Spinach garlic tomato and Fungo slices
    Jaymi U.

Definitely a must try pizza spot. You can order pizzas whole or by the slice. I got a couple of slices to try. The spinach garlic tomato was probably my favorite of the two but the fungo was also really good. The crust is amazing and the pizzas are so flavorful. The shop is a bit small with table and bar seating. We were able to get a seat inside when we went. Overall, really liked this place and will be back!

The pizza is delicious but what I'VE been dreaming about non stop since the one time I got it, is the cannoli!!!! They have multiple flavors but I have the vanilla one with pistachios. Soooo good! Next time I drive out to town I'm going here. I wish I got a better pic of it! Staff is super nice and there's "bar" style seating where you can watch everything happen in the kitchen as well as regular table seating.

Thin crust pizza lovers, this is your sign. I've been back a few times now and everything I've tried has been delicious! So far I've tried most of the menu: Fungo, Spinach Garlic Tomato, Buffalo Chicken Ranch, and Margherita, Supreme, Pepperoni Playboy, plus some desserts, because who can resist? For the indecisive folks, or wanna try everything but don't want to commit to a whole pizza, you can do large individual slices so you can try more of them! The Fungo and Supreme was probably my favorites, but honestly all of the slices had a great sourdough crust and tasted fresh. The Buffalo Chicken Ranch was especially delicious, perfect for when you're craving buffalo wings but in carb form. I also enjoyed the Spinach Garlic Tomato since it was brushed with an addicting garlic confit. The Supreme probably takes #1 with all those extra toppings and house made sausage and The Fungo's béchamel sauce with mushrooms is chef's kiss. The desserts were also worth saving room for. I ordered the desserts to go, the chewy pistachio chocolate chip cookie which was bigger than my hand, and half chocolate chip/ half pistachio cannoli which was so good I regretted only getting one. Definitely one of my new favorite pizza spots!

I first tried mad pie at the Italian fest and I had to go back immediately. I was disappointed in myself for sleeping on this place! It's one of the best pizzas you can get on the island, and their portions are huge! They have both slices and whole pizzas available. They use Flatiron pepper flakes which is one of my personal favorites! On top of that, all of the staff and management were so friendly :-)

Trying another pizza spot on O'ahu. My daughter picked this place and headed to this new to us, pizza shop. An affordable and fresh option near the Kaka'ako Mart. This gem located in a small area with parking in a small garage across the street. You get one hour free. Parking my 4Runner was a tight fit. The cheese was a hit and the whole box was eaten, not a single slice went tk waste or into the fridge. The meat, mushroom combo pizza was a hit for my husband and son. The buffalo pizza was gone as soon as I got home. I'd like the ranch on the side next time though, as delicious and fresh as it is, it was a little over whelming as the topper. Luckily I love my crust dripped in ranch. If they had a chaser dressing it would be over for me, it's better than ranch on crust lol. I thought the tomato, spinach, garlic was mediocre (compared to Boston's pizza) but if it had red sauce as the base this would be delicious. I think I'll try to order that in the further for a whole pie. We were lucky to see the owner in all his glory making pizza. Not sure if he spends a lot of time there but he seems nice. The shop has a small cooler at the entrance with drinks and there a round table in the back for large families. There's some bar seats where you can watch the kitchen while they make your pizza.

I love novelty stuff. Got the limited Harissa Hut slice that was running for a week. (Their instagram ad got me). Smokey, complex, well-seasoned on top of an absolutely solid pie. There is a lot of crust but it was so crispy yet bouncy and overall delicious. Can't wait to see what the next drop is. Their workers are friendly and have an awesome attitude. Seems like a great work environment! I don't think they validate Down to Earth parking- there's street parking and first hour at HMart is free.

I've been seeing this spot being mentioned on my social media a few times. I saw some videos / photos of lines out of the door which slightly deterred me from visiting for the longest time. However, after my friend mentioned checking it out, I thought why not (at least I'd have company while waiting). Luckily there wasn't much of a wait, we pretty much arrived and was able to immediately place our order. Then we just waited around 15-20 minutes for our pie to be made. They have a smaller sized establishment, its located kind of within the Kakaako apartment complexes. There's around 4-5 tables (seats ~4 ppl per table). They have a few pies ready made and sold by the slice or you can order your own pie. It was pretty bustling inside, very lively environment of people munching on pizza and socializing. We got the supreme, even though the supreme had a BUNCH of toppings listed, generous is NOT the word I'd use for the amount of toppings. This was OUR fault but we did NOT realize that there was black olives on the pizza (we both hate black olives). However, since there were sooo little of each ingredient I honestly could barely taste of olives. Other than the skimpy amount of each topping on the pizza, it was pretty good. The dough and crust was really good, not too doughy but having a nice bite. It is a very flat pizza, like a new York pizza. I'm not 100% sure if I'd come back as nothing particular about it blew me away, but I think if I got the chance I may come back to try some of their individual slices to try a larger variety (and one that DOESN'T have black olives LOL).

Our new favorite go to pizza by the slice shop! We love that they have fun flavors to try weekly. Our favorite combos have been: Taco pizza , buffalo chicken, and the fungi!

I was craving a good slice of pizza, so my boyfriend and I decided to check out Mad Pie. It's a casual pizza spot and I liked how they display all of their pizza options up front so it can help you decide before ordering. I ordered a slice of the Buffalo chicken ranch and the Fungo mushroom pizza, and I enjoyed both. The slices were generously topped and tasty. The Fungo was probably my favorite, it had a subtle truffle flavor and was loaded with mushrooms. The Buffalo chicken ranch was also good, but the ranch was a little too tangy for me. My boyfriend ordered the Fungo as well as a pepperoni-jalapeño pizza (possibly a daily special). He enjoyed the Fungo but felt the pepperoni slice had a slightly unusual flavor. It looked like they heat each slice to order, and they add any finishing sauces or drizzles before serving, such as the buffalo sauce on my slice. The staff was friendly, the food came out quickly, and the pizza slices were quite large! Overall, Mad Pie is a great spot if you're looking for a quick and satisfying bite. I'd stop by again to try their other pizzas!

Mad Pie is such an awesome addition to the Kaka'ako community. Not only is the pizza unique and delicious, but the service and vibes of this pizza spot are immaculate. I LOVE their Buffalo Chicken Ranch pizza -- it's so flavorful without feeling overly oily or rich. Their Cheese Pizza is also a really good classic, and their cannolis are iconic. You have to get their Ube Cannoli! Vibe: There's a handful of tables inside and outside of the restaurant. They do takeout, but j highly recommend eating the pizza there so you can enjoy its crispy texture while it's fresh. You can see the staff making the food over the counter. They're also dog friendly, which makes it perfect for those who want to enjoy a meal with their furry friend. Parking: There's paid parking in the condo parking lot that Mad Pie is located near. There's also metered and free street parking throughout the area.

After looking over the menu options, we stood waiting for quite a while before anyone acknowledged us or took our order. The manager seemed rude and unwelcoming, which immediately set a negative tone for the visit. Looking back we should have trusted our first impression, but we decided to give it a chance and see what the hype was about. We each ordered a slice of pizza and took it outside to eat. After eating , we walked past the glass wall of the cafe and I noticed the manager handling and mixing flour with his bare hands, with the flour mixture covering his hands and forearms. I didn't expect to see food prep without disposable gloves and it made me uncomfortable. The pizza itself didn't make up for the experience. At around $22 per slice, I was expecting something exceptional or life-changing, instead, it was pretty underwhelming. The flavor, texture, and overall quality just didn't justify the premium price. Between the unfriendly service, concerns about food handling, and the disappointing pizza, I don't feel the experience was worth the cost of overpriced slices of pizza and I will not be returning nor will I recommend Little G Cafe to others. There are plenty of other pizza spots in Honolulu, including Boston's Pizza, that offer better value and a much more welcoming atmosphere.

There aren't much frills so you can have water or soda from their mini fridge. Almost like going to a corner pizza place in the city. Sandwiches available sometimes. Overall this is the second best NY style pizza place after black shamrock by a small margin - the Jersey pie at shamrock with its awesome sauce and perfect crust is hard to beat but don't think you can order it by the slice. About 10 minutes before my 2:00 PM pickup time, I received a text letting me know my order was ready, which was a nice surprise. I ordered the IL Parma sandwich, and it was absolutely delicious. At $24, it's definitely on the expensive side for a sandwich, but the quality of the ingredients and the freshness made it worth every penny. The flavors were fantastic, and I didn't mind paying the premium price after taking that first bite. Parking can be a little tricky. I'm not sure whether customers are allowed to use the Hana Koa parking lot for quick pickups, but a kind employee allowed me to park there while I ran in to grab my order. There are only a few parking spaces directly in front of Bocconcino, so that's something to keep in mind. There's some tables under a covered area, right next to the store. Many people were seated there talking story and enjoying drinks. Overall, a great experience and an excellent sandwich. I'll definitely be back for another Italian sandwich!

In addition to food they have a small shop stocked with goodies from Italy, which adds to the charm. The pizza crust was fantastic crispy and delicious. My only complaint is that I wish it had more sauce. I'm a saucy gal! The bite that had a good amount of sauce was incredibly flavorful, but the rest of the slice was a bit dry, and I tasted more oil than tomato sauce. It was great dough but the flavor was not there for me. I really want to love this pizza more! The staff was friendly, though it took a little while to get my slice. They reheat each slice to order, and they were busy making other items, so it was understandable. I'll be back to try a panini!

Aroma Italia - Monserrat | Waikiki-Kapahulu-Diamond Head area - Island of Oahu…read more Onolicious! Lately I've been dining on soups like pho and ramen, lamb curry stews, and snacking on real fruit smoothies, and I felt like I needed a change of pace. However, I didn't realize I had this burning desire until I saw the foodie pics here on Yelp. It was then that I seriously wondered how I could inject a little more variety into my foodie repertoire. I saw this restaurant listed on Yelp and immediately thought, Ooh, what about Italian??? :D Myself replied: Mmm, that sounds tantalizing, Jules Y.! :D After perusing the menu to make sure I wasn't gonna miss out on a thing, it only took a few seconds for me to hone in on the two items I ultimately ordered: * 16" Florentine pizza (gigante) * Gnocchi Gorgonzola with added mushrooms I added mushrooms to the gnocchi dish, which was a fantastic decision I would not want to go without on future dines of this dish. The pizza was a thin crust topped with luscious mozzarella, rough-chopped garlic, spinach, and ricotta cheese. The gnocchi contained chicken chunks, potato gnocchi, luscious cream sauce, and the mushrooms I added. The Florentine immediately caught my eye. I'm particular about not eating sausage, pepperoni, and other typical pizza meats, so this cheese-and-spinach combination was exactly what I was looking for. I expected something around a medium-sized pizza, but what arrived was this unexpectedly large pie sitting inside a huge, flat pizza box. It seemed enormous! The crust was thin with a nicely fire-charred edge, while the center was packed with luscious cheesy goodness. Random dollops of ricotta, spinach leaves, and these entirely unexpected little chunks of fresh, soft, juicy garlic created little flavor explosions throughout every bite. It made eating the pizza fun because each slice was a little different. Although I thought I was hungry enough to eat a lion, I naturally stopped after only a couple of slices. That turned out to be a bonus because I had delicious leftovers for lunches and dinners over the next couple of days. The Gnocchi Gorgonzola was a different experience altogether. Tender potato gnocchi were coated in a thick, luscious cream sauce with chunks of chicken scattered throughout. The mushrooms I added were thinly sliced and blended in perfectly with the gnocchi, chicken, and creamy sauce. My only criticism is that the dish was saltier than I would have preferred. I think using about half as much salt would have allowed the flavors of the gnocchi and sauce to shine through even more. Aside from that, every bite was pleasantly chewy, rich, creamy, and satisfying. The sauce was everywhere--and that is definitely a good thing. Yum! These two dishes complemented each other perfectly because they offered completely different flavors and textures. The rich, cheesy Florentine pizza paired wonderfully with the creamy Gnocchi Gorgonzola. If I eat here again, I'll probably order these exact same dishes. If you enjoy Italian food as much as I do, I suspect you'll enjoy Aroma Italia's menu.

LOVED THE CANNIBALE PIZZA !!!…read more I also ordered the linguine with pink sauce and added meatballs and sausage. It was excellent. I think I would probably order it again but with the marinara sauce. The garlic bread with mozzarella cheese was good but I would order the regular garlic bread since it's less rich and would pair better with the entree. I think the garlic bread with mozzarella cheese would be great as an appetizer though. The ingredients on both the pasta and pizza were very generous. If I were to take friends out for Italian food I would bring them here.
