Is how I finally got to give them a try and this is one reason that I do love going to these events as it's a great way to find various bites and though I do love my pasta find a hearty sandwich is also something that I do crave. With the name Aloha Pizzaria you wouldn't think that you'd find sandwiches here but gosh yes you do and it's not just one but four different ones and though hearty doesn't always have to be layers of meats and cheeses but the load of veggies and that's what I found here amongst the samples they have laid out it was easy decision with the "Veggie Panino". Between fluffy focaccia bread are sun-dried tomatoes, roast peppers, onions and arugula with each side of bread is a smear of hummus and pesto it was stunning fresh bite. I have eaten at Aloha Pizzeria a few times now and the pizza has been great. I have had the meat lovers, pepperoni, now Hawaiian. All were great. The slices are huge. 1 slice is equal to one quarter if the large. The crust is thinner like I like but it firm and crunchy. There is not greasy like other pizzas I have tried. Beware of the pizza spot inside this food hall! I walked over to the pizza place, which looked like the only option left. The guy working there seemed busy but capable--he was multitasking, taking and filling orders. But the young woman helping him was clearly overwhelmed and untrained. She had a thick accent (which wasn't the issue), but her communication and accuracy were seriously lacking. She rang me up for two slices of pizza--$25. For what ended up being stale, hard pizza... totally not worth it. And then the real kicker--when I went to pick up my order, she handed me an EMPTY pizza box. I said, "Excuse me, there's nothing in here," and she just looked at me like I was crazy. I even turned the box upside down in front of the other customers--completely empty! People around me were visibly shocked. Thankfully, the guy stepped in and said, "Oh yeah, your pizza's right here," but still--how does that even happen? Needed a quick lunch fix and found Aloha Pizzeria! Located inside the Kuhio Avenue Food Hall which is inside of the International Market Place. Plenty of seating with Aloha Pizzeria being located inside the foot court. The food court is not your normal food court/cafeteria. It has a bar and lots of different cozy areas to sit. The gentleman taking orders and slinging pizzas was awesome. Very friendly and asked where we were visiting from. I am pretty sure he was a one man show and he was killing it! The pizza slices are huge! I think it is ¼ of a normal whole pizza? So come hungry. We got the Hawaiian which has pineapple and Canadian bacon and the toppings were pretty skimpy. This was another really good place at the Kuhio Ave Food Hall! I got the Supreme Pizza. They have two pizza sizes; a medium that is 14" and a large that is 20". We chose to get the large for our party. A large Supreme is $38. (Medium size pizzas are priced at $19-$25). Though the pizzas are a bit on the steep side; they are pretty big and they come with lots of toppings. I though the pizza was quite flavorful and enjoyed all the veggies, sausage and pepperoni that were sprinkled throughout. Each pizza here is made fresh upon order and so it was also nice to enjoy a piping hot pizza. The one thing that really stuck out for me about this place was the great customer service! It was a one man show up front with the cashier who was also bringing out the pizzas. Despite him being super busy; he was kind and accommodating. He kept a smile on his face and was helpful with refills of soda and water. (This place also gives free soda upon check-in). In Waikiki during the Kona Low and the power went out everywhere. It finally came back but this was the only spot that opened back up so you can imagine they were feeding tons of people. The service was not friendly. They were only churning out cheese and hawaiian pizzas to save time so we had a cheese pizza and it was fine. Love the food here! So delicious. I order the fettuccine and can't get over this garlic bread. So fluffy and buttery. My husband ordered the penne and got a couple pizzas. Unlimited refills on the fountain . Service was great deliver to the table cooked a new set of pizza for us. Love the ambience with the football game playing on. The screens tables are always clean. If you're looking for a good pizza in Hawaii, don't expect to find the pizza's we have here on the mainland. Hawaii has great musubi, but pizza is generally, not their forte. If Aloha Pizzeria were on the mainland, I would probably rate them differently. But it's Waikiki, and this is about as good as it gets if you're really craving pizza. I thought the service and wait time were decent - if you're here in the busy months, expect a wait, or order on-line, or go relax at the bar right there behind the counter. It is located in a food mall market, but it's chill with lots of seating. Hawaiian pizza has "chunks" of ham - not the thin slices of Canadian bacon many of us are use to - which was good. Aloha Pizzeria is in the Kuhio Ave Food Hall of the International Marketplace in Waikiki and possibly run by the same owners as La Piña Cantina. The workers were wearing the La Piña Cantina shirts. Several pizzas were displayed in their display cases which can be purchased by the slices and re-heated. They had the basic pizzas such as cheese, pepperoni, sausage, veggie, supreme & Hawaiian pizza. Perhaps the tourists would want to try the Hawaiian pizza. You can order by the whole pie (14" Medium /20" Large) or by the slices. They have 3 type of pastas: spaghetti with tomato sauce, Alfredo fettuccine, meat sauce over penne pasta. You can add chicken for additional $3. Also available were a side salad and two desserts: Tiramisu and Pineapple cheesecake. I was contemplating if I wanted to pay $10 for a supreme slice then I noticed the Aloha Special on the screen menu board! You can make your pizza slice a combo with a caesar salad & small drink for additional $4. Possibly the cashier was new, she said it's only for a salad until I pointed it out on the screen menu. I got my small drink and my supreme pizza slice re-heated. Good thing I remembered about the side salad when I was leaving. I know prices is expected to be a bit higher in Waikiki and I forgot to ask if they offer Kama'aina discount like some other businesses in the International Marketplace. I guess for the additional $4 was a good deal. I didn't expect the side salad to be in paper food tray. She was nice to put the tray in a bowl container since I was taking it home. They used chopped romaines,sprinkled with parmesan cheese. Dressing could have been mixed a little more since it tasted more milky. Anyways, the Supreme pizza was better and it looked like the best choice from the other pizzas. Even though the previous restaurants were no longer there, I'm glad some new restaurants started to open up in the Kuhio Ave Food Hall of the International Market Place. Although Aloha Pizzeria was not as busy, there were a lot tourists dining in the food hall. To enter the food hall, vaccination card were checked at the Kuhio Ave entrance. Huge slices of not very good pizza, and probably one of the worst food options in the Kuhio Ave. Food Hall. The only reason we paid $8 for a single slice was because our kids wanted cheese pizza and this was the only option. I imagine being one of the few kid-friendly options in this food hall is their primary source of business because frankly, the pizza is just not good. I don't wanna be too negative here, but I don't understand the concept of serving giant slices of pizza like this. Usually the benefit of ordering pizza by the slice is so you can try different ones without buying the whole pie. But here, the slices are so big that no normal human being can eat more than one. So you're stuck with one giant and expensive slice of pizza with a doughy crust, rubbery cheese and devoid of any flavor whatsoever. They warmed it up in their pizza oven. Pizza crust is tasty, with a nice crunchy texture. We ordered the pepperoni and it was fairly good.
