEVER,…

Yes, the food menu is available in the mezzanine

Everyone was very nice there and the space was a good sports bar to watch the World Cup at. We sat at the bar so we could see the TVs, but there were plenty around the restaurant. The food was mixed reviews. The shrimp fried rice was really good, a bit on the oily side (personally don't mind that) and lacked salt, but that was an easy fix. The special was this pork belly (I think) and honestly it didn't wow me. It was a bit bland and also the amount was so small. The Macaroni salad was good and rice was good. The slaw, to me, was too crunchy and could have marinated longer to soften up. Again, this dish lacked salt. The Pina Coladas, were very tasty and refreshing, but were too sweet so it was hard to get a second one and come close to finishing. I had my partner help me drink it because it was too much. I'd still go again and try other things on the menu and maybe ask for the colada to not be too sweet

Unfortunately, Lokahi Brewing's food missed the mark for me. Their brews were not bad, but there are other breweries in town that I prefer over Lokahi. I tried 4 different ones, and my favorite was the FLOOR IS GUAVA. Here's all the food we got: LOKAHI NACHOS w/ BIRRIA MEAT ($23) [3/5] - Portion was decent for $23, but the chips ran stale and there was uneven distribution of cheese and toppings throughout the nachos. Literally, one side had all the cheese and toppings. The birria meat didn't really taste of the classic Mexican spices that makes birria so good, it felt more like pulled pork. It was also dry. FRIED PICKLES ($10?) [2/5] - This was SO SALTY. I didn't really taste the tang of the pickles, felt like it was squeezed out of all its juice. It was ultimately just chips with a ton of salt. I downed two cups of water trying to finish these. Ultimately, I would come back to Lokahi Brewing for their shows and a brew or two, but I'll eat at home or elsewhere first before coming.

My partner and I had just finished a long hike and were excited to relax, enjoy a good meal, and watch the World Cup game. When we arrived, we approached the host stand to put our name on the waitlist. Instead of being greeted with a smile or any sense of hospitality, the host, Sarah, came across as very snarky, dismissive, and unwelcoming. She informed us there would be approximately a 45-minute wait, which we completely understood and were happy to accept. While waiting, we stood near the bar area so we could watch the World Cup match. Despite standing there for around 25 minutes, not a single bartender or employee acknowledged us, offered a menu, or even greeted us. Eventually, after about 30 minutes of waiting, a table in the bar area became available. Since it was empty, we sat down, assuming it was open. Within moments, the host approached us with the same rude attitude and told us that table was being held for another party. We politely asked to speak with a manager. Rather than responding professionally, she visibly rolled her eyes before going to get one, which only reinforced how unwelcome we felt. When the manager arrived, the interaction was equally disappointing. He never asked us what had happened or tried to understand our perspective. Instead, he immediately apologized and reiterated that the table was reserved for another waiting party. We didn't want to cause a scene, so we simply moved to another available bar table. What made the situation especially frustrating was that the original table they insisted was reserved remained empty the entire time afterward. No one was ever seated there while we watched. It left us questioning why such a rigid stance was taken over a seating arrangement that appeared easily manageable. The issue was never about having to move tables. We understand restaurants get busy and that hosts have to manage seating. The problem was the complete lack of hospitality, communication, and customer service. From the host's attitude and eye-rolling to the manager's unwillingness to listen before making a decision, we felt like an inconvenience rather than welcomed guests. As first-time customers, first impressions matter. We arrived excited to enjoy our evening, but instead left feeling ignored, dismissed, and genuinely unwelcome. A little kindness, professionalism, and a willingness to communicate could have completely changed this experience. Unfortunately, that's not what we received.

We brought our middle school aged kids and loved that they got a little science learning as the rum production was explained. Staff was all top notch, friendly and knowledgable. Tasting was really generous and my husband and I ordered different ones which allowed us to also try each other's tastings too. I got the cocktail one and he got the classic rum one. We bought some gifts for family member taking care of our dog and a special bottle for my upcoming birthday. Finally, our son LOVED the honey so bought a bottle of that as well. This was a nice way to break up all of our beach and pool days!
