Such horrible and crappy customer service. I went to the Macy's MAC makeup department originally because I wanted to purchase some make up product. They did not have the one I was looking for in stock, so I asked them where I could find something similar, so they suggested I go to Impulse Beauty in the same Macys store. I go over there and I walk over to one of the associates and tell her that I am looking for this and this. She refers me to another person, saying that this person is an expert for this makeup product. This other person is behind the counter helping someone else at that time, so I waited. Once the associate was done with the customer, I went over and asked for help and suggestions. At first this associate listens, but is obviously kinda glancing up and down my face (I didnt have any makeup on btw) and takes me over to this product. We go over to where the product is displayed, and the associate says, this is the product we have and for your skin tone, this would suit you. Then I said okay, well could you show me something else which is similar to this. I didnt want to purchase the entire palette, I was looking for something more compact. The associate then responds saying, this is the only one we have. Before I could look up from the product, the associate just walks away without even saying a word to go chit chat with the other associates that work at Impulse. Like seriously? You just walk away without even telling your customer, I'll be back or let me know if you need any help. On top of that this person didnt even ask me do you want to try on the product (like most makeup artists do). Just simply walked away. I just stood there for around 5 minutes thinking this person would come back, but no that did not happen. Maybe if the customer service was better and I got to try on the sample, I wouldve purchased it (even the palette). I am shocked and upset that I was treated that way, specially at a store like Macys in Pleasanton. I went over to Sephora's at JC Penny right after, and I was treated so well by the make up artists over there, they let me try on the products I was looking for and gave me great suggestions. Overall I had a great experience that was completely opposite of what happened at Impulse at Macys. I purchased the product I was looking for at Sephora's and left a very happy customer. Sorry Macys, your Makeup department just lost my business forever. I am appalled and disappointed by such terrible unprofessional customer service. From now on I'm going to be going to either Sephora's, the MAC Makeup Store or Nordstrom at Stoneridge for all my makeup needs. read more
