My company end of year party was held here last weekend. This is a great location to host a party. There is definitely plenty of space and seating. We had a party of over 120 people and there was still plenty of space to walk around and talk story. It seems as though they could fit a party of over 200 people here. This venue also has a nice bar area and provides their own bartenders. The bartenders were really nice. We did hire a separate catering service for the food. I would totally recommend hosting your next company party, bday party, or wedding reception here! read more

Here are the many reasons why I would highly recommend: * I planned an entire party from the mainland and Burt (the point of contact) was wonderful to communicate with, even with a 6 hour time difference. He was very thorough with his information and what my expectations could be *multi level garage with FREE parking *the venue...oh, the venue!!! It was huge. Our party was for about 80 people, but it can easily hold triple that. The venue supplied all tables and chairs...you get to bring everything else. Being able to pick my own caterer, decorator, etc...was perfect. Burt coordinated with me to get all vendors in on time and allowed me to store things a bit earlier if needed. *the bar tenders were phenomenal!!! My drink was never empty and so many guest had great compliments for the waitress and bar tender *the in house DJ was excellent. He had the entire group, from 25-75 years old, dancing *the price was ridiculously inexpensive. B Side is truly there to provide an amazing venue for ohana to come together I want to move to Honolulu so I can do more parties here read more

We attended an event and discovered a line of unopened BuzzBallz in the women's restroom. As we were leaving the area, an employee entered, referenced the BuzzBallz specifically, and we immediately handed them over. Despite cooperating and explaining that the items were not ours, and that we had no bags or belongings capable of carrying them, we were removed from the venue without further discussion. Attempts to speak with a manager were unsuccessful, leaving the situation unresolved and extremely disappointing. Very frustrating. read more

Graduation Celebration in Honolulu, Hawaii... Remember the good old days when we used to go to Ryan's at the Ward Centre and enjoy each other's company? Well... You can create more happy memories at the former Ryan's... Consider BSIDE lounge + venue for your next event! My sister is a fantastic party planner! She just needed a venue to make her ideas a reality! She heard of BSIDE lounge + venue by word of mouth. Her caterer, decorations team, and set up crew were all in place and ready to go! Good points: * Free covered parking, but low ceiling for taller vehicles * Clean, convenient restroom * Efficient bartender also operated the sound system * Two security guys at the door carded guests, applied appropriate wristbands, didn't let minors go in and out without their parents, and helped us clean up * Servers were efficient and helpful. They removed used plates and wiped tables down when we were leaving * Lots of tables for receptionists, gifts, supplies, cake, party favors, etc * Spacious enough for our party of about 150 people, but can go up to maybe 200? We arrived at 3pm to set up for the 5pm start time. The numerous tables in the front served as our assembly line to create the unique centerpieces. We were able to place the centerpieces on high top tables for two, low coffee tables, and long tables for groups. The variety of seating areas accommodated couples and families alike! The competent bartender doubled as the sound system guy. He turned out to be the manager - and also the guy who unlocked the door for us when we arrived. Sam is the jack of all trades! The food station was manned by my brother-in-law, some friends, and my nephew. They refilled the Hawaiian cuisine from the warmers. The food was catered by Kanak Attack Two. They provided all of the serving spoons and tongs. If you don't have a caterer, BSIDE will give you a list of suggestions. Burt Kawasaki is the gracious and friendly owner of BSIDE lounge + venue. He, his wife and children stopped in to congratulate my niece on her accomplishments! Thanks to Burt and his staff for a very successful Graduation Party! Our Xmas party was recently held there and it is a great place to hold any type of venues there. It's very spacious and would highly recommend it. I attended my friend's baby shower at this venue. The servers were awesome, and there was plenty of space for kids to run around. They even have a stage area perfect for performances. The daytime view was amazing. Conveniently, the bathroom is located inside the venue, and there's a smoking area just outside on the lanai with a beautiful Aloha backdrop, ideal for taking pictures. read more

Came here for a baby's first birthday on 12/22. The space was pretty big, perfect for a birthday party venue. Plenty of room for lots of guests, and even a designated smoking area for those who needed it. The wait staff was friendly and attentive, and I'm impressed considering how many people there were in attendance. The food was catered, so I don't really have anything to say about it in this review, but there was a bar that had really friendly bartenders and a good selection of liquor and beer. I would definitely recommend this place to any of my other friends that are looking for a venue space in town. read more

This place is awesome. My niece had her grad party here and I appreciated so many things here. I appreciate the good air conditioning because a lot of places you go to although it may have a.c. it tends to get hot as the place gets crowded and it was not the case in this place. I also appreciate the smoking section on the balcony because I am unfortunately still a smoker and with so many places which seem to discriminate and discourage smokers, I was happy to have this accommodation. The bar was amazing and the bartenders were so friendly and good. The venue was really nice, clean, and very well kept. My ONLY issue was that you are not allowed to have warmers for your food so I suggest you have your food delivered close to a time you want your guests to eat otherwise they just have to deal with cold food. This is sadly the ONLY reason it is rated 4 stars instead of a perfect 5. read more

Located in Ward Center on the 2nd floor, this place was rented as a party venue to accommodate about 150 people. Cold AC all throughout, clean restrooms (total must have for me), and lots of parking. Super spacious! All the guests, tables, & chairs and it was not uncomfortable to walk around. Ample stage for bands and a dance floor. Food area could be upgraded a bit but it was good enough for us with counter & storage space and a little sink to wash hands. Bartenders were great. The view of Ala Moana Beach park was just gorgeous at sunset!! One of the best venues in town for sure. I can see this place being a go-to for our family. read more

SUCH AN AWESOME VENUE! We had our son's first birthday party at Bside and it was perfect! Throughout the planning stage Bert and his staff were responsive to texts and answered all our questions. We had the freedom to have any vendor we wanted, configure the venue how we wanted, and how to meet the bar minimum however we wanted. There were an overwhelming amount of options on how we wanted to run the bar (pay for soft drinks only, or alcohol, or provide wristbands to cover certain people, etc.). We had 2 bartenders, a security guard at the front door, Sam the bar manager, Chris the audio/tech guy, and other members of the staff working very hard. They were constantly moving around the venue picking up trash, talking to guests, and communicating with us throughout the night. read more

I was thinking of holding an event but i'm trying to find a catering company that has food warmers that look like coolers as they don't allow open flame(sterno) in the facility. I cannot express how thankful we are for Burt and the crew at BSide. I had to find a venue for my daughter's grad party at the last minute. We were hesitant to book and commit to anything because of how the Covid restrictions were being handled at the time. After attending a party here a few months back I had to inquire. Burt is such a nice guy. He responded very quickly and was very accommodating. He was easy to communicate with and open with suggestions for what would work and what wouldn't. During the walkthrough and seeing the venue in daylight, I fell in love with how spacious it was and it had everything we needed: tables, chairs, stage, lights, bathrooms, parking, smoking area, security, and on-site staff. Can't forget about the ambiance as well. It had enough room for the vendors and an area big enough for a catering line. Just know that there is no refrigerator/freezer or sink to wash pots and pans. We just used coolers and bought some dry ice for frozen items. It wasn't a big deal. It's located at Ward Village, formally Ryan's Grill, and right at the top of the escalator. The bartender, waitress, security and even the sound guy Chris was on point and made sure our party went smoothly. Hands down the best decision we made concerning our party. read more
