The taste is what you'd expect from Korean fried chicken - I don't think it necessarily stood out from other chains I've tried, but it wasn't bad either. Unfortunately we had gotten home when we realized this and their options were to refund the rice or give us a voucher for a combo for later. We chose the latter. I ordered the #2 ($11.95) consisting of 5 wings and fries and selected the soy garlic flavor. If you like spicy, there's a hot version of soy garlic available. Or you could do half and half. Not sure how half and half works with an odd number of wings though. The fries were nothing out of the ordinary, but the wings were exceptional, with that signature thick crispy crunchy skin and tender meat. Scrumptious! Been here many times and I'm always back whenever my friends are in town visiting. Super casual, fast, chill, and good food! I've been here for lunch and dinner on weekends and weekdays and the food has always been consistent and the staff have always been friendly. Later in the evenings the place gets crowded, but it's always a good time. Love that they give our popcorn while you're waiting for the food. Overall, I was not too impressed with Mad For Chicken. We came on a Friday night and was seated immediately. When we were about to order, one of the servers approached us and asked if we can kindly move to a different table because there was a table of 8 waiting at the door and our seats were better suited for larger parties. The soy garlic and spicy garlic wings was wayyy too salty and the batter that the chicken was coated in was way too hard (when it cooled down a bit). We used our yelp check in bonus, which was one free shot of lychee soju, but instead, the server brought us the large jug of lychee soju and said it was on the house due to changing our tables last minute. My party and I had our meal, and proceeded to call for check. We paid for the meal, but after we had paid, I decided to double check the items on the receipt to make sure we weren't charged for the lychee soju (since it was on the house) .... but we were. I called the server over and at first, they were confused as to why I was claiming that I should not have to pay for the lychee soju, but they later realized it was because they moved our tables. 4/24/2021 - Love MFC but I'm removing a star for my experience last Sunday. Please feel free to check your cameras around a few minutes to 7 on Sunday, April 24, 2021 and tell me how your employee did not see me standing there. Ordered pickup to bring some MFC for my mom in Suffolk. Got to MCF, went to the bar area for pickup as usually. I saw three employees facing the cash register, the female on the left was on the phone taking an order (I leaned a little to left to see), the female in the middle was entering an order on the register, the male on the right seem to be helping her. He walks away to fill a pitcher with beer... while he does that he makes eye contact with me them looks away REALLY quick (understandable since not all people are comfortable with eye contact). Girl in the middle prints an order, turns around to find somewhere on the counter to tape the order. Mind you the entire time I'm DIRECTLY IN FRONT of her on the other side of the counter. Guy walks in and to the counter to my left with his phone to show the order he's picking up and the female now STEPS right (Her right) to help him. PLEASE tell me how she did not see me standing there the whole time waiting. Mind you I'm wearing a white dress with a floral Jacket (mostly reds) and I'm 6ft tall, so chances of missing me aren't high unless done intentional. I was about to put 1 star but I've had good service there on many occasions to let this one experience completely sour my mood to the place/franchise. I'm chilled when the manager rushed us a bit the weekend before since It's understandable limited space and people waiting for tables. I'm chilled when i go for my pick up order and it's no where to be found.
