Much nicer than the SB Galleria. The Home section is triple the size. Store is cleaned and maintained. Staff has always been friendly.

Smaller than your average Macy's and interior is a bit outdated--reminds me of a Robinsons May if anyone remembers those. Conveniently located near my workplace so I can stop by for last minute gifts or quick shopping during lunch. It's also located near restaurants to do a quick lunch and shop. read more

This review is for the 'Sunglass Hut' inside of Macy's!! I was at the store on Sunday evening and purchased some Ray Ban Sunglasses. When I wanted to wear them on Tuesday morning on my traffic commute to work, I noticed they had a small scratch on the outside of the right lense. That evening when I got off of work I went into the store hoping to exchange them for another pair and was rudely and dismissively told by the associate that I was not able to do so because "I had scratched them " and they could no longer exchange or return them! WTF... I say to myself?! Baffled!!? Are you Effing kidding me?? When asked to speak to the manager she told me she wasn't there and when I demanded to speak to someone, she called from her cell phone, the so called manger who told me the exact same thing without even hearing my situation. These incompetent associates basically blamed me with no proof or evidence that I had scratched my unworn sunglasses mind you I Had Not Worn them and it doesn't say any such policy on the receipt or on Macy's website online!! Not only did I spend over $100 in Sunglasses that were damaged but to top it all of I'm being accused of scratching them is completely INFURIATING !! I am Upset, Angry and Stressed out over this whole situation and the lack of customer service from these Macy's associates. I will not rest assured till I get an exchange or my money back!!!! I am extremely disappointed and upset with Macy's Manhattan Beach. Your associate Azi Maghsoudnia is NOT friendly and NOT customer service oriented. She is only there for the commission. On March 22, 2017, I brought in my diamond ring that I purchased at Macy's due to one of the diamonds fell off. I did purchase the warranty to cover that. I asked her how long would it take to get it repaired and replaced. She estimated 1 1/2 weeks to 2 weeks. I trusted her, so I turned in my ring to get it repaired/replaced before my 13th Year Anniversary. It took 5 weeks to get it repaired/replaced. I missed out on my ring on my 13th Year Anniversary on 4/18/2018. I never got calls from Azi, so I started calling her. She always sounded annoyed and was always cutting my call short. Then after I filed a complaint, she then started calling me but it was one of those calls that she HAD to call me. She then started telling me about two different companies that repair/replace diamonds. As her being a Jewelry Consultant, she should of known better to not over promise and under deliver. Finally I got a call from her on 4/25/2017 that my ring is ready for pickup. When I went yesterday with my Mom, she embarrassed me out loud in front of other customers that I filed a complaint against her and I had to write another survey. This is NOT professional at all for Macy's because NO manager or corporate called me to hear my concern/complaint. I was extremely upset and disappointed in such a reputable company like Macys is going downhill with this absurd behavior. I told her because of this long time getting my ring back, I don't trust Macy's anymore and I wanted to check if my diamonds are real. She was getting upset and only checked two diamonds with the diamond scanner and told me that they are real and Macy's has a reputation to put real diamonds and so on. I gave her the benefit of the doubt, my Mom brought in a ring and a pair of earrings that she purchased at Macy's Manhattan Beach a couple of years ago for repair. Azi was very hesitant to take them. She told my Mom that she needed to go home and find the receipts for them. I told her that she didn't asked me for my receipts when she took in my ring. She said because she bought her ring and earrings years ago, they will not show on the system. I told her to still look it up by her phone numbers. Nothing came out. My Mom was still willing to pay for the repair services but because of her attitude really threw me off and got me upset, I told my Mom to take her jewelry elsewhere because this Macy's really sucks!!! I will never ever shop again at this Macy's location. Azi really stained my outlook for this store and trust me, you will never see me shopping there ever again. BTW, I am a blogger, I do NOT want to ever hear from her again or have her call me. She gets hostile and I do not want to take it to further action. If it were not for the coupons and some of the men's brands they carry, I would never go back there. You have to REALLY look for someone to give your money to when you are ready. Came here yesterday looking for brand new sheets and bedding. All though the customer service sucked, I did get a outstanding deal on 600 thread count sheets and a awesome duvet. This place is huge, and if your looking for a new mattress the selection is ginormous. I think ill keep Shopping around for a new mattress, but I do love that Tempurpedic cloud they sell. I would not recommend coming to this Mac store in the Manhattan Village. I had an appointment at 3 for my make up to be done. The sales associate that was assigned to do my make up didn't start until 30 minutes after my appointment. It seemed like she didn't want to do my make up because she was helping new customers that were walking up to the counter. It just seemed like all the sales associates had attitude and that they were doing Me a favor. What happened to Customer Service! Especially when I had to spend a minimum of $50. Unhappy with the way the employees act towards the customers and one another. I do not like to go in while employees are arguing with one another and acting rude and bossing each other around because they are fussing about opening card accounts. It was a very uncomfortable situation for me and my child and I do not want to feel pressured to open a credit card for a place I rarely shop either. The Laura Mercier counter was extremely disappointing. Despite receiving great service in the shoe department and Victoria Secret earlier in the day I was very offended on how I was treated. Not only would they not even let me try any products, but they said that the make up line would not be able to help me. The very rude older woman told me that unless the acne medication I use is prescribed by a dermatologist that "Laura Mercier cannot help you,. you problem is hormonal sorry." Definitely won't be coming back I didn't realize that a person with 2 pimples on her face was too much for her to handle. read more

Wow... I remember when this was the classiest place to shop at the MB mall. It is clearly going the way of Sears and JC Penny. They are overstocked and customer service is non existent. Went to the Men's department store to buy cologne for a Father's Day gift at around 7pm on Tuesday and there were no employees to be found. I finally went around the corner and found a gal. But as it turned out she couldn't find the key to open the cologne cabinet and then left only to come back with nothing more. After waiting about 20minutes with absolutely no progress on selling me the cologne, I left. The salesperson told me to "come back tomorrow". Very disappointing. read more

Had a makeup makeover at Bobbi Brown counter and it was amazing! My makeup was amazing and lasted ALL night. She detailed out everything that was used and showed me how to do it myself. Biggest thing is that it was free and she never pushed products on me. I bought a few items and have a roadmap of what else I need to buy for the fantastic look. Beware if you own an old Macy's card. My husband went to make a purchase and was told by the clerk that he had an old card and would he like to "upgrade" to a card with a chip on it. He said sure. The clerk then asked for his ID, social security number, etc. and my husband said all that stuff should be on file since he already owned a Macy's card. The clerk said that stuff isn't stored on their computers at the store, only at headquarters. My husband was confused, so he just told the clerk flat out that he wasn't giving up all that personal information again. The clerk just looked at him and FINALLY said....this is a new Macy's American Express CREDIT CARD and can be used anywhere, not just at Macy's. This clerk basically lied to my husband by sugar coating the truth about the card in the first place. And, the same thing happened to my mom. However, she opened up the new credit card (she's in her late 80s), but we have since closed that card along with her old Macy's card. Now Macy's has lost a couple of customers by being dishonest. And just an FYI...the more credit cards you have the worse your credit score is. I hope Macy's continues to flop even though they are opening up the expanded store in the Manhattan Village Mall "soon". read more

I used to be a shopper and stay close to home. But i was in the south bay area and decided to stop at Macys in the Del Amo Fashoin Center. I dont know about the rest of you but Customer Service at Department store have sunk to its lowest. They hire young people with no experience and dont train well. I was looking for a specific brand of clothing and walked around passing several employees and not one ever acknowledged me or helped me at all, I felt like i was shopping at a warehouse. When i finally spoke to the lady behind a register she was to busy to help me. So i left. This is the kind of service i expect from a Walmart. And dont shop there. read more

Normally whenever I go to the Clinique counter I met by associates who are knowledgeable about their line! This last Saturday I went in to purchase an All About Eyes Rich eye cream. I was met by an associate wearing a black coat which leads me to think she was not a Clinique associate since they normally wear white. I asked for a large All About Eyes Rich. She furrowed her brow, looked confused and repeated "Olive Eyes Rich"....ummmmm NO.....ALL ABOUT EYES RICH is the name of the product. Surprisingly she did come back with the correct product. I had a $50 gift card and was putting the rest on my debit card. The machine kept blinking for me to slide my card and when I did, nothing would happen. The associate told me several times that I had to ANSWER IT. ANSWER IT? That doesn't make sense. I figured out she meant INSERT it since my card has a chip. I was irritated over her lack of English speaking skills and told her the word answer does not make sense. You mean insert. I am sick to death of people in the customer service field who don't speak English. If you are going to hire people of other nationalities you need to make sure their communication skills are top notch. read more
