If you're hanging out at South Shore Market, you *have* to check out Off the Wall--located right on the ground floor with tons of easy parking in the structure (huge plus for Kakaʻako). The drink selection is stacked: beers on tap, seltzers, mimosas--most featuring awesome local companies. The food does not miss either... those massive potato wedge fries (basically patatas bravas) are a must. Definitely come with friends and order a bunch to share. Quick heads up: they'll hold a card to start your tab, but you can close out with cash if you want. Service was super hospitable and helpful, and the vibe is a whole mood--cool, moody, and perfectly chilled since it's connected inside South Shore Market. Plus, you're surrounded by other food spots and boutiques within walking distance. Love it here

Unique concept--self pour taps and pay by the ounce. You get a card when you come in and put it on the tap you select and pour your beer. It tracks how much and keeps a running total til your done. I liked it that I could try just a taste of a beer before pouring a whole glass. And the food was excellent too!

I love coming here to try new beers. A lot of my favorite breweries have ciders and beers here. I like the self pour concept the most. Most times when I want to drink, but not a full beer I will suggest this place to my friends. They have beer, ciders, and wine. You check in with your ID and card at the front and they give you a "beer card" for your self-pour. Prices are reasonable but food is on the pricier side. I like the ambience. They have indoor and outdoor seating. This place is also dog friendly. Sometimes their projector will be operating with mainly football playing. I recommend this place if you're into beers! Parking is easy and located in the South Shore Market Place.

Great place to meet up with friends before or after exploring the Kaka'ako District. There's limited seating but sports a wall full of self-service taps from beer, wine, ciders and more. Everything is sold by the ounce and each pour gets automatically measured and added to your tab. This small restaurant has a large menu, but I didn't get a chance to try the food on this stop.

Ahi nachos with surprise topping of caviar! Large chunks of ahi too!

Our first time here. Located in South Shore Market on the Diamond Head side - it's across the street from Panya and Tango's. Free parking in South Shore garage. Hostess takes our credit card first then issues us their own cards to use for each tap. There are only high tables with stools inside. Regular height tables are outside inside the mall, or outside on street. Seat yourself and start trying beer, wine or make your own mimosas. The card they give you is placed on the tap, it will light up green, then you may pull tap. Once you stop pouring, the screen at tap will show ounces you poured and the cost. This automatically gets billed to the charge card you left with hostess. We tried all kinds of beer- loved the local ones like Guava Lava, Strawberry Shaved Ice, but hubby enjoyed his IPAs and Hefe. I tried the Russian River white wine but wasn't at the temperature I prefer, so mixed myself a mimosa from the Prosecco tap and orange juice tap! Ono!! When you wish to order food, and you will, head to the same hostess stand and she punches in the order for you, will then bring to your table with napkins and cutlery. She was very good and made sure we were doing okay. Food- We ordered the right things! Calamari was the best I'd ever had, the right flavor, crunch without too much, and perfect size. The ahi nachos were awesome and thrilled with plentiful chunks of ahi with a surprise of caviar topping! The chicken wings were nice fat tender ones with choice of sauce. Then we needed sweets and they have several desserts so we loved the churros all cut up with choc sauce and side of fruit with whipped cream. The experience was fun - trying all the beers was something hubby loved and the food was a definite win! So much so that we ordered the fried chicken sandwiches to take home for dinner! Also yum!!

Been here a few times since moving to the area. Good location at Ward Village. Plenty of parking if you need it. Cool concept of being able to pour your own drinks. Good selections of drinks and food . Happy hour is not bad either. Drinks are self serve. Nice chill bar/lounge ambiance. Outdoor seating is available as well.

Brussel Sprouts

First time here and we were hungry! Ordered the poke nachos & Brussel sprouts. Let me say the cashier/host/server Scott was excellent, friendly and professional. Unfortunately, the wonton chips for the nachos were perfectly cooked however, horribly over salted with flaky sea salt! Absolutely awful, my friend and I were so bummed because this dish was really excellent with both green and black tobiko and the poke quality was amazing! The brussel sprouts were crispy and quite good, but also a little too salty for my taste but otherwise crispy and good bacon bits! The space was clean and air-conditioned and we really liked being able to try whatever beers we wanted at whatever amount we chose. Great variety of beers on tap!

Came on the evening of Valentine's Day. It was fairly crowded but the staff were amazing and attentive. It was our first time going but the host did an amazing job showing us the ropes and getting us seated. We had a reservation, so we were able to sit away from the bar seating area. The food was great and served quickly. My favorite were the fries! If you're looking for a casual date spot, this is your place. You can't go wrong with live music and good eats!

I was hungover as hell and I was about to crash out that morning cuz scratch kitchen was closed next door for renovations. I very loudly proclaimed that I was going to take my own life and the fella stacking chairs on the patio of Off the Wall was like "oh? You guys want brunch? You have fifteen minutes over here if you wanna come in" and I was immediately sold. Ten out of five points for customer service and five of those points are for the food! We got the pancakes and the breakfast bagel. I took a picture of the pancakes and they were exactly what I needed, the fruit compote was so yummy too! I would totally buy jars of the jam if they were available. I didn't get a picture of my bagel but I really wish I did because the presentation was nice! Two eggs, bacon, cheese, bagel, fries on the side. Best hangover meal ever. Despite the hangover though, the beer wall was very enticing especially because it's by the ounce .... Next time though! Thanks for saving my life this morning :] I will definitely be back

I've only been to OTW a couple times but never for their brunch which is available on Sat & Sun from 10-2 am. I'm not a big beer drinker but you know I love a good brunch. It's located in South Shore Market in Ward. What we ordered: Smoked Gravlax -- Big Time Bagel (half) with tobiko cream cheese + pickled red onions + home fries. I want a side of this tobiko cream cheese to take home! OTW Pancakes -- 2 Pancakes w/berry compote and dulce de leche whipped cream Biscuits & Gravy -- House biscuits w/2 fried eggs w/chorizo sausage Breakfast Chimichanga -- Filled with scrambled eggs, chorizo, shredded cheese and chipotle We also ordered a side of their wedge fries. Everything was pretty good here! No complaints. I especially liked my bagel and the pancakes.

So grateful for Scott and the entire team at Off the Wall for providing Tool Army with a perfect location to gather and enjoy delicious food and drinks! Will definitely be back! Mahalo!

This was my first time at a pour-yourself style beer/wine location. Apparently they exist back in CA/NV but I've never been to one until this location in Hawaii! Everything is done through a card that you tap above each tap which measures how much of which beverage you've poured. This was great for me because I am not super familiar with what styles of beer I really prefer so it was nice being able to experiment a bit without committing to a giant glass of beer that I might not like. They had a pretty wide variety and I really enjoyed some of their pilsner and sour options! The location was also great as it was located in a shopping area so we were able to walk around and visit some local boutique shops as well.

The burgers are always delicious, and we've made many memories here over the years. I even celebrated my graduation with my family here, and the owner has always been incredibly warm and friendly. I still remember him greeting us from the back after we finished eating and made time to chat with us which I appreciate. That's why writing this review is honestly difficult. I spent the whole day debating whether to post this because I've always loved this place, but I left yesterday feeling deeply disappointed and heartbroken. Yesterday's experience was very different from what we've come to expect. We arrived before 1:30 PM, placed our order around 1:40 PM, and didn't receive our food until after 2:10 PM--over 30 minutes later. I completely understand that Saturdays are busy and delays happen. What hurt more was seeing several customers who arrived after us, and even ordered after us, receive their food first. There was even a group we chatted with who came in after us, ordered after us, got their food before us, and were almost finished eating while we were still waiting. Being left there without any explanation made me feel overlooked, and I honestly couldn't help feeling hurt and wondering whether we were being discriminated because we looked different. We've lived here for over eight years, and our family has always tried to be respectful and supportive of the local community. Maybe that's part of why this experience affected me so deeply. I may be wrong, and I truly hope I am, but I couldn't help leaving with a feeling of being discriminated against. The service from the beginning also felt very unlike our previous experiences. When we arrived and said we wanted to order takeout, the server did not give us a menu. We had to look for one ourselves. She walked away and started doing something else without saying anything to us. In the past, staff were always welcoming, handed us menus, and gave us time to decide. What made it more disappointing was that after we finally received our order, there was no acknowledgment or apology. I noticed the server apologizing to other customers, especially Japanese customers (I understand some Japanese), which honestly made the experience even more upsetting for me. I truly hate writing this because this place means a lot to my family. Maybe this was just one bad day, and I sincerely hope it was, because we've loved Carl Oji for years. I also want to say I'm sorry to the owner. When we were leaving, he shouted "thank you" to us like he always does, and I couldn't bring myself to reply. Maybe it will take me some time before I'm ready to come back after this experience. I truly hope things improve because this place has been special to my family for a long time, and that's exactly why this hurt so much.
